Abstract: Guest user are enabled to access network resources through an enterprise network using a guest user account. A guest user account may be created for a guest for a limited time. Guest account credentials of the guest account may be provided to the guest to use the guest account using any of a variety of techniques described herein, for example, by scanning a guest access card, credit card or mobile telephone of guest user, and providing the guest account credentials to the user based on the information obtained. A guest access management server may be configured to generate and maintain guest accounts, authenticate guest users, and track and log guest activity. A VLAN technology may be used to separate guest traffic from host enterprise traffic on the host enterprise network. After a guest user is authenticated, communications to and from the guest user may be routed to a guest VLAN.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for voice approval, where the method includes: receiving voice approval request information sent by an enterprise application server; establishing a voice communication connection with the terminal according to the contact information of the approver terminal; sending approval content audio information corresponding to the voice approval request information to the approver terminal; receiving feedback information, and obtaining approval result information according to the feedback information; and sending the approval result information to the enterprise application server. Embodiments of the present invention also provide a device and system for voice approval. In the embodiments of the present invention, the enterprise application server and the enterprise gateway are combined and improved to enable an approver to approve, in voice mode, an approval request raised by an applicant, thereby increasing the approval efficiency.

Abstract: An enterprise system includes a storage having stored thereon a private key and a processor that is configured to receive a data object including an encrypted datum; decrypt the encrypted data based on the private key to generate a first string of digits, each digit including N bits, wherein N is a positive integer; shuffle the N bits of the each digit according a pre-determined pattern of bit positions to generate a second string of digits; and substitute a subset of the N bits of the each digit with pre-determined bits to generate a third string of digits.

Abstract: A gaming system is provided. The gaming system allows users to access applications via gaming communication devices coupled to a communication network. At least a portion of the network may be wireless. The gaming applications include gambling, financial, entertainment service, and other types of transactions. The system may include a user location determination feature to prevent users from conducting transactions from unauthorized areas. The gaming system may incorporate a user profile feature according to which certain information regarding users of the system may be maintained. Such information can include, without limitation, information relating to preferences, finances, activities participated in by the users, and trends and habits of the users.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of effectuating an electronic on-line payment includes receiving at a computer server system a text message from a payor containing a payment request representing a payment amount sent by a payor device operating independently of the computer server system, determining a payment amount associated with the text message and debiting a payor account for an amount corresponding to the amount of the payment request, and crediting an account of a payee that is independent of the computer server system.

Abstract: In one embodiment, transferring payment between a first user and a second user of a communication system includes displaying a contact list in a user interface of a client executed at a user terminal of the first user, the contact list including the second user. The client retrieves and displays at least one page from a payment provider responsive to the first user selecting the second user from the contact list. The client transmits, to the payment provider, information related to the payment entered into the page by the first user, which causes the payment provider to transfer the payment from an account of the first user to an account of the second user.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes issuing a transaction on the Automated Clearing House (ACH) electronic network, the transaction including instructions for printing a check, receiving the transaction, and printing the check according to the instructions.

Abstract: Facilitating transactions using non-traditional devices and biometric data to activate a transaction device is disclosed. A transaction request is formed at a non-traditional device, and communicated to a reader, wherein the non-traditional device may be configured with an RFID device. The RFID device is not operable until a biometric voice analysis has been executed to verify that the carrier of the RFID equipped non-traditional device is the true owner of account information stored thereon. The non-traditional device provides a conduit between a user and a verification system to perform biometric voice analysis of the user. When the verification system has determined that the user is the true owner of one or more accounts stored at the verification system, a purchase transaction is facilitated between the verification system. Transactions may further be carried out through a non-RF device such as a cellular telephone in direct communication with an acquirer/issuer or payment processor.

