In response to subsequent requests from the client device for actions to be performed with respect to the resource, the edge server determines whether the action requires a token. When the requested action requires the token, the edge server extracts the token in the request and processes the request after validating the token.

A noise suppressor may then receive the acoustic signals from the microphone array and the VAD output and suppress the noise included in the acoustic signals received from the microphone array based on the VAD output. The method may also include steering one or more beamformers based on the VAD output. Other embodiments are also described.
