Abstract: Techniques are described herein for generating network topologies based on models, and deploying the network topologies across hybrid clouds and other computing environments that include multiple workload resource domains. A topology deployment system may receive data representing a logical topology model, and may generate a network topology for deployment based on the logical model. The network topology may include various services and/or other resources provided by different tenants in the computing environment, and tenant may be associated with different set of resources and deployment constraints. The topology deployment system may determine and generate the network topology to use the various resources and comply with various deployment constraints of the different tenants providing the services, and the tenants consuming the network topology.

Abstract: A proxy apparatus acts as an intermediary between one or more bot apparatuses and one or more communication channels. The proxy apparatus connects a communication channel to a bot apparatus for the exchange of messages. A user can interact with the bot apparatus through the communication channel. The proxy apparatus is configured to perform one or more operations or services. Example operations include, but are not limited to, registration, authentication and authorization, the recordation of telemetry data, schema transformation, and identity transformation.

Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that operates according to a variety of different location-based biasing modes for rendering responsive content for a user and/or proactively suggesting content for the user. The user can provide condensed spoken utterances to the automated assistant, when the automated assistant is operating according to one or more location-based biasing modes, but nonetheless receive accurate responsive outputs from the automated assistant. A responsive output generated by biasing toward a subset of location characteristic data that has been prioritized over other subsets of location characteristic data. The biasing allows the automated assistant to compensate for any details that may be missing from a spoken utterance, but allows the user to provide shorter spoken utterances, thereby reducing an amount of language processing when processing inputs from the user.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving an interaction identifier by a processor and in response to an input entered by a user at a first user interface of a mobile device. The input is associated with a frame within a page displayed at the first user interface. The method further includes receiving interaction information and application deeplinking purchase information associated with the purchase identifier and determining a uniform resource identifier (URI) of a second user interface at the mobile device. The second user interface is different from the first user interface. The method includes sending a signal, based on the URI, to cause the second user interface to be rendered at the mobile device with the interaction information pre-populated to complete an interaction requested by the user.

Abstract: An application programming interface (API) as a service is disclosed. In embodiments, a client provides code to be executed along with a configuration file for that code. Based on that, virtual machine(s) and load balancer(s) may be selected, a domain name service configured, and throttling and scaling configured. Through this, an API as a service may be provided on behalf of a client with minimal configuration required by the client or an administrator of a web service platform that provides the API as a service.

Abstract: System and methods are described for specifying, deploying, and using plugins during replication of a database. The method includes receiving a replication plugin service configuration specifying a plurality of plugins, getting a first database plugin specified by the replication plugin service configuration, getting one or more reader plugins specified by the replication plugin service configuration, deploying the first database plugin and the one or more reader plugins to a relay communicating with a source database, and getting data from the source database using the first database plugin and the one or more reader plugins.

Abstract: An approach for establishing and managing authentication circles is disclosed. The circles may be used to facilitate management of accounts, goals, or resources of one or more entities, or to provide an integrated view of the circumstances of, for example, family members or other interrelated persons. A person receiving assistance with the management of one or more accounts need not disclose authentication credentials to persons helping manage the accounts, enhancing security. Members may view members and access accounts administered by separate computing systems without needing credentials for each member, account, and/or computing system. The multiple accounts (which may be held at multiple institutions) need not be accessed individually by each member of the authentication circle, saving time and computing resources of users.

The database includes a plurality of documents and the request includes at least one search criteria required to determine a context of the user request. The method includes generating a list of documents corresponding to the context of the user request and rendering on a viewing portion of the user interface the list of documents corresponding to the context of the user request.

Abstract: Method, system, and programs for measuring user engagement with content items. In one example, a query is received. A set of content items related to the query is obtained. A presentation of at least one content item of the set of content items is provided on a user interface. A user activity related to the at least one content item is determined. An amount of time between a time at which the presentation of the at least one content item is provided on the user interface and a time at which the user activity occurred is determined. A score associated with the content item is determined based on the amount of time. Information related to user engagement with the set of content items is generated based on the score.

