Tape Recorder Patents (Class 708/108)
  • Patent number: 8397229
Abstract: This invention generally relates to a methods and system in the field of independent programs operating within an operating system such as Linux and more particularly to computer software embodied in a computer readable medium including: an independent program for running autonomously in a native mode within an associated computer processor; an operating system program for running autonomously within an associated computer processor; a mode switcher process for switching operation from the independent program to the operating system program whereby the independent program functions as an embedded entity of the operating system; and wherein the mode switcher program switches the independent program from the operating system program whereby the independent program runs autonomously in the native mode.

  • Patent number: 6915172
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for enhancing process control. Disclosed herein is a method for enhancing process control including initiating a manufacturing process to create a product. The initiating includes setting a control on a machine in response to an initial system model. The manufacturing process is tuned in response to the initial system model. The tuning includes running the machine in response to the initial system model, monitoring a primary output parameter of the product and performing an adaptation process while the manufacturing machine is running. The adaptation process includes adjusting the control on the machine, updating the initial system model to define an updated system model in response to adjusting the control and running said machine in response to said updated system model. Additional embodiments include a system and a storage medium for enhancing process control.

  • Patent number: 6611853
Abstract: The modular switch instrument card has a single or double slot card frame having a front panel. The card frame has module receiving areas for receiving selected switch modules. Each switch module is configured to provide a particular switching function. One or more switch modules may be positioned into the module receiving areas such that switch connectors on the switch modules extend through the front panel and are available for connection to an automated test system. The switch modules may be fixedly mounted within the card frame or may be removably coupled. Each switch module couples to an interconnect bus backplane enabling all installed switch modulars to communicate to a switch interface. The switch interface provides a communication interface to the VXI backplane, thereby providing a uniform and consistent programming interface independent of which switch modules are presently installed into the module receiving areas.
