Abstract: The present invention intends to improve the operability when a user performs a drag & drop operation to shift an icon from the present page to another page. A user interface apparatus detects whether an end portion of an icon has been brought into contact with a display frame of the page, irrespective of the position of a finger or a pen that operates the icon. If the contact state continues for a predetermined time, the user interface apparatus causes the page to transit. Therefore, smoothly and intuitively shifting the icon to the next page is feasible.

Abstract: A 3D play system which includes a head-mounted/headset device. The head-mounted device includes a supporting structure, a first lens, and a second lens. The supporting structure is configured to support two display devices. The first lens is configured to zoom an image displayed by a first display device and project the zoomed image onto a left eye. The second lens is configured to zoom an image displayed by a second display device and project the zoomed image onto a right eye.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are display systems, methods, devices, and machine-readable mediums which provide for a gesture-based method for specifying a region of a display in which to show shared content. Also disclosed are pairing methods for associating the region of the display with a content source device, methods for sharing content within the region, and methods for providing input from the region back to the content source device.

Abstract: Techniques for monitoring operating statuses of an application and its dependencies are provided. A monitoring application may collect and report the operating status of the monitored application and each dependency. Through use of existing monitoring interfaces, the monitoring application can collect operating status without requiring modification of the underlying monitored application or dependencies. The monitoring application may determine a problem service that is a root cause of an unhealthy state of the monitored application. Dependency analyzer and discovery crawler techniques may automatically configure and update the monitoring application. Machine learning techniques may be used to determine patterns of performance based on system state information associated with performance events and provide health reports relative to a baseline status of the monitored application. Also provided are techniques for testing a response of the monitored application through modifications to API calls.

Abstract: A system and method for targeted gaming news and media feeds is provided. Information about an interaction by a user with an interactive content title and a plurality of interactive content titles may be stored in memory. A processor executes instructions stored in memory, wherein execution of the instructions by the processor analyzes the information stored in memory regarding interaction by a user with an interactive content title and identifies one or more keywords that characterize the user interaction with the interactive content title. Media stored in a database may be filtered based on the identified keywords and displayed within a targeted media feed on a user device of the user. The displayed targeted media may be updated based on new information regarding user interaction with the interactive content title.

One or more performance metrics associated with each user interface layout of the plurality of user interface layouts may be monitored, where the one or more performance metrics characterize a performance of the task by one or more task users. A second user interface layout may be selected based on an analysis of the one or more performance metrics. The second user interface layout may be provided to a plurality of users of a computer-implemented software application.

Abstract: A system and method for capturing and reproducing an on-screen GUI displayed on a display device of a first computer system are described herein. According to one embodiment, a system call is invoked, and a capture area is selected. Based on the content of the capture area, display information and software information is encapsulated in an OS object. The OS object may be packaged into a file and transferred to a remote computer system for reproduction thereon or for reproduction on a second application program of the first computer system. When the content of the OS object is recreated on the remote computer system, a remote user is able to interact with the components of the reproduced on-screen GUI.

According to certain embodiments, a user experience level is determined based on usage of a software application and other detected factors. Based on the user experience level, at least in part, a user interface is adapted to provide an improved experience for the user of the adaptive user interface.

User-defined unified information is adapted to be handled on the added management hierarchical level. The user-defined unified information is formed to allow arbitrary reproduction ranges contained on a lower hierarchical level to be registered.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for relative quality of service indicators. A processor obtains quality of service data for a sector that is serving a user device. In response to determining that a quality of service associated with the sector is degraded, an offer can be provided to the user device to upgrade the quality of service. In response to detecting acceptance of the offer, enhancement of the quality of service can be triggered. Quality of service data for the sector can be collected. The quality of service data can represent the quality of service for the user device and a further quality of service for another device located in the sector. Quality of service display data that presents the quality of service for the user device and the further quality of service for the other device can be generated and provided to the user device for display.

One or more embodiments described herein identify contributing factors based on statistical analysis and machine learning. Additionally, one or more embodiments identify sub-factors associated with each contributing factor. In one or more embodiments, the systems and methods provide an interactive display that enables a user to select a particular anomaly for further analysis. The interactive display also provides additional interfaces through which the user can view informational displays that illustrate the factors that caused the particular anomaly and how those factors correlate with each other.

When such conditions are satisfied, an indication is surfaced in the user interface that the person is active in the content item.

Abstract: A wireless communication device may wirelessly control an object, such as a physical device, directly or through interaction with a virtual representation (or placeholder) of the object situated at a predefined physical location. In particular, the wireless communication device may identify an intent gesture performed by a user that indicates intent to control the object. For example, the intent gesture may involve pointing or orienting the wireless communication device toward the object, with or without additional input. Then, the wireless communication device may determine the object associated with the intent gesture using wireless ranging and/or device orientation. Moreover, the wireless communication device may interpret sensor data from one or more sensors associated with the wireless communication device to determine an action gesture corresponding to a command or a command value. The wireless communication device may then transmit the command value to control the object.

