Abstract: A system may include electronic devices such as a head-mounted electronic device, a cellular telephone, a wristwatch device, a computer, and other devices. During operation of the system, one or more of the electronic devices may gather information on the positions of the electronic devices. Information may also be gathered on the positions of objects and obstructions. This position information and/or other information such as information on which sensor resources are available in each of the devices may be used to determine which of the sensors of the electronic devices in the room should be shared. Shared sensors may gather information that is communicated wirelessly to other devices for use by those devices.

Abstract: A method for data communication between a first node and a second node includes forming one or more redundancy messages from data messages at the first node using an error correcting code and transmitting first messages from the first node to the second node over a data path, the transmitted first messages including the data messages and the one or more redundancy messages. Second messages are received at the first node from the second node, which are indicative of: (i) a rate of arrival at the second node of the first messages, and (ii) successful and unsuccessful delivery of the first messages. A transmission rate limit and a window size are maintained according to the received second messages. Transmission of additional messages from the first node to the second node is limited according to the maintained transmission rate limit and window size.

The mobile device includes a processor, a memory, and a computer program stored in the memory. When the computer program is executed by the processor, the mobile device is enabled to perform: After it is detected that the first application belongs to a first-type application, automatically outputting first prompt information, where the first prompt information is used for giving a prompt for switching the first wireless projection mode to a second wireless projection mode; or automatically switching the first wireless projection mode to a second wireless projection mode, and performing wireless projection onto the electronic device in the second wireless projection mode.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for dynamically linking device data models and asset data models. A first data model link between a first one or more asset data model components of an asset data model and a first one or more device data model components of a device data model is dynamically updated. The device data model is processed to determine normalized data relationship paths utilized by an inference engine to populate a device element data set. A first determined normalized data relationship path for a first device(s) is inferred. The method and system execute an asset data model query against the asset data model comprising analyzing asset data model component metrics by querying the device element data set, based on the updated first data model link, and generate an asset data model descriptive analytics determination output, based on the execution of the asset data model query.

Abstract: A method for networking, including: in response to the terminal entering an effective communication range of a first NFC sensing device in a first router, interacting with the first NFC sensing device, so that the first router or the terminal obtains key information, in which the key information is configured for networking the first router and a second router; and in response to the terminal entering an effective communication range of a second NFC sensing device in the second router, writing the key information into the second NFC sensing device.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for validating and registering an IHS (Information Handling System) and components of the IHS for technical support. Upon delivery and initialization of an IHS, an inventory certificate that was uploaded to the IHS during factory provisioning of the IHS is retrieved. The inventory certificate includes an inventory that identifies factory-installed hardware components in the IHS. The inventory also specifies whether a registration requirement has been specified for the IHS, such as to initiate technical support. While still operating a pre-boot validation process, an inventory is collected of the detected hardware components of the IHS. Based on the inventory certificate, the validation process confirms whether a detected hardware component is a factory-installed hardware component and determines whether registration is required. If required, registration of the IHS is initiated by the validation process and initialization of the IHS continues.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a two-tier DNS (Domain Name System) service for processing DNS requests. In some embodiments, the two-tier DNS service deploys first and second tiers of service machines, with the second-tier having several groups of service machines each of which is configured to resolve DNS requests for a different set of domain names than the other second-tier group(s). Each service machine in the first-tier is configured to identify the second-tier group responsible for each particular DNS request that the service machine receives for each particular domain name, and to forward the particular DNS request to the second-tier group that it identifies for the particular DNS request. The first-tier DNS service in some embodiments has only one group of service machines. Each first or second service machine group in some embodiments can have one or more service machines, and can be scaled up or down to add or remove service machines to the group (e.g., through an active/active layer 3 scaleout with BGP).

