Recommending print locations can include receiving recommendation, user, and geographic information for a first mobile print location (MPL) and a second MPL. Recommending print locations can also include indexing the recommendation, user, and geographic information for each of the first MPL and the second MPL as an automatically created uniform resource indicator (URI) on an MPL system. Furthermore, recommending print locations can include ranking the first MPL and the second MPL based on the recommendation, user, and geographic information and presenting a list, via a user interface, of the ranked first MPL and the second MPL.

The method includes receiving a search request including search criteria, and searching the metadata database for a digital media selection matching the search criteria. A mapping of metadata of the media selection may be utilized to find a matching media article that directly or indirectly matches the search criteria. The method also includes determining availabilities of the matching media article and the matching media selection. A search result set with the matching media articles and matching media selections is provided, based on their availabilities. An associated content provider may be linked to the customer based on a subscription. The media selection may be accessed by an audio/visual display interface.

In one aspect, a method of query based on vertical search receives a user query. The method obtains a first category model from a category model warehouse based on the user query to generate a first query result. The first category model includes one or more commodity categories that correspond to one or more keywords in the user query. The method also obtains one or more commodity categories corresponding to the user query from a commodity warehouse to generate a second query result. The method further generates a final query result by combining the first query result and the second query result.

Abstract: A system and method of searching for physical media articles available from article dispensing machines within a geographic proximity is provided. Searching may include matching keywords in search criteria or using predefined search criteria for browsing of static or dynamic listings of media content. The method includes receiving a search request including search criteria, and searching the metadata database for a physical media article matching the search criteria. The method also includes determining the availability of the matching media article at an article dispensing machine. The geographic location of article dispensing machines with available matching media articles is determined, based on personally identifying information such as an IP or MAC address. The geographic location may be limited by a proximity from an audio/visual display interface. A search result set with the matching media articles is provided, based on their availabilities.

Abstract: A system and method for processing audio text files includes a content repository storing audio text files. A text transformer linguistically analyzes the audio text files within a content of multiple lexicons to form edited text results and creates a reflection repository having reflection files therein corresponding to the audio text files from the edited text results. A search engine searches the reflection files and a user device displays a first reflection file from the reflection files or a first audio text file from the audio files in response to searching.

Abstract: Action-based search results are provided that include deeplinks to a particular action to allow an end user to view various locations for performing that action and to quickly access those locations to perform the action. In some instances, when a search query is received, the search query may be identified as corresponding with a particular action. Action-based search-results with deeplinks to locations for performing that action are identified and returned. In other instances, traditional search results may be provided in response to a search query. One of the search results may include an action-based deeplink for a particular action. An action-pivot link may be provided for that action that, when selected, causes action-based search results for that action to be identified and returned for presentation to the end user.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for generating answers to questions. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving a query, conducting a search through one or more data sources to identify candidate answers to the query, and providing each of the candidate answers with a preliminary score. The method further comprises filtering out any of the candidate answers with a preliminary score that does not satisfy a defined condition. The candidate answers having preliminary scores that satisfy this condition form a subset of the candidate answers. Each of the candidate answers in this subset is processed to produce further scores. A ranking function is applied to these further scores to determine a ranking for each of the candidate answers in the subset; and after this ranking function is applied, one or more of the candidate answers are selected as one or more final answers to the query.

Abstract: A method and system for coping with slice and dice operations in data warehouses is disclosed. An external approach may be utilized, creating queries using structured query language on a computer. An algorithm may be used to rewrite the queries. The resulting predicates may be joined to dimension tables corresponding to fact tables. An internal approach may be utilized, using aggregation functions with early aggregation for creating the queries. The results of the slice and dice operations may be outputted to a user on a computer monitor.

Using the systems and methods described herein, an identification of an audio or video clip relevant to a user search query is received. The user search query has one or more keywords. Occurrences of the keywords and the locations of the occurrences are identified in a transcription of the identified audio or video clip. Clip segments are extracted from the audio or video clip. Each extracted clip segment includes an identified keyword occurrence. A query-dependent clip preview is created that includes at least one extracted clip segment. The query-dependent clip preview can be provided in search results for the user search query to provide an informative preview that is specific to the query to which the clip is relevant.

Clustered computers may be arranged in a cloud-type configuration for storing and handling large amounts of user data under the control of a front-end management server. Communities of distributed users may collaborate on the data across multiple enterprises. Very large tabular data files are uploaded to the storage facilities. The data files are maintained as tables, and a composite table of related information is created and maintained in response to user queries. Different ways of visualizing the data are provided. Depending on the amount of information that can be displayed, features in a spatial index may the thinned for presentation. Abstract: A flexible and extensible architecture allows for secure searching across an enterprise. Such an architecture can provide a simple Internet-like search experience to users searching secure content inside (and outside) the enterprise. Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for supplementing user-specified text for a search with context information to generate search results that is more closely matched to the user's needs. A context search component maintains a snapshot of the user context and additional context-based queries are generated and corresponding searches are performed. The search results of the context-based queries are merged with the results of the user-specified text query and displayed for the user. When the user accesses a resource listed in the merged search results, the context-based terms mentioned in the resource are identified to the user.

The system includes a user interface through which the user queries the system with query terms for images contained in the system. Word image suggestions are displayed to the user through the user interface, where each word image suggestion contains the same or slightly variant text as recognized from the word image by the system than the particular query terms. Word image suggestions can be included in the system by the user to increase system recall of images for the one or more query terms and can be excluded from the system by the user to increase precision of image retrieval results for particular query terms.

The system includes a database for storing claim data and a server in communication with the database. The stored claim data includes a claim workflow associated the claim. The workflow defines the processing steps associated with processing the claim. The server receives a user request to check the status of the claim. The server determines status data of the claim based on stored claim data and outputs the status data to a graphical user interface for depicting a graphical representation of the status data. The graphical representation includes a timeline corresponding to the workflow of the claim and a progress bar indicative of the status of the claim.

Abstract: In one aspect of the present invention, a software component for conducting digital forensic searches is described. The software component has a header; one or more search markup language programs, and a data features section. The software component, also referred to as a search pack, enables a first entity, such as a federal investigation agency, to share its suspect and sensitive data with a second entity, such as another investigative agency in a manner that allows the second agency to utilize the suspect data while not revealing the actual content of the sensitive data to the second agency. The second agency can perform comparisons and other operations on the sensitive data without having to know the actual content of the data. The search pack allows an investigative agency to define an investigative strategy for a particular case via the search markup language programs and by the data features that it includes in the search pack.

A system practicing the method receives a search query formatted according to a standard XML markup language for containing and annotating interpretations of user input, the search query being based on a natural language spoken query from a user and retrieves search results based on the search query. The system transmits the search results to a user device and iteratively receives multimodal input from the user to change search attributes and transmits updated search results to the user device based on the changed search attributes. The search results can include a link to additional information, such as a video presentation, related to the search results. The system can generate an iteration transaction history for each multimodal input and updated search result.
