Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a system for facilitating dynamic assistance to a user in an augmented reality (AR) environment of an AR device. During operation, the system detects a first element of an object using an object detector, wherein the object is associated with a task and the first element is associated with a step of the task. The system then determines an orientation and an alignment of the first element in the physical world of the user, and an overlay for the first element. The overlay can distinctly highlight one or more regions of the first element and indicate how the first element fits in the object. The system then applies the overlay to the one or more regions of the first element at the determined orientation in the AR environment.

Abstract: Systems and methods according to aspects of the invention verify requests for information over a network. Computing devices communicating over a network transmit numerous signals with various types of information including spatial information, temporal information, device-specific information, and transmission specific information. This information may be used to generate statistical records of valid request for information. Various combinations of these signals may be used to determine whether a request for information is a valid request based on the statistical records associated with the signals. Where a request for information has been verified, the system and method may provide the information. Where the request for information has not been verified, the system and method may deny the request for information. Thus the system and method may be used to prevent and block scraping and spamming attacks.

The method involves: determining a media file used when communicating through a message queue; acquiring identification information of a communication sender; and adding the identification information to an access control list of the media file, such that the communication sender can access the media file, so that the communication sender can communicate through the message queue. Identification information of the communication sender is added to the access control list of the media file, increasing the probability that the communication sender successfully accesses the media file, and thereby improving the success rate of the communication sender through the message queue, and improving the communication stability of the Windows system.

Abstract: A retrieval apparatus includes a first retrieval unit, a second retrieval unit, and an integration unit that calculates an integrated similarity by integrating a first similarity calculated by the first retrieval unit and a second similarity calculated by the second retrieval unit. For similarities between a basic image, an image similar to the basic image, and an image dissimilar to the basic image of the reference images, at least the feature extraction of the first retrieval unit is learned such that a margin based on a second similarity between the basic image and the similar image and a second similarity between the basic image and the dissimilar image increases as the second similarity between the basic image and the dissimilar image increases relative to the second similarity between the basic image and the similar image.

  • Patent number: 11790898
Abstract: Techniques for prioritizing resources of various users, associated with a device, when responding to a user input received from the device are described. When a user input is received from a device, a system may generate a resource list for a group profile (e.g., a household profile) and each user profile (including any guest user profile) associated with the device. Each resource list may include the catalogs of resources (e.g., songs of a playlist, contacts of a contact list, etc.) of the group profile or user profile. The system may also generate a weight matrix including a respective weight for each catalog of each resource list. Various processing components (e.g., an automatic speech recognition component, a natural language understanding component, and an entity resolution component) may process using the resource lists and the weight matrix to determine an output responsive to the user input.

  • Patent number: 11784959
Abstract: An email message delivery system is described that provides a fast and reliable managed email delivery service using MTAs and proxy servers. An email message is selected by an MTA for processing. The MTA determines a sender and an intended recipient associated with the email message. The MTA then identifies a pool of usable source internet protocol addresses for the email message based on the sender and selects a particular source IP address from the pool. The MTA then identifies a particular proxy server that is configured to handle the selected particular source IP address and communicates to the particular proxy server, information including the particular source IP address and the destination IP address. The MTA then transmits the email message to the destination IP address using a connection established by the proxy server between the particular source IP address and the destination IP address.
