Abstract: A system and method are presented for customizing a software application for a target market. A request to access an application is received, by one or more computer servers, from a user. At least one of a preferred language of the user and a location of the user are determined by the one or more computer servers, and a target market is determined using the at least one of the preferred language of the user and the location of the user. The target market defines a language and a region. The application is rendered by the one or more computer servers by modifying at least one of a user interface of the application and a content of the application using the target market.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for query expansion. The method comprises: a) receiving a current query having at least one search term; b) inputting the at least one search term of the current query to a set of one or more query expansion modules, wherein the query expansion modules are configured to predict expansion terms of input terms; c) receiving from the set of expansion modules candidate expansion terms of the search term; d) modifying the current query using at least part of the candidate expansion terms, resulting in a modified query having at least one modified search term, The method further comprises repeating steps b) to d) using the modified query as the current query, the repeating being performed until a predefined stopping criterion is fulfilled.

Abstract: A method for estimating response relevance with respect to a received query includes receiving a set of user feedback items, a set of historical feedback data, and a set of context data, creating a user profile model according to the set of historical feedback data, wherein the user profile model indicates a weighting attribute based on the set of historical feedback data, weighting the set of user feedback items according to the created user profile model, creating a response relevance estimation model based on the weighted set of user feedback items, the received set of context data, and the received set of historical feedback data, and ranking one or more responses according to the created response relevance estimation model. The method may further include adjusting the user profile model and the response relevance estimation model responsive to receiving additional data.

Abstract: A method utilizes data discovery to support visual analysis of datasets. A user selects a data source, and the method presents a natural language interface for analysis of the data source. A user specifies an incomplete natural language command directed to the data source, and the method correlates words in the incomplete natural language command with a data field in the data source. The method determines the data type of the data field and a range of data values for the data field. According to the data type and the range of data values, the method presents one or more autocompletion options for the incomplete natural language command. Each option includes respective text and a respective corresponding visual graphic. The user selects one of the autocompletion options, and the method forms a complete natural language command. The method then displays a data visualization according to the complete natural language command.

Abstract: Segment valuation techniques usable in a digital medium environment are described. To do so, a segment valuation system first identifies the attributes that are significant in achievement of a desired metric (e.g., conversion) and then values segments based on those significant attributes. Attributes are selected from the trained model based on significance of those attributes towards achieving the desired metric. A valuation of a segment may then be calculated based on the valuations of these attributes. For example, inclusion of the selected attributes within a segment, and the valuations of those selected attributes, is then used by the segment valuation system to generate data describing a value of the segment towards achieving the metric.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable medium containing instructions for responding to a user-initiated query. One method includes logging data received through an input interface of a communication device, receiving the user-initiated query, and determining a context-based response to the user-initiated query based on the logged data stored in the at least one data base and a probability of a user of the communication device receiving the logged data stored in the at least one data base. The method also includes providing the context-based response in reply to the user-initiated query.

A first score is computed for each one of the plurality of users, the first score being computed using an edge-weighted ranking algorithm based on the user graph. A second score is computed, using a machine learning model, for each user of the plurality of users, the second score of each user being, at least partially, based on the first score of said user, with the second score of each user being representative of a probability of a first user sending a connection request to said user. A ranked contact suggestion list of one or more users of the plurality of users is generated, the one or more users being ranked based on their respective second score.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for hierarchical categorical and sub-categorical topic modeling allowing, in response to a query in natural language, a set of results to be determined which are both semantically relevant to the user and diverse, by containing information complementary or adjacent to that of the query. Such a paradigm permits exploration and discovery of new topics and ideas in large collections of documents. In some embodiments, one or more non-negative matrix factorization (“NMF”) algorithms are applied in determining a hierarchical topic model including the semantically-related categories and sub-categories. The dataset may include authorized social media data collection, and machine learning techniques can optimize the generation of the topic model and/or the search results.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for interfacing a decision engine and a marketing engine in order to provide vendor-related data in response to decision-related data is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the system and method may include providing a decision engine on a user-accessible network, interfacing a marketing engine with the decision engine on the network; receiving a plurality of user inputs with the decision engine; processing decision-related data with the decision engine in accordance with the plurality of user inputs; sharing the decision-related data with the marketing engine; processing the decision-related data with the marketing engine; and transmitting vendor-related data via the network.

Abstract: Improved crawling and curation of data and metadata from diverse data sources is described. In some embodiments, improvements are achieved by interpreting the context, vocabulary and relationships of data element, to enable relational data search capability for users. The user querying process is improved by systematic identification of the data objects, context, and relationships across data objects and elements, aggregation methods and operators on the data objects and data elements as identified in the curation process. User query suggestions and recommendations can be adjusted based on the context, relationships between the data elements, user profile, and the data sources. When the user query is executed, the query text is translated into an equivalent of one or more query statements, such as SQL or PostGre statements, and the query is performed on the identified data sources. Results are assembled to present the answer in a meaningful visualization for the user query.

