According to one embodiment, an electronic message and information verifying the electronic message is human originated are received. Abstract: A system and method are provided wherein SMS-only contacts are integrated into an IM environment. An IM contact list interface distinguishes between SMS and IM chats (and contacts), such that limitations and potential differential costs associated with the respective mediums can be identified. The system is also configured to route SMS messages into the IM contact list interface for later filtering and/or selection by the user. By providing SMS-specific categories with the IM contact list interface SMS integration operations such as routing of SMS messages can be controlled to avoid degrading the user's experience.

Separate displays are provided at a recipient user device for separately displaying via the user device header information of an electronic message and message content including a media component. The message content and the header information are correlated with a unique identifier. The header information is displayed in a message list via a first display. The message content including a media component is displayed via a second display. The display of the header information via the first display does not include a display of the media component. Methods, systems, and computer readable media with separation of the display of media component and header information in various implementations may provide for reduced traceability of an electronic message.

In one aspect, a method includes tracking where a user is gazing as the user is composing an outgoing message on a first computer system; during a composition time period in which the user is composing the message, determining a number of times the user's gaze dwells on a displayed message after the user's gaze is directed away from the message, determining a relevance rating for the gaze areas, each gaze area associated with one of the messages based on the number of times the user's gaze dwells on the associated message; identifying, based on at least one of the relevance ratings, at least one displayed message that is related to the outgoing message; and associating with the outgoing message an identifier for at least one of the at least one displayed message that is related to the outgoing message.

Additionally, the system may enable a user to delay display of a conversation until a later time based on various criteria such as location, time, and client device. A user may also move important emails to the top of an inbox for prominent display. The system may perform the actions automatically based on observed user behavior. Furthermore, the system may enable touch interactions for interacting with and managing the conversations, and quick controls may be provided for executing commands to perform actions associated with the conversations.

A plurality of tiles may be generated for a plurality of different email messages and the display grid may display all or a portion of the plurality of tiles. Abstract: Disclosed herein are broadcast receivers and methods for sharing event information. At a sender end, event information for a broadcast is collected after receiving a command from the sender and a message is created that includes the event information. The sender may then select one or more contacts with whom to share the event information. Thereafter, the message and information on the contact is transmitted to a mobile device of the sender over a short range communication link. The message may then be automatically forwarded from the mobile device to the selected recipients. At the recipient end, the message is received from the mobile device of the recipient over a short range communication link and processed to determine if the message is a recommendation message. If so, the contents of the message are extracted and displayed on a television display of the recipient.

Abstract: A method and system for providing anonymous sidebars between participants in a existing conference session such as a push-to-talk session for instance. Each applicable participant in the session has a private handle that represents the participant but that does not reveal the true identity of the participant. Further, the conference server hosting the session maintains or has access to mapping data that correlates each participant's private handle with a participant identifier that is sufficient to allow the conference server to engage in network communication with the participant. The server provides each participant with a list of other participant's private handles, and a given participant can then initiate a sidebar by sending a sidebar-initiation request designating one or more private handles selected from the list. Using its mapping data, the server then identifies the corresponding participants and sets up the anonymous sidebar.

If the score satisfies a priority criterion, the prioritization system identifies communications from that contact that have not yet been reviewed by the user. When scores for multiple contacts satisfy the priority criterion, the prioritization system may order the contacts based on their scores.

The method can include the step of sending an initial message that includes a first participant in which the first participant is one of several participants that are part of the initial message. The method can also include the step of receiving a silence command that is configured to restrict one or more characteristics associated with future messages that are related to the initial message. The silence command can identify the characteristics to be restricted and may be on behalf of the first participant. In response to the receipt of the silence command, a future message rule can be generated that is configured to apply the characteristic restrictions identified by the silence command to future messages that are related to the initial message.

Conversations are presented as a list of items in the communication application. A quantity of presented items is limited based on a size of a client device employed for viewing the items. Visualizations are applied to the presented items to attempt to maximize a number of items that are presented while providing information about the items to enable a user to preview content and take actions on the items. The visualizations include different templates applied to each item based on a type of item and content associated with the item, and the templates may be are dynamically updated based on user interactions with the items. The templates for items are determined by applying a set of rules and factors to each item to determine a most appropriate visualization for each item.

Abstract: A visual communications (VC) tool creating visual arrangements and presenting the visual arrangements to others for feedback and comment in an efficient and secure manner. An author uses the VC tool to generate a folio, storyboard, or presentation, and publishes the generated arrangement to desired recipients. The published arrangement is uploaded to a server once, and a recipient equipped with a copy of the VC tool downloads the arrangement in response to a notification from the server. Thereafter, only changes to the visual arrangement are uploaded to the server and forwarded to the recipient. The recipient may transmit a comment on the visual arrangement back to the author's VC tool. The author's VC tool tracks and automatically correlates all received comments to their respective arrangements, allowing them to be concurrently displayed on a single screen.
