Abstract: An information processing apparatus that communicates with an image processing apparatus and provides a chat service includes a communication unit that receives image data generated by the image processing apparatus reading an image on a document, an acquisition unit that acquires information for identifying a storage location where the received image data is to be stored, a storage unit that stores the received image data in the storage location based on the acquired information, and a control unit that controls the acquired information to be displayed in a talk room of the chat service.

Abstract: A user interface configuration may permit a user to make selections while the interface is dynamically adjusting and reconfiguring its layout and appearance for optimized user satisfaction. One example method of operation may include receiving an input command on a first menu displayed on a touch receptive surface of a user device and modifying a current view of the first menu by moving a menu item either upward or downward among a number of different menu options. The method may also include selecting the menu item responsive to the received input command and also receiving an additional input command to select a functionality to apply to the menu item, and applying the functionality to the menu item.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention include receiving, by a processor, a request to copy a code from a source file and receiving, by the processor, a request to paste the code into a destination file. Aspects also include creating, by the processor based at least in part on the request to paste the code, an entry in a database, the entry having an identification of the source file, an identification of the destination file, a location of the code in the source file, and a location of the code in the destination file.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for augmenting a copy operation with contextual information from a source. The method includes one or more processors determining that a user provides input selecting content, within a document, and input adding the selected content to a clipboard. The method further includes one or more processors determining a classification of the selected content based on analyzing the selected content and the document utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP). The method further includes one or more processors extracting information associated with the selected content from the document based on the determined classification. The method further includes one or more processors updating the clipboard with the selected content and the extracted information.

Abstract: A method for determining the significance of a document, or a portion thereof, is disclosed. Accordingly a search engine, or some other application, analyzes user associated content portions of a document to determine a relevance score for the document (e.g. Curation Rank). The particular algorithm for determining the relevance score will vary depending upon the particular implementation, but may generally be based upon an analysis of the number and quality of user associated content portions, comments, ratings of the user's themselves, and the ratings of users contributing to interactions (e.g. sharing) with the content portions. Based on this analysis, the document is assigned a relevance score which is used for ranking the document in accordance with instructions associated with a search query. E.g. the document relevance score may be used in selecting and ordering documents returned in search results for a particular search query.

Abstract: An information handling system may include a host system including a host system processor and a host system memory coupled to the host system processor; and a management controller configured to provide out-of-band management of the host system. The management controller may be configured to establish a virtual console session between the host system and a remote terminal. The management controller may further be configured to, in response to a command from the remote terminal to send data from the remote terminal to the host system, mount a partition of the management controller such that the partition is accessible to the host system, wherein the partition includes the data. The management controller may be further configured to transmit a notification to the host system indicating the command and the partition, wherein the host system is configured to receive the data from the partition in accordance with the command.

Abstract: Systems and methods for proactively identifying and surfacing relevant content on an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining information identifying a first physical location viewed by a user in a first application. The method further includes detecting a first input. In response to detecting the first input: a second application is identified that is capable of accepting geographic location information; and an affordance is presented that is distinct from the first application, with a suggestion to open the second application. The suggestion includes information about the first physical location. The method further includes detecting a second input at the affordance. In response to detecting the second input at the affordance, the second application is opened and populated to include information that is based at least in part on the information identifying the first physical location.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method and computer processing system are provided. The method includes intercepting, by a processor, a sequence of data elements related to an interaction between a user and a user interface of a computer system that includes the processor. The method further includes identifying, by the processor, atomic operations within the sequence and metadata associated with the atomic operations. The method also includes calculating, by the processor, correlation indexes from the metadata. A respective correlation index is calculated for various atomic operation groups formed from the atomic operations. The method additionally includes identifying, by the processor, a macro operation from at least one of the correlation indexes. The macro operation includes multiple correlated atomic operations from among the atomic operations identified within the sequence.

Abstract: An insertion feature is provided with a clipboard manager application. The clipboard manager application initiates operations to provide the insertion feature upon detecting a copy operation. In response, an item associated with the copy operation is stored. Next, a paste input is intercepted. A sample content of the item is rendered in a clipboard user interface (UI) for a selection. Upon detecting the item as selected, the item is inserted into a previously active application.

Abstract: In an approach for creating a file, a computer receives a selection on a selection of content within application software on a first computing device to transfer to a clipboard. The computer appends metadata of the received selection with metadata indicating application software and file association information that corresponds to the selected content. The computer receives an indication to paste the selected content from the clipboard to a second computing device. The computer determines whether compatible application software on the second computing device is capable of accepting the selected content included in the received indication to paste. The computer responsive to determining that compatible application software on the second computing device is not capable of accepting the selected content included in the received indication to paste, creates a file that includes the selected content included in the received indication to paste and appended metadata.