Abstract: A method for verifying permission to use a payment system such as an electronic credit card, using a hand held communication device such as a smart phone, where the customer presents the communication device to a merchant who extracts account information from the hand held device, and the hand held device generates a transaction code that is shared with the merchant and sent by both to a financial institution. The financial institution sends a new random code to the user and the merchant, which can be compared to verify the user's account and the financial institution's approval of the transaction.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for the generation and use of merchant-customizable token formats that define tokens that represent credit card and other payment numbers in online transactions. The tokens, which are used instead of the card numbers themselves for security, can be specified by the token format to have a certain number of characters, have certain fields reserved for major card identifiers, use encryption and/or randomization, be alphanumeric, and have other formatting. The customized tokens can be used with legacy equipment that uses longer or shorter card numbers than the standard sixteen-digit payment card number format and can be less likely to be recognized as related to card numbers by identify thieves.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing items of content over a peer-to-peer system are described. Items of content are requested from a central server by a downloading peer, and the central server determines uploading peers from whom the downloading peer may request parts of the content item.

Abstract: There is provided a method and device for providing personal data of first party to a second party. The personal data is stored in an electronic device comprising a mechanism for locking and unlocking access to the personal data and/or condition data stored therein associated with conditions for accessing said personal data. The second party receives the personal data dependent on whether the personal data is in a locked state and/or whether the conditions associated with the condition data are satisfied.

Abstract: A commercial transaction method is disclosed. The method first establishes a secure link over a first air interface by a purchasing device. This secure link is between the purchasing device and a point of sale device. The method further identifies a second air interface, which is different from the first air interface, and the second air interface is used to conduct a secure commercial transaction.

Abstract: Particular embodiments provide a method for orchestrating an order fulfillment business process that includes a sub-process. In one embodiment, abstraction of business processes from an underlying information technology (IT) infrastructure is provided. An orchestration process can be designed using sub-processes such that the sub-process is assembled at run-time into an executable process. The sub-process may be defined in an interface as a single step. A plurality of services as then assembled as steps in the executable process at run-time.

Abstract: Systems and methods for individualized distribution of digital content to purchasers via portable kiosks are described. The systems contain a storage device for storing the digital content and distribution devices for distributing the digital content to a user. The distribution devices can be configured to be portable so that users who are not mobile can access the distribution device. As well, the users can use a receiving device containing unique identification data to receive and access the digital content. Such a system is extremely useful for users who are not mobile and whose use of the distribution devices needs to be controlled, such as detainees in a corrections facility. Other embodiments are described.

Abstract: A wagering game system and its operations are described herein. In embodiments, the operations can include managing multiple instances of gaming applications associated with a wagering game client device and determining event data from the multiple instances of gaming applications. The operations can further include aggregating the event data into an event repository and determining that a requesting application requests some portion of the event data. The operations can further include opening a communication channel between the event data repository and the requesting application, formatting the requested portion of the event data in a format understandable to the requesting application, and communicating the requested portion of the event data to the requesting application via the communication channel.

A method includes, from a single user interface: creating a library of content items, creating at least one other content item that includes an electronic greeting, and associating at least one component of the library with the electronic greeting to form an arrangement. The electronic greeting includes an electronic greeting card and a personalized message. The electronic greeting also includes a gift associated with a unique code. The gift includes one or more of a: music selection, movie, computer game, and video game. The gift is retrievable via electronic download upon entry of the unique code.

Abstract: An artist or a music company creates multimedia music contents using interactive media creating tools on their computer and upload to a fans club server. The fans club server maintains all fans registration information and client uploaded multimedia music/songs contents. An interactive media description module on the fans club server generates the interactive media using the multimedia contents provided by the client or the artist as its input. The generated interactive media will be distributed among the fans of the respective artist for playing on their mobile phones and review their contents online for a feedback before the songs being released in the market. The interactive media also prompts mobile phone user for purchasing the songs online. The mobile phone user can also purchase trial songs, and download on their mobile phone and make the online payment.

