The familiarity level data and/or trust level data can be updated with each encounter with another user. The presentations of the same avatar can be different to the other users encountered at the same time, e.g., a lower resolution avatar presented to a less familiar and/or less trusted other user, a higher resolution avatar presented to a more familiar and/or more trusted other user. Audio volume and/or clarity may be similarly modified based on relationship data. A user having an encounter with another user may have a mirror view of the user's own avatar, and can improve or degrade the avatar's appearance (and/or aural output) during the encounter.

More specifically, it provides a virtual reality dais, or interactive experiential environment for event hosts to create interactions in real time between people, businesses, and event personnel. The invention allows an individual, personified in an avatar, to have real-time physical encounters and experiences from remote locations and independently travel through an event. Participants in a conference, tradeshow or music, sporting, competitive gaining or other events can become directly engaged in speaking sessions, educational forums, meetings and social settings even if they cannot be there physically. Abstract: A method for communicating with users in a virtual reality space includes capturing images of a user during a session of interaction in the virtual reality space, with the captured images including hand gestures and facial expressions made by the user during a communication act. The method also includes processing state data generated during the session, to identify a context associated with the virtual reality space during the communication act. The method further includes generating an audio output representing an interpretation of the hand gestures and facial expressions. The audio output includes sound modifications that are dynamically applied based on the context of virtual reality space. Still further, the method includes presenting the audio output in the virtual reality space via an avatar of the user. The face of the avatar is correspondingly modified with a video overlay associated with the sound modifications, which update during the communication act.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards associating a rescue tag with a victim in need of rescue, in which the rescue tag collects condition (biological state) data associated with the victim and provides a location of the rescue tag. The location data is maintained in association with the condition data. A responder makes a request to output the condition data, and in response, the responder's device is presented with an augmented reality display that shows the victim condition data relative to the location data. Multiple victims can be efficiently triaged, with more urgent victims highlighted via augmented reality for more urgent treatment. Filtering as requested by a responder can present augmented reality display for only a subset of the victims. Also described is the use of an aerial vehicle to assist the responders and/or a command center; the aerial vehicle can act as an edge node for efficient communication.

The interaction message is used to trigger the display of an animation of the head portrait of the second user account in a second chat interface. This provides for a new interaction between user accounts, and can provide a subtle reminder function.

The user associated with a second interaction with the SFS from a second device at the first location is identified. Abstract: A system and method for authoring and implementing context-aware applications (CAPs) are disclosed. The system and method enables users to record their daily activities and then build and deploy customized CAPs onto augmented reality platforms in which automated actions are performed in response to user-defined human actions. The system and method utilizes an integrated augmented reality platform composed of multiple camera systems, which allows for non-intrusive recording of end-users' activities and context detection while authoring and implementing CAPs. The system and method provides an augmented reality authoring interface for browsing, selecting, and editing recorded activities, and creating flexible CAPs through spatial interaction and visual programming.
