Abstract: A shared resource computing (SRC) system that provides a mechanism for creating a shared session among individual sessions is described. In an ad hoc peer model, a session is created by individual users. One individual session assumes an administrative session role and invites other user sessions to join the shared session. Local environments from the individual sessions are published and the resources of the individual sessions form linked device groups that allow the resources to be aggregated for the shared session.

Such tags may be used to effectively sort, organize, link, and search for images within large datasets of images. Additionally, the active image tagging may be configured to utilize a tagging game where multiple users manually tag images by playing a game on a computing device.

Abstract: In order to produce a set of medical findings based on image data which has been obtained by way of different imaging methods, a plurality of image viewer programs has hitherto been required. In at least one embodiment, a viewer device is to be provided, with which different image data can be viewed and with which it is simultaneously possible to produce a set of medical findings. According to at least one embodiment of the invention, a method is provided wherein a base page and at least one content page with display elements are selected and are loaded and activated by a program.

Abstract: The subject invention provides a unique interactive system and method that facilitate single-handed navigation and interaction with applications within a display space on any type of mobile computing device. The system and method include or employ scalable application tiles corresponding to applications, whereby the application tiles can provide or indicate the current state of the corresponding application. The state information provided in each tile can vary as well depending on the current size of the tile. The tiles can be arranged into a plurality of zones such that a user can view one particular zone at a time and obtain more context and information from the application tiles in that zone rather than working with all tiles and all zones at the same time. The view of the display space can be of the world or all application tiles, zone, or application. Panning and zooming among the zones, application tiles and/or views can be performed single-handedly using designated on or off screen controls.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer readable media are disclosed for a gesture recognizer system architecture. A recognizer engine is provided, which receives user motion data and provides that data to a plurality of filters. A filter corresponds to a gesture, that may then be tuned by an application receiving information from the gesture recognizer so that the specific parameters of the gesture—such as an arm acceleration for a throwing gesture—may be set on a per-application level, or multiple times within a single application. Each filter may output to an application using it a confidence level that the corresponding gesture occurred, as well as further details about the user motion data.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an air fan turbine positioned horizontally or vertically in close proximity to the exhaust fan system of air handler systems. These turbine units catch the exhausted air flow from the exhaust ports of these air handler units to drive the turbine blades which are attached to a generator. As the propellor blades spin, they generate electricity. Thus, the man made air flow known as exhaust from the air handler systems is used to produce electricity. This invention not only uses man made air flow, but also repositions the air turbine 90° from a horizontal position to a vertical position to receive wind air from the atmosphere. When the air handler unit is turned off, a signal is sent to mechanically move the air turbine to the vertical position to redirect itself to then catch natural wind airflow on both roof top and ground mounted units.

Each of the tiles is allocated to a distinct region on the activity screen, according to a specified layout. The layout may vary according to the number of tiles allocated in the activity screen, and in some examples a region of the activity screen is automatically subdivided to provide additional regions. The content displayed for each tile is selected, at least in part, based on the size of the allocated region, and consequently, of the tile. Content for each possible size of the tile can be pre-defined. Each of the tiles operates as an application entry point for its corresponding application, thus providing a means of access for applications concurrently executing on the device.

Abstract: A computing device includes an immersive environment module for facilitating simultaneous display of a plurality of applications on a display device without relying on system chrome. At least a first of the applications is displayed in a primary region of the display. Processing logic is configured to determine a size in at least one direction of content of a user-selected application as it is displayed on a non-primary region of the display device simultaneous with display of content of the first application on the primary region of the display device. Abstract: An automatic testing application is provided that can simulate a user interaction with a web application. The automatic testing application can determine that the web application has been completely displayed within a graphical user interface of a web browser using a consistent global page state. The automatic testing application can test that the web application has been correctly displayed by verifying a state of a visualization component of the web application using a communication component. Subsequently, the automatic testing application can transmit an event to the web application that can modify the state of the visualization component using the communication component.

A particular position on the display screen that is occupied by a particular one of the items of the group can be selected randomly.