Abstract: A method includes receiving input from a client at least partially specifying one or more characteristics, wherein the initial input includes a seed image and a natural language statement describing a desired change to the seed image; predicting one or more attributes of the seed image by operation of a neural network on the seed image; and parsing the natural language statement to identify desired changes to the one or more attributes of the seed image. The method also includes generating an interim target image by changing the one or more attributes of the seed image, according to the parsed natural language statement; selecting a set of images from an image database for output to the client, each of said set of images being determined to at least partially satisfy the one or more changed attributes of the seed image; and displaying the set of images to the client.

Abstract: In order to improve the integrating of datasets, improved systems and methods for matching records from a first dataset and a second dataset are provided. Records from the first dataset and the second dataset that are associated with the same individuals are identified. The records are identified using a combination of Euclidean distance, Leviathan distance, and the application of one or more rules. Once the records that are associated with the same individuals are identified, the records can be combined in an integrated dataset.

Abstract: A method for rendering context based information on a user interface includes receiving a user request to extract the context based information from a database. The database includes a plurality of documents and the request includes at least one search criteria required to determine a context of the user request. The method includes generating a list of documents corresponding to the context of the user request and rendering on a viewing portion of the user interface the list of documents corresponding to the context of the user request.

A first virtual machine is deployed into a first domain and a second virtual machine is deployed into a second domain of a computing environment. The first and second virtual machines are configured as a node pair for providing clients with access to data stored within an aggregate comprising one or more storage structures within shared storage of the computing environment. A load balancer is utilized to manage logical interfaces used by clients to access the virtual machines. During switchover, the load balancer preserves an IP address used to mount and access a data share of the aggregate used by a client.

In implementations one or more data stores are communicatively coupled with the server(s). One or more user interfaces displayed on the computing device display a website provided by the server(s) and accessed using a browser. A file selector is displayed on the website. The file selector corresponds with a file that may already reside on the computing device and/or on a file share accessible by the computing device. The file selector is configured to initiate opening of the file locally on the computing device without necessarily downloading a copy of the file through the browser. A report execution engine may generate a multi-object query language statement to translate the report type definition into query language. An indexed access execution engine may extract unique IDs of the objects and join the unique IDs to generate an index. A Lucene based search engine may be accessed according to the index, and the response is post processed to generate a multi-object report. The method includes providing access to a set of content items with metadata describing the content items and providing access to structural knowledge showing semantic relationships and links among the content items. The method further includes providing a user preference signature, receiving a first input from the user that is intended by the user to identify at least one desired content item, and determining an ambiguity index of the first input. If the ambiguity index is high, the method determines a query input based on the first input and at least one of the structural knowledge, the user preference signature, a location of the user, and the time of the first input and selects a content item based on comparing the query input and the metadata associated with the content item.

Abstract: The disclosure relates generally to knowledge retrieval using ontology-based context matching. Conventional knowledge retrieval methods and systems are based on generative context that is modeled loosely as some meta data annotations. The meta data annotations do not provide sufficient semantic basis for meaningful context matching, compromising safety aspect. Other typical systems are designed such that the context is encoded into knowledge elements themselves, thus matching is too strict and the knowledge can only be used in contexts that match exactly, compromising the reuse aspect. The disclosed method and system explicitly models the context in which knowledge is generated, and matches the problem context with the generative context of knowledge, with respect to the underlying domain ontology, to assess the degree of similarity between the two, which then provides the basis for ranking the suitability of different knowledge elements for the problem context.

The external table includes a plurality of partitions. The external-table metadata is stored by the database platform. The database platform identifies data that satisfies the query by scanning the identified subset of the partitions, and responds to the query at least in part with the identified data that satisfies the query.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, text is received at an ecommerce service from a first user, the text in a first language and pertaining to a first listing on the ecommerce service. Contextual information about the first listing may be retrieved. The text may be translated to a second language. Then, a plurality of text objects, in the second language, similar to the translated text may be located in a database, each of the text objects corresponding to a listing. Then, the plurality of text objects similar to the translated text may be ranked based on a comparison of the contextual information about the first listing and contextual information stored in the database for the listings corresponding to the plurality of text objects similar to the translated text. At least one of the ranked plurality of text objects may then be translated to the first language.

Abstract: An active layer of the index includes a first shard group, and shards in the first shard group are configured to store indexes of a part of data objects in a streaming storage system. In response to determining that the state of the first shard group meets a predetermined expansion condition, a second shard group is created in the index, and shards in the second shard group are configured to store indexes of data objects that will enter the storage system. The storage system is managed based on the shards in an active layer (where the second shard group is located) and frozen layers (where the second shard group) in the index. The number of shards in the storage system can be dynamically set to process streaming data at a relatively high speed, and it is suitable for processing streaming data that continuously enters the storage system.

Abstract: The disclosed techniques in artificial intelligence include at least a system and a computer-implemented method for performing a predictive search that compensates for a misclassification. For example, the system can set a user-defined classification of a physical characteristic of the user and retrieve an image captured by a camera device. The system can aggregate binary feedback data submitted by authorized users about the image, predict a classification for the physical characteristic by processing the image with a machine learning (ML) process, and search a database based on a query, which has criteria that includes an indication of the aggregate binary feedback data, the user-defined classification, the predicted classification, and/or data indicative of the user's feedback. The system can then identify a search result that satisfies the query and cause a user device to display a recommendation that includes the search result.