Abstract: Email has become commonplace as a means to communicate among parties non-synchronously by exchanging email messages. Some communications, however, may be more effective in real-time or in near real-time. For instance, service providers may offer a chat feature to accommodate real-time or near real-time help or service communications with customers. However, in this case, the user is likely required to enter credentials and/or context information to transition into a different communication type with the service provider. The present systems and methods provide a continuous conversation experience for the user whereby a message recipient of one message type (e.g., email, text, etc.) may continue a conversation in a different message type (e.g., a chat session, instant message, etc.) without manually providing message context for communicating via the second message type.

In one aspect, a method is disclosed that includes operations of obtaining, by a LiFi transceiver unit, a vehicle identifier that identifies a vehicle, providing, by the LiFi transceiver unit and to a server, the vehicle identifier using an internet protocol network, wherein the server is configured to determine a location of the vehicle based on the vehicle identifier and an identity of the LiFi transceiver unit that provided the vehicle identifier, receiving, by the LiFi transceiver unit and from the server, the location of the vehicle and location-based content, encoding, by the LiFi transceiver unit, the location-based content into multiple light signals, and providing, by the LiFi transceiver unit, the encoded location-based content to the vehicle using the location of the vehicle.

Data is stored for use by a hardware processor in a memory. The hardware processor executes a graphics engine. A GUI is output by the graphics engine, the GUI including a first portion of the GUI comprising a user entry field for receiving a user input for configuring behavior of a network security system, a second portion of the GUI, for displaying a translation of the user input in a tabular form, and a third portion of the GUI, for displaying a translation of the user input in a graphical form. In one implementation, the user of an online movie service can share information about the contents of a library or other such rights locker, e.g., under Ultraviolet™ and DECE. Users may also share likes and dislikes. The movie service may make suggestions based on the contents of the user's library and the contents of other user's libraries, such as those of the user's designated friends. A user can become a follower or fan of another user and receive recommendations based on the target user's profile or specific recommendations made by the target. The user can receive a credit on their account or on a related account when another user makes a purchase that is attributable to that user, e.g., from a recommendation. A user may be designated as an influencer when followed by a sufficient number of other users.

Abstract: A method detects an event or anomaly in real-time and triggers an action based thereon. A stream of data is received from data sources. The data includes at least two categorical features and a real-value measurement. Sketching is performed on the features using min-wise hashing to create sketches of the data. A regression tree is learnt on the sketches so as to estimate a mean squared error. It is determined whether an event or anomaly exists based on the mean squared error. An action is triggered based on at least one of a type, location or magnitude of the determined event or anomaly.

Abstract: Using various embodiments, methods, and systems for implementing a dynamically customized three dimensional geospatial visualization techniques in a point cloud are disclosed. In one embodiment, a user's current area of interest can be determined to generate a dynamically customized three dimensional geospatial setting. In one embodiment, the area of interests can be determined based on a user's actions, behavior, and/or preferences. The geospatial (exterior or interior) settings or the content displayed within the settings can be dynamically customized in real time for each user.

Abstract: Techniques are provided that allow users to collaborate in relationship to data views, application displays, applications or events. A user can type in a text view related to a specific view in an application display, and the information is shared with other users that take part in sharing that view. A user that expresses an interest in an event is notified about the event and has the capability to interact, in relation to the event, with other users (e.g. by text). The particular form of interaction (and sharing) can be selectively specified. This interaction is comparable to a dynamic bulletin board where the subject is event driven. In the case of an event interest(s), users specify their interest (e.g. in other user application events or system events) and the system automatically alerts them to the occurrence of the event.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a user interface (UI) are provided. The UI may include UI features that are generated using metadata. The UI features may include fields for receiving text, field labels, layout details for fields in the UI, or placeholder text for the fields. The metadata may be associated with an application service provided by a server device. A computing device may receive the metadata once the application service is invoked. The metadata may be modified at the server device. Therefore, UI features may be modified, added, or removed without requiring code changes at the computing device or server device.

Abstract: In a medical imaging apparatus and method for operation thereof, data acquisition protocols are stored, each containing data acquisition parameters of the medical imaging apparatus that define a data acquisition operation. In the event of an update, which changes the possible setting scope for data acquisition parameters, of at least one software and/or hardware component of the medical imaging apparatus to a current equipment version, and/or in the event of the input of a data acquisition protocol not defined for the current equipment version, a set of rules is applied to all protocols not defined for the current equipment version. The rules include at least one adaptation rule for at least one data acquisition parameter, which rule, when applicable, increases at least one quality measure for image data recorded using the data acquisition protocol to which the adaptation rule is applied.

Abstract: An interface for editing content items permits users to enter tasks and designate metadata relating to the tasks, such as an assigned user for the task, a deadline for the task, and a category of the task. A content item browser presents content items to a user along with a summary of the task completion of tasks within the content item. The summary of task completion may be limited to tasks matching a search query. This permits a user to identify content items and tasks related to the search query from the content item browser, without entering an interface for modifying the content item.