Abstract: An intelligent terminal may comprise at least one processor-readable non-transitory storage medium and at least one processor in communication with the at least one storage medium. The at least one storage medium may comprise at least one set of instructions for automatically pasting a URL from a clipboard to an address bar of a web browser. The at least one processor may be configured to execute the at least one set of instructions to obtain a URL copied by a user from a clipboard; determine an intention of the user associated with whether to paste the candidate string in a designated location of an interface displayed on the intelligent terminal; and automatically display the candidate string in the designated location of the interface when the intention of the user is determined to paste the candidate string in the designated location of the interface.

Abstract: A default virtual interface is replaced by an adapted interface to an independent application. The adapted interface allows one (dependent) application to be accessed from within a second (independent) application. This allows, for example, a game application to be executed within a text messaging application. Output of the dependent application can be conveyed to the base application. The adapted user interface optionally includes a plurality of shortcut keys each represented by a different shortcut icon. One or more of the shortcut keys are optionally configured for sharing the dependent and/or independent applications with remote devices. Content shared via the virtual interface is optionally provided as a data stream and is optionally mapped to a social network, such sharing can be tracked across social networks.

Abstract: An illustrative implementation is described for copying an identified portion of source content along with style information associated with the portion. The implementation allows the identified portion to be pasted into target content. By virtue of the extraction and retention of style information, the identified portion that is pasted into the target content visually resembles the identified portion as it appears in the source content. The implementation can identify relevant style information to be preserved based on a contextual analysis of style information applied to the source content. In one illustrative case, some of the style information may be revealed by parts of the content that are not directly demarcated by the identified portion.

An application functionality applied to a data element range may be represented by a selectable preview element that provides a preview of the application functionality applied to the data element range. Upon selection of a preview element, one or more drop zones may be displayed. The preview element may be dragged to a drop zone and may animate into a visualization of the application functionality applied to the data element. The type of visualization that is displayed may be dependent on the drop zone to which the preview element is dragged. After a preview element is dropped into a drop zone, the functionality may be applied to the data element range and be displayed. The interactive data visualizations may encourage a user to explore features of an application.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and devices for rendering interactions between virtual and physical objects on a substantially transparent display are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes displaying a user-interface on a substantially transparent display of a wearable computing device. The method further includes displaying a virtual object in the view region at a focal length along a first line of sight and detecting a physical object at a physical distance along a second line of sight. The method still further includes determining that a relationship between the focal length and the physical distance is such that the virtual object and the physical object appear substantially co-located in a user-view through the view region and, responsive to the determination, initiating a collision action between the virtual object and the physical object.

Abstract: Dynamic configuration of cross-environment applications enhances the computing experience in a computing environment with an extended active user environment and/or multiple active user environments. A mobile computing device maintains multiple active device configurations associated with multiple active user environments and/or application windows within active user environments. Device configuration qualifiers are determined from a variety of sources including device characteristics, device indicators, user settings, and/or application presentation. The mobile computing device selects active resource sets for applications based on the device configuration qualifiers. Application presentation is dynamically updated by disestablishing an application screen and establishing a new active application screen using a different resource set. The mobile computing device may be a smartphone running the Android mobile operating system and a full desktop Linux distribution on a modified Android kernel.

The thumbnail contains a miniaturized view of the data. The clipboard manager further allows the user to identify a paste location in the document that is to be edited. The user can employ the clipboard manager to insert the data at the paste location by selecting the thumbnail from the clipboard.

Abstract: A formatting tool enables “smart” copy and paste functions. The “smart” copy and paste functions can be invoked in a context-sensitive manner, depending on the conditions under which the copy and paste functions are implemented. The present invention will automatically include in a selection a paragraph marker at the end of a selected paragraph, if every other textual character in the paragraph has been selected. The present invention will discard a paragraph mark that is included in pasted text if the pasted text is pasted into the middle of another paragraph, indicating that the user prefers the formatting of the pasted-into paragraph. The present invention also reduces inconsistencies in formatting styles that may exist between source and target documents automatically redefining a style in the target document to conform to a corresponding style in the source document. The present invention also automatically adjusts paragraph spacing, in response to text being pasted into a target document.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media for displaying a clipboard. A method can include receiving at a client device, two or more copied pieces of content copied from one or more resources, receiving an indication to display the two or more copied pieces of content, determining a form field associated with the indication, ranking the two or more copied pieces of content based on the form field, and displaying at the client device, a clipboard with the two or more copied pieces of content ranked.

Abstract: A multi-screen user device and a universal clipboard application are described. Specifically, the universal clipboard application can be open on one screen of the multi-screen device while another application, from which data is either being copied to the clipboard application or pasted from the clipboard application, is open on another screen of the multi-screen device. Inputs received on the screen displaying the universal clipboard application can cause content to be copied to an application being displayed on the other screen of the multi-screen device, thereby providing an intuitive user interface for the universal clipboard application.