Abstract: A method to authorize a mobile payment for a transaction. The method includes receiving a facial image of a consumer who requests the mobile payment for the transaction using account information stored in a mobile device of the consumer, wherein the facial image is provided by a point-of-sale (POS) device while initiating the transaction on behalf of the consumer, receiving a verified facial image of an account holder, comparing the facial image of the consumer and the verified facial image of the account holder based on a pre-determined criterion to verify the consumer as the account holder, generating, in response to verifying the consumer as the account holder, an authorization of the mobile payment based on the account information, and sending the authorization to the POS device to complete the transaction.

Abstract: A device is configured to allow a user to select any of a plurality of accounts to employ in a financial transaction. The user device includes a biometric sensor configured to receive a biometric input, a user interface configured to receive a user input including secret information known to the user and identifying information concerning an account selected by the user from the plurality of accounts. The user device includes a communication link configured to communicate with a secure registry, and a processor coupled to the biometric sensor to receive information concerning the biometric input, the user interface, and the communication link. The processor is configured to generate a non-predictable value and encrypted authentication information from the non-predictable value, the identifying information, and at least one of the information concerning the biometric input and the secret information, and communicate the authentication information via the communication link to the secure registry.

Abstract: An embodiment defines access control allowing the expression of access control rules using ontology based semantics and references an ontology subset using XPath as the ontological expression. The access control rules or access criteria are defined by an access control statement and may be expressed using classification criteria and ontology classes. The access control statement comprises a structural description that is used to define an asset and a logical expression that may be used to express the classification criteria. The access control statement defines access policy for various assets.

Abstract: A Globally Unique IDentifier (GUID) is used to match an authorization request with an authorization response for a transaction between a merchant and a consumer upon an account within a payment processing system where the payment amount is unknown until after the merchant receives the authorization response that includes the GUID. After receiving the authorization response and when the payment amount is known, the merchant forms a transmission that has information for delivery to an issuer of the account. This information is sufficient for the issuer to forward the payment amount from the account to pay the merchant for the transaction. While including the GUID and the payment amount, the information does not include an identifier of the account.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for managing limited-use software on a host computer having an operating system is disclosed. A software application can be installed in the operating system as a virtualized application using light weight virtualization technology. Rights usage information for the software application is received, the rights usage information comprising a rule describing permitted use of the software application on the host computer. A determination is made whether to enable the virtualized application based at least in part on the rights usage information. Responsive to the determination, the virtualized application is enabled to be executed on the host computer.

Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method includes generating an initial key after interacting with an access device, storing the initial key at a key storage location, altering the initial key with a public key to form an altered key, and sending the altered key to a server computer along with an identifier for the access device. The altered key is changed to the initial key at the server computer and is stored with the identifier in a database in operative communication with the server computer. The initial keys that are stored at the key storage location and in the database are used to alter and restore transaction data associated with multiple financial transactions that are conducted using the access device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method that provides a merchant associated with a point of sale (“POS”) system and a consumer associated with a portable computing device (“PCD”) to complete a purchase transaction without transmitting or presenting confidential payment credentials. In an exemplary embodiment, sound is used to transmit data between the POS and the PCD. A payment request is rendered on the PCD. The consumer reviews and authorizes via a unique cryptographic signature. The merchant approves via addition of its unique cryptographic signature. A remote service in communication with the POS verifies the signatures via previously registered public keys. The transaction is then settled to a consumer account. Confirmation is returned to the POS and PCD. Advantageously, the transaction is commenced and completed without the PCD being online. Further, the consumer payment credentials are not stored on the PCD or transmitted from the PCD to the merchant POS system.

Abstract: Techniques for automated transactions are provided. A customer uses a mobile device to interact with an enterprise automation terminal to perform a transaction. At the start of the transaction, a unique barcode for the transaction is generated and displayed to the customer. The mobile device scans the barcode (can be a QR code); this causes the mobile device to communicate with a remote server that identifies the customer. Preferences for the customer are retrieved and the transaction and features of the terminal are configured based on the preferences. The transaction proceeds with the configured preferences.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiment of the present invention would provide systems, including Internet-based systems, and computer-implemented methods, for providing online Buyers and Sellers who physically transact an exchange of an item at a local meeting place, indicia of confirmation of the exchange on which to base a background online payment. The secure payment information message comprises the payment instrument and is encrypted in accordance with the security key.

