  • Patent number: 9860357
Abstract: A method for establishing a wireless connection based on a touch screen of a wireless device. The wireless device includes a slide-out processing section for determining, in response to a slide-out from an edge of the touch screen, a first slide-out parameter for determining by the other wireless device an object to be connected, and broadcasting the first slide-out parameter. The wireless device further includes a slide-in processing section for determining a slide-in parameter in response to a slide-in from the edge of the touch screen and reception of a second slide-out parameter directionally transmitted from the other wireless device. Furthermore, if the determined slide-in parameter matches the second slide-out parameter, then the slide-in processing section establishes a wireless connection between the wireless device and the other wireless device. As a result, an authenticated wireless connection between short-range wireless terminals can be established more conveniently.

  • Patent number: 9537945
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a display device's behavior based on a dynamically-changing event associated with another display device are disclosed. In one example, a peer-to-peer distributed data network system comprises a first display device that operates a peer-to-peer distributed system application, which detects a dynamically-changing event associated with a second display device to either maintain or change the first display device's current behavior. In one example, the dynamically-changing event is a change of display content, new sensory information, or another new event for the second display device. If the peer-to-peer distributed system application determines that the dynamically-changing event of the second display device merits a change in the first display device's current behavior, the first display device's current behavior may be replaced by a new device behavior, such as switching from a currently-shown content or a user interface menu to a different content or a different menu.

In addition to the typical search result caption (title, snippet, and link), the architecture includes the label component of one or more of the label items in the result entry. The number and type of label annotations are based on the query. When a particular label item is selected (e.g., hover, mouse click), a presentation component (e.g., expansion object, pop-up window) launches proximate to a label item in response to interaction with the label item and presents additional information from the target webpage. The additional information can include an action and data related to the search result entry and the target webpage. The data can be obtained from a data source other than the target webpage.

Abstract: A dual-screen user device and methods for revealing a combination of desktops on single and multiple screens are disclosed. A number of desktops and/or running applications can be selectively displayed on dual screen displays conditioned upon inputs received and the state of the device Desktop displays and applications can be selectively shifted between the screens by user gestures or moved off of the screens by other user gestures and therefore hidden. The hidden desktops and screens however can be re-displayed by yet another gesture. The user gestures prevent the user from having to open and close the running desktops and applications, or to execute other user commands that otherwise result in a laborious effort by the user to manage the multiple desktops and applications. One user gesture or input enables a user to change an order of the window stack by simply re-launching a selected desktop or application.
