The method includes establishing the entity relationships as bi-directional relationships, wherein the bi-directional relationships link two disparate entities. The method further includes representing the entity datablock as a node and the bi-directional relationships as lines connecting two nodes, wherein the node comprises at least one of the entity descriptive information, the entity category, or the entity name.

Abstract: Computer-implemented design tool functions are described herein for automatically performing edits across different portions of one or more design layouts. According to an example, a method includes causing a display device to display a design interface used to edit a design layout, which includes at least a first frame and a second frame. The method includes receiving first input to initiate a multi-edit mode in the design interface and receiving second input to perform a first operation to edit a first node in the first frame. The method further includes identifying, based at least in part on the second input, a second node in the second frame and corresponding to the first node in the first frame. In this example, the method includes performing, based at least in part on the second input, the first operation to edit the first node in the first frame and a second operation to edit the second node in the second frame.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for displaying and interacting with multiple open views in a mobile environment. An example method can include displaying content for a first web page in a first pane in a maximized state on a mobile device, receiving a touch input on a navigation control associated with the first pane, and responsive to receiving the touch input, displaying a second web page in a second pane on the mobile device, the second pane being in a minimized state in a dock area. The dock area can overlay the first pane in the maximized state and the minimized state of the second pane can display a smaller version of the second web page than the second pane in a maximized state. In some examples the second web page updates content in parallel with the first web page.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for creating digital flash cards that include links to content from one or more digital content sources, referred to herein as a flash card mode. The mode allows a user to create a digital flash card by selecting a portion of a digital content source and performing a create command. The created flash card includes at least two virtual sides and a first side of the flash card identifies the location of the selected portion of digital content. The location may be identified, for example, by a canonical fragment identifier (CFI). Text can then be entered for a second side of the flash card. Flash cards can be shared with other users, and because the flash cards only identify locations of content within digital content sources, the mode is well-suited to handle sources including digital rights management (DRM) protection, for example.

Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for providing visual feedback during touch-based operations on user interface (“UI”) elements. Through implementations of the disclosed technologies, visual feedback can be provided to users during certain touch-based operations on UI elements presented by touch-enabled computing devices. The visual feedback can provide confirmation to users that certain touch-based operations on UI elements were performed successfully. The visual feedback provided by the disclosed technologies can make it easier for users to select a UI element, to understand that actions taken to select a UI element were successful, and to successfully perform operations on UI elements once they have been selected. These benefits can reduce the number of times users need to attempt certain touch-based operations on UI elements. This, in turn, can reduce the utilization of computing resources, such as memory and processor cycles, by touch-enabled computing devices implementing the disclosed technologies.

In a method, first and second access data are obtained for a first and a second group of users who access a first and a second website, respectively. A first and a second jump path are generated for the first and second groups of users based on the first and second access data, respectively. The first and second jump paths describe access history for the first and second groups of users among webpages in the first and second websites, respectively. A similarity is determined between the first and second websites based on the first and second jump paths. Here, access data are used for similarity determination and unvisited webpages are not considered in the similarity determination. Therefore, the computation workload may be lowered, and the noise caused by the unvisited webpages may be reduced.

The content structure includes objects, where each object has attribute table entries. Upon finding an identified attribute table entry of the matching object that matches the related word, a new content structure is generated. The new content structure includes the matching object and the identified attribute table entry. A content segment is generated for output (e.g., for display on the electronic book) based on the new content structure.

The resulting index may be used to create a highlights reel, which may serve as an index into a live show or may be used to determine the best time to insert materials into a recording of the conversation. The index may be used to automatically detect events in the video feed, to allow viewers to skip ahead to exciting moments (e.g., represented by clusters of applications of particular types of media effects), to determine where each participant spoke in a discussion, or to provide a common “watch together” experience while multiple users watch a common video. An analysis of the index may be used for research or consumer testing.

The client device re-ranks content items received from the online system based on information received during a given session. The session information may indicate the types of content items viewed during the given session, or the speed at which the user is viewing content items during the given session.

Abstract: An interactive viewing system of the present invention provides a user with a viewing duality in which a user is shown a floor plan, schematic layout, or other diagram on one side of a display and a visual representation, such as a digital image, corresponding to a selected portion of the schematic layout or diagram, on the other side of the same display. The user is presented with a current position marker and a directional indicator as they navigate through the schematic layout. Abstract: According to principles of the present inventive concepts, a keyboard plug-in for a MMS application permits a user to search a database of lyrical segments to include within a messaging conversation as a message to a recipient. A search bar permits the user to enter a search query. A display area displays search results received from the database containing lyrical segments with lyrical content related to the user-supplied search query. Upon selection of a desired search result, the lyrical segment is copied and pasted into a messaging box of the user's MMS application and is transmitted to a recipient when the user sends the message. Upon receipt of the message containing the lyrical segment, the recipient plays the lyrical segment on their messaging device by clicking the message.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for performing an operation based on an identification of similar lines of questioning by input question sources. Question information identifying extracted features of an input question and a first source of the input question is obtained. A clustering operation is performed to cluster the input question with one or more other questions of a cluster based on a similarity of the extracted features of the input question to features of the one or more other questions. An operation is performed based on results of the clustering of the input question with the one or more other questions.

Abstract: TTS is a well known technology for decades used for various applications from Artificial Call centers attendants to PC software that allows people with visual impairments or reading disabilities to listen to written works on a home computer. However to date TTS is not widely adopted for PC and Mobile users for daily reading tasks such as reading emails, reading pdf and word documents, reading through website content, and for reading books. The present invention offers new user experience for operating TTS for day to day usage. More specifically this invention describes a synchronization technique for following text being read by TTS engines and specific interfaces for touch pads, touch and multi touch screens. Nevertheless this invention also describes usage of other input methods such as touchpad, mouse, and keyboard.