Abstract: In an example, a network switch is configured to natively act as a high-speed load balancer. Numerous load-balancing techniques may be used, including one that bases the traffic “bucket” on a source IP address of an incoming packet. This particular technique provides a network administrator a powerful tool for shaping network traffic. For example, by assigning certain classes of computers on the network particular IP addresses, the network administrator can ensure that the traffic is load balanced in a desirable fashion. To further increase flexibility, the network administrator may apply a bit mask to the IP address, and expose only a portion, selected from a desired octet of the address.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, methods and techniques for providing network applications. For instance, remote system(s) may generate a link that provides access to a network application. After generating the link, the remote system(s) may provide the link to a device of a source, such as a user, a developer, or a third-party service. The source may then use the device to share the link with a user. For example, the source may use the device to send a message that includes the link, post the link on a website, or share the link using a social media platform. The user may then use a device to view and select the link. Based on selecting the link, the remote system(s) may perform one or more actions. For example, the remote system(s) may create a session for the network application and provide the device with data to connect to the session.

Abstract: In some implementations, a support system may receive, from a user device, a support request to setup a support session. The support system may establish the support session based on the support request by enabling support communications associated with the support session to be exchanged between a terminal device associated with the support system and the user device. The support system may determine an intent associated with the support session by using artificial intelligence processing to process one or more utterances received from the user device. The support system may provide, to the terminal device, a delegation message that includes an option to enable the support communications associated with the support session to be exchanged between the user device and an assisting device associated with the support system. The assisting device may execute an automated support agent.

Abstract: A system and method for creating a performance-optimized server image. The method includes receiving logs that include performance information of one or more servers of a first type. Current values for performance parameters of the one or more servers are determined based on the logs. Optimal value ranges for the performance parameters are determined. In response to determining that, for at least one performance parameter, a current value is outside a respective optimal value range, incremental changes are determined. The incremental changes are applied to a latest version of a server image of the first type to create a new version of the server image. New values for the performance parameters are determined. In response to determining that, for each performance parameter, a new value is within a respective optimal value range, the new version of the server image is validated as a performance-optimized version of the server image.

Abstract: A system is provided that permits the use of classification information that can be interpreted by a computer system. To this end, a system and method may be provided for creating classification information that may be interpreted by a computer system. Such classification information may be associated with content, and permit a computer system to process the content based on the classification information. In one example, classification information may be associated by a user, system, or process with a portion of content, and a computer system processes the content based on the classification information. For instance, the classification information may cause content to be processed in a particular way, be presented to a user by a particular application program, cause the content to be forwarded to a particular user, or otherwise influence how the content is handled.

Abstract: A Bluetooth plus radio frequency identification (RFID) beacon for use vehicle fleet management and geofencing system, wherein the beacon comprises a housing, and a circuit board disposed within the housing. The circuit board comprises a Bluetooth communication circuitry portion containing a unique media access control (MAC) address, and an RFID circuitry portion integrated with the Bluetooth communication circuitry portion such that the RFID circuitry portion is associated with the Bluetooth circuitry MAC address whereby the Bluetooth beacon can be identified, via the MAC address, by an RFID reader communicating with the RFID circuitry portion using the MAC address of the Bluetooth communication circuitry portion.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a novel method for managing layer four (L4) ports associated with a machine executing on a host computer. The method collects a set of contextual attributes relating to applications executing on the machine. It then analyzes the collected contextual attributes to identify at least one L4 port that has to have its status modified. Next, it modifies the status of the identified L4 port. In some embodiments, the status of an L4 port can be either open or closed, and the modification can open a closed port or close an open port. In some embodiments, the method is performed when the machine starts up on the host computer, performed each time a new application is installed on the machine, performed periodically to close unused L4 ports, and/or performed periodically to close L4 ports that should not be open based on a set of L4-port control policies.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to identity-based risk evaluation using risk scores for different identities. The disclosed techniques include a server system that provides a service usable to perform computing operations for requesting users. The system may receive a request to perform a particular computing operation from a client device. Based on a name of a user associated with the request, the system assigns an first type of identity that is a birthright identity to the user. Based on details of the request, the system assigns additional identities to the user that are different identity types than the first type of identity. The system may score, based on accessing a risk score database storing known risk information associated with different identity types, the first type of identity and the additional identities. The system may generate a response based on the scoring and transmit the response to the client device.