In one embodiment, a computer implemented method includes scanning a cloud network computing system tenancy to, for each subdivision of a set of subdivisions of the tenancy, (i) identify an IP address range assigned to the subdivision, and (ii) identify any immediate parent subdivision to which the subdivision belongs; for each subdivision in the set of subdivisions, determining a proportion of the IP address range assigned to the subdivision that is free in the subdivision based on the identified IP address ranges and the identified parent subdivisions for the subdivision; generating a graphical user interface showing the proportion of the IP address range that is free for one or more of the set of subdivisions; and transmitting the graphical user interface for display on a computing device associated with a user.

Abstract: The methods and systems described herein can be used for generating a graphical representation, such as a heatmap, for displaying and visualizing a given metric associated with one or more distributed resources in a distributed environment. A heatmap generally refers to a graphical display of data in which values are located in a matrix and indicated by the intensity of a color, hue, shading or some other gradient, or by geometric shape or other format. Heatmaps provide a way of visualizing metrics of a large number of resources easily for capacity management, among other uses. Generally, and as set forth in greater detail, the disclosed subject matter provided herein includes methods and systems for collecting, processing, and visualizing operational data of distributed resources via a heatmap by a monitoring system in a distributed environment.

Abstract: Top-of-rack (TOR) switches are connected to a network fabric of a data center. Each TOR switch corresponds to a rack of the data center, and is configured to provide access to the network fabric for computing devices mounted in the rack. In one method, a client device of a user is used to select various network service options. The service options correspond to services that can be provided to computing equipment of the user that is mounted in various racks of the data center. In response to receiving the selection of one or more service options, the network fabric of the data center is configured to connect the computing equipment to the selected services. In one approach, the network fabric is configured by creating and/or configuring one or more virtual networks to provide the connection to the services.

Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for predictive curation, and production infrastructure. In certain embodiments, the system includes a user interface, which may take the form of a “virtual curator,” a graphical or animated persona for augmenting and managing interactions between the user and the system managing the user's stored media assets. The virtual curator can assume one of many personas, as appropriate, with each user. Embodiments of the system leverage data points, calendar entries, trends, behavioral patterns to predict and pre-emptively build digital and printable products with selected collections of images without the user's active participation.

Abstract: A spatial indexing system receives a set of walkthrough videos of an environment taken over a period of time and receives an image search query that includes an image of an object. The spatial indexing system searches the set of walkthrough videos for instances of the object. The spatial indexing system presents search results in a user interface, displaying in a first portion a 2D map associated with one walkthrough video with marked locations of instances of the object and a second portion with a histogram of instances of the object over time in the set of walkthrough videos.

Abstract: A method and system for the recognition of sensor data, like an accelerometer and a gyroscope. The method includes data/feature enrichment before a learning process. Thus, the learning process can benefit from better data, which includes both raw sensor data and enriched data/features. As a consequence, classification models may become less complex without harming accuracy and, therefore, can be more easily deployed to mobile devices, consuming less processing power and battery.

In an example implementation, in response to a user interface (e.g., dashboard with multiple widgets in a web application) being launched on the client device, the server initiates a refresh of the cache for the widgets; and transmits a first set of data obtained from the cache for widgets in the user interface before the cache is updated in response to the initiated refresh. Abstract: An electronic device and method are provided for display of a programming guide for content associated with broadcaster and VOD applications. The electronic device receives a DTV signal that include programming content items associated with broadcaster applications on the electronic device and extracts a set of in-band metadata associated with programming content items. The electronic device selects a set of VOD assets offered by at least one VOD application on the electronic device and extracts a set of out-of-band metadata associated with the programming content items and the selected set of VOD assets from at least one metadata source. The electronic device parses the set of in-band metadata and the set of out-of-band metadata and combines such parsed sets of metadata into a unified metadata file based on a master template. Based on the unified metadata file, the electronic device controls a display device to render a programming guide.

Abstract: A system and method automatically associates an image and passage from a text. In the system and method, a user can choose or supply an image and the system and/or method will choose a limited selection of relevant word passages for the image from a relatively large volume of potential passages. The system and method utilize a computer system wherein a concept generator and a passage generator processes the content of the image so as to assign words to describe the content, then weight the descriptive words (tags) and assign passages based on the tags and weighting. The passages can be filtered so as to remove inappropriate passages.