A method includes: receiving first audio data; processing the first audio data to generate a first predicted output; determining that the first predicted output satisfies a secondary threshold but does not satisfy a primary threshold; receiving second audio data; processing the second audio data to generate a second predicted output; determining that the second predicted output satisfies the secondary threshold but does not satisfy the primary threshold; in response to the first predicted output and the second predicted output satisfying the secondary threshold but not satisfying the primary threshold, and in response to the first spoken utterance and the second spoken utterance satisfying one or more temporal criteria relative to one another, identifying a failed hotword attempt; and in response to identifying the failed hotword attempt, providing a hint that is responsive to the failed hotword attempt.

Abstract: The disclosed search engine and search engine system apply a variety of criteria to find specific information within a full-text dataset, even when its user cannot recall the exact text or exact spelling of the desired information. The criteria cause retrieval of text not only when the sequence of words in the query matches the sequence of words in the text identically but also when the difference between sequences is that one of the words in a sequence is missing, added, replaced, or replaced with a synonymous word or a word having phonetic similarity. Another criterion is that the two words in the query sequence differ in order from the two words in the text sequence to be retrieved. The above criteria are applied after stop list words are disregarded. The search engine accordingly enables a user to find text more easily in large full-text datasets by inexact text searching.

Abstract: Computerized systems and methods facilitate searches by identifying instances in which search input is an ambiguous query and resolving the ambiguous query. The search system identifies ambiguous queries by querying a common data store prior to querying a patient database. More particularly, when the search system receives search input entered into a search tool, the search system queries the common name data store before querying the patient database to determine if the search input matches a common name and is an ambiguous query. If so, the search system may provide a notification to the user to indicate the search input is an ambiguous query with a common name and prompt the user to enter additional search criteria. In some instances, the search system may prevent a search from being performed on the patient database if the search input matches a common name until additional search criteria is entered.

Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting risk for a medical event associated with evaluating or treating a patient for a disease are provided. Input medical imaging data and patient data of a patient are received. The input medical imaging data includes abnormality patterns associated with a disease. Imaging features are extracted from the input medical imaging data using a trained machine learning based feature extraction network. One or more of the extracted imaging features are normalized. The one or more normalized extracted imaging features and the patient data are encoded into features using a trained machine learning based encoder network. Risk for a medical event associated with evaluating or treating the patient for the disease is predicted based on the encoded features.

Abstract: An information processing device, an information processing method, a computer readable storage medium are provided. The information processing device comprises processing circuitry configured to: construct, for each of a plurality of indexes, a sample unit set for the index based on a plurality of minimum labeled sample units related to the index which are obtained and labeled from an original sample set; and extract, for at least a part of the constructed plurality of sample unit sets, a minimum labeled sample unit from each sample unit set, and generate a labeled training sample based on the extracted minimum labeled sample unit. A sample unit set is constructed based on minimum labeled sample units that are labeled manually, and a labeled training sample is generated automatically based on such sample unit sets, thereby generating the labeled training sample automatically to a certain degree, and reducing manual participation.

A list of first-order documents and document custodians within a base state of the e-discovery system are identified based on a plurality of terms corresponding to a meet and confer practice for a legal matter instance. The plurality of terms is masked within the first-order documents. The first-order documents having the plurality of terms masked are divided into groups. A list of second-order documents is generated from a group of documents. A list of second-order document custodians is generated based on corresponding custodian relationships to second-order documents. Finally, each second-order document custodian in the list of second-order document custodians that has a corresponding rank exceeding a defined rank threshold level is identified as an official document custodian in the e-discovery system.

A first data packet identifying first personal data that is related to a first user of the first user account is received. Whether the first data packet satisfies a condition that the first data packet include data values for each of the first attributes specified by the first data packet type for a first data category is determined. Each artificially-intelligent agent performs computations on the graph-structured data in each subgraph that each agent is responsible for managing. The artificially-intelligent agents may work cohesively together to provide artificial intelligence capabilities to the entire graph database. The graph database may optimize itself through intelligent local management by using the agents.

The controller accepts an input of a plurality of topic words through the operation device, recognizes, upon acceptance of input of images of a plurality of pages of the original document through the operation device, a character string in the image of each of the plurality of pages of the original document, makes a determination of whether or not the character string contains at least one of the plurality of input topic words, and classifies the respective images of the plurality of pages of the original document on basis of the individual topic word based on results of the determination for the individual pages of the original document by collecting the images of the pages of the original document containing the same topic word into one group.

Abstract: A graphical user interface allows a customer to specify delimiters and/or patterns that occur in event data and indicate the presence of a particular field. The graphical user interface applies a customer's delimiter specifications directly to event data and displays the resulting event data in real time. Delimiter specifications may be saved as configuration settings and systems in a distributed setting may use the delimiter specifications to extract field values as the systems process raw data into event data. Extracted field values are used to accelerate search queries that a system receives.