The method further includes configuring a traffic kernel module within the network device to provide the network connection to the client device, the connection defined by the set of network policies corresponding to the provided passphrase. Each network policy describes a functionality and governs the circumstances in which it is applied, the functionality being at least one of an access, a capacity, and a resource.

In embodiments, a communication engine can be provided to a client. The communication engine can intercept a first communication message directed to a server on a client. For example, the first communication message can correspond to the first protocol. Additionally, the first communication message can be converted into a second communication message corresponding to a second protocol. Further, a persistent second protocol communication session can be initiated between the client and server by transmitting the second protocol message. Abstract: Disclosed are various approaches for workflow service back end integration. In some examples, a command is transmitted causing a client device to present a workflow action to perform. A user command to perform the workflow action is identified using the client device. Authentication data including user credentials and a navigation action for a visual user interface is identified. The user credentials are transmitted to the network service and an emulation of the navigation action is performed. A command that performs the workflow action is transmitted to the network service.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a method for interconnecting a plurality of networks, including a first network, with a second network via an interworking gateway (IWG). The method may comprise receiving a request from the first network for a user in the first network to access at least one service or application available in the second network, determining at least one criteria associated with the second network to enforce for the user in the first network, and enforcing the at least one criteria for communications associated with the user between the first and second networks. The IWG may be a cloud-based service that is configured to perform the aforementioned steps. The IWG may also be configured to be dynamically scalable to support multiple networks in the plurality of networks requesting interconnection with the second network.

In various embodiments, the disclosed techniques include a server system providing a service usable to provide various computing operations for requesting users, where the server system includes various components with associated component identifier values. In various embodiments, different sequences of the components are usable to perform different ones of the various computing operations. In response to a request from a client device, the server system may perform a requested computing operation via a processing flow that utilizes a particular sequence of components. In various embodiments, the server system generates a particular flow signature value for that particular processing flow, including by generating a flow identifier value by combining component identifier values for the particular sequence of components.

Abstract: A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The client device accesses an acceleration server to receive a list of available tunnel devices. The requested content is partitioned into slices, and the client device sends a request for the slices to the available tunnel devices. The tunnel devices in turn fetch the slices from the data server, and send the slices to the client device, where the content is reconstructed from the received slices. A client device may also serve as a tunnel device, serving as an intermediate device to other client devices. Similarly, a tunnel device may also serve as a client device for fetching content from a data server. The selection of tunnel devices to be used by a client device may be in the acceleration server, in the client device, or in both.

The wireless communication network monitors performance of text-messaging functions and voice-calling functions. The wireless communication network prioritizes the text-messaging functions and the voice-calling functions based on their performance. The wireless communication network transfers function lists that prioritize the text-messaging functions and the voice-calling functions by their performance. The wireless communication network wirelessly exchanges text-messaging signaling and voice-calling signaling between the wireless communication devices and the text-messaging functions and the voice-calling functions. Individual ones of the wireless communication devices exchange the text-messaging signaling with selected ones of the text-messaging functions based on the function list that prioritizes the text-messaging functions by their performance.

Abstract: Representative embodiments set forth techniques for verifying an identity of a primary user of a primary account on a client device. A method may include receiving, for the primary account, a request for identity verification responsive to an action of a secondary account associated with the primary account and identifying a payment registration characteristic of a payment registration associated with the primary account. The configuration parameters include an identifier of a second user that is permitted to join the virtual interaction session and a micro-chat duration that defines a time limit for a real-time communication link between the first and second user during the virtual interaction session. The real-time communication link between the first and second user by causing display, by the second device, of a live camera feed generated at the first device. Upon expiration of the micro-chat duration, the real-time communication link between the first and second user is terminated.