Abstract: A method for combating counterfeiting and gray market is provided, the method including the steps of accessing a web platform comprising a network-connected server on which software that provides functionalities for the method executes, generating a unique identifier (“UID”) for every product unit being produced by a manufacturer, saving the UID in a database that is part of the web platform, communicating the UID to the manufacturer, associating the UID with a product unit such that the UID is hidden; verifying the authenticity of the UID, and, sending a message from the web platform indicating whether or not the verified UID is authentic.

Abstract: A method for effecting transfer of a payment amount to a merchant during a transaction between a customer and the merchant includes determining, using a processing device, a funds shortfall, accessing a funds sharing network comprising a plurality of users, identifying one or more of the users of the funds sharing network, requesting funds from the identified one or more users, and applying funds received from the one or more users to the funds shortfall. In some embodiments, identifying one or more of the users includes determining whether one or more of the users are indebted to the customer, determining levels of connection between two or more of the users and the customer, and developing a hierarchy of users based on the indebted users and the levels of connection.

Abstract: At each of a plurality of transit readers of a transit system, for each of a plurality of riders, where each rider seeks to conduct an access transaction with the transit system for access into the transit facility by using a payment device issued by an issuer in a payment system, data is read from the payment device. The data includes an encryption code that uniquely corresponds to the payment device and was created by the issuer using one or more encryption keys and a predetermined algorithm. A check will be performed, remotely and/or locally, of one or more lists of other encryption codes to determine if the encryption code is on the list. On the basis of whether the encryption code is on the list, the rider is permitted access to the facility of the transit system. The payment device need not be changed for the rider's fare. Decryption of the encryption code read from the payment device is not required to complete the access transaction.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for sharing information in a wide variety of contexts. An information sharing system is described that allows both an explicit capture process and an implicit capture process to add information items to a staging area. Further, the information sharing system supports both implicit and explicit consumption of information items that are stored in said staging area. A rules engine is provided to allow users to create and register rules that customize the behavior of the capture processes, the consuming processes, and propagation processes that propagate information from the staging areas to designated destinations. Techniques are also described for achieving exactly-once handling of sequence of items, where the items are maintained in volatile memory. Techniques are also provided for recording DDL operations, and for asynchronously performing operations based on the previously-performed DDL operations.

When a mobile communication terminal is in a connect state, code data randomly generated by a remote encoding terminal is continuously provided to the terminal and data management terminal. When an application service program on the mobile communication terminal or an application service terminal connected to the mobile communication terminal need to execute an authentication-authorization, identification data of the mobile communication terminal and its card and code data can be offered to the data management terminal to carry out a bidirectional dynamic authentication-authorization, to determine whether allow the application service program or the application service terminal to keep providing an application service or not.

The platform includes a portal that is configured to support access through a plurality of access channels configured to receive requests through one or more access channels. A request for content is received from an access device through an access channel. An identity management module is configured to determine a user associated with the message. A content manager is configured to manage content for delivery through the plurality of access channels and configured to determine eligible content for the user. A billing module is configured to process billing for the user and content provider based on the content provided to the user. The content manager is then configured to deliver the requested content to the user's access device through the access channel.

Abstract: Methods and systems for performing micropayment transactions over communication networks is provided. These methods and systems enable ubiquitous micropayments by providing a seamless payment solution in which micropayment is one of a plurality of payments facilitated. In an embodiment, the transaction value may be compared to a predefined threshold, and processed as a micropayment if said value is less than said threshold, and otherwise processed using a second processing system. In another embodiment, the transaction may be processed as a micropayment if the payee has previously been verified by the micropayment processing system. In a third embodiment, the transaction takes place using the payee's website.
