The text, tags, and other metadata can be used to search each managed application. Relevant emails, files, and notes can be displayed in a card generated by the secure bubble application.

Abstract: A display method of a display apparatus is provided. The method includes: displaying, on a touch display apparatus, a first window and a second window that overlap with each other, where the first window is smaller than the second window; displaying a first image on the first window, and displaying a second image on the second window, where the second image is an image captured by the camera module in real time; displaying the first image on the second window and displaying the second image on the first window according to the first touch instruction; and displaying the first image on the first window and displaying the second image on the second window according to the second touch instruction.

Abstract: Technologies for manipulating a graphical user interface (GUI) of a display of a computing device include a touch screen of the display capable of receiving user input via physical contact of the user's fingers. The computing device determines whether the user has initiated multi-finger input gesture from which and a hand rotation angle may be determined based on touch points corresponding to the physical contact between the user's fingers and the touch screen. Based on the hand rotation angle, the computing device may take an action on the GUI, such as rotate an orientation of the GUI and/or display a virtual keyboard on the GUI relative to the hand rotation angle and/or the touch points. Other embodiments are described herein and claimed.

Abstract: A content display method for a mobile terminal is disclosed. The mobile terminal includes at least two hierarchical structures each having at least two contents at a level. The content display method includes: displaying, in response to selection of a content, a window associated with the selected content; displaying, in response to input of a multi-window display request, windows associated with contents at the same level as the selected content together on a single screen; and rearranging, in response to input of a window movement request, the content windows by window movement to display the rearranged content windows together on a single screen. As a result, same-level contents or application windows in execution can be displayed together on a single screen according to a user request. Hence, the user can readily transition between contents or applications with enhanced user convenience.

Abstract: The disclosure herein describes a chat system for intelligent automatic switching between multiple chat windows. During operation, the system monitors activities occurring within the multiple chat windows and determines whether a window-switching operation is needed based on the monitored activities. In response to determining that the window-switching operation is needed, the system automatically performs the window-switching operation without the need for a user of the chat application to perform the window-switching operation manually.

Abstract: Provided is a display control apparatus including a detection unit configured to detect a user operation, and a window control unit configured to display a plurality of application windows on a screen, and control display of each application window based on the user operation detected by the detection unit. If it is determined that it is difficult to identify a first application window associated with a first application due to at least a portion of the first application window being hidden by a second application window, the window control unit is configured to control display of the first application window so that identification information for identifying the first application is visible to a user.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are described herein for transferring an application state between a web control rendered by a native application to native indicators provided by the native application. The web control may be embedded in the native application or may be accessed by the native application. In accordance with some concepts and technologies disclosed herein, an application state control transfers the application state from a web control to a native application. The transfer may occur as a result of a function request received at the native application.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media may be operable to facilitate a retrieval and display of network credentials. A predetermined input may be received at a client, wherein the predetermined input initiates a retrieval of network credentials such as network identifiers and corresponding passwords or passphrases. The client may aggregate retrieved network credentials associated with one or more networks that may be available to a user, and may output the aggregated credentials to a display.

Abstract: In a compositing window system, as a respective version of the window for an application is written into a window buffer, a corresponding set of per tile signatures indicative of the content of each respective tile in the window buffer is generated and stored. When an updated version of the window is stored into a window buffer, the set of signature values for the updated version is compared to the set of signature values for the previous version in the window buffer to determine which tiles' content has changed. The set of tiles found to have changed is used to generate a set of regions for a window compositor to write to a window in a display frame buffer to update the window in the display frame buffer to display the new version of the window.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are technologies that give a disproportionate amount of screen real estate (or container real estate) to one of a group of user interface (UI) subcontainers to which a user is giving his or her attention. To provide greater access and consolidation to frequently used items in the graphical user interface, a userbar is established which includes a plurality of item representations. To permit a greater number of items to reside in the userbar, a magnification function can be provided which magnifies items within the userbar when they are proximate the cursor associated with the graphical user interface.

Abstract: Some examples relate to facilitating multi-tasking in a computing environment. A focus area component defines a focus area within a display space—the focus area occupying a subset area of the display space area. A scaling component scales display objects as a function of proximity to the focus area, and a behavior modification component modifies respective behavior of the display objects as a function their location of the display space. Some implementations provide for interaction technique(s) and user interface(s) in connection with managing display objects on a display surface. Further, some examples define a central focus area, such that the display objects are displayed and behave as usual. Also included is a periphery outside the focus area where the display objects are reduced in size based on their location, getting smaller as the display objects near an edge of the display surface with many more objects visible.

The system also displays at least one of data and interactive content within the panes, the data and interactive content received from external sources. The system also changes the viewing sequence of the panes on demand and places less frequently viewed panes in a background area of the interface. The system also archives panes not viewed for a predetermined period of time and deletes panes not viewed for a predetermined period of time.

Abstract: An abbreviated user interface for instant messaging (or other type of communications occurring in a graphical user interface environment permitting concurrent running of multiple application) is provided. The abbreviated user interface is different from a related primary user interface and is presented when the primary user interface is instantiated, yet is not on top of a z-order of a graphical environment. The abbreviated user interface can be a light-weight one that permits a user to quickly read messages. In one embodiment, a user can create outgoing messages using the abbreviated user interface. Presentation of the abbreviated user interface can require a user action, such as hovering a pointer over a task bar element for a duration or pressing a hot-key combination. In one embodiment, presentation of an otherwise unread message within the abbreviated interface for a designated time can cause the message to be marked as read.

The system includes a detection module configured to detect a second workspace scrolling command. Displaying the second workspace comprises traversing the stack from the first workspace to the second workspace along the stacking axis. Portions of the anatomical object that become overlapped by the slide transition screens are displayed with dynamic modifications that reflect the impact of the medical conditions associated with the slide transition screens.

Abstract: A method for generating a multi-frame image rendering of a challenge-response test on a display is presented. The method begins by identifying a pattern with graphical elements, and a display region for rendering an entry object of the multi-frame image of the challenge-response test. Then a foreground sampling window having a non-patterned area defined by the entry object is defined. The foreground sampling window captures graphical elements of the pattern along a first path. In addition, a background sampling window that captures graphical elements of the pattern along a second path is defined. The foreground sampling window is overlaid on the background sampling window at the display region of the display, such that the entry object of the challenge-response test is discernable from the pattern during a period of time when multiple frames are rendered.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for inserting a digital advertisement into a window by a computer processor for display on a screen. First, an initial portion of the window containing only text is identified that is of sufficient size to accommodate the advertisement. Next the advertisement is inserted into the identified initial window portion behind the text so that the text is readable. Then, the color of the advertisement or of a portion of the text is subsequently adjusted so that the advertisement becomes more prominent. The text may contain text-related graphics and the advertisement may be placed as not to obstruct any such graphs. As a user scrolls the underlying content, the advertisement is then moved.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a multi-window application to a user over a network are provided. An exemplary method includes presenting a first frame to the, the first frame containing application logic. The method further includes presenting a second frame to the user, the second frame containing user interface logic. Steps in the method create a relationship between the first frame and the second frame allowing the user interface logic of the second frame to use the application logic contained in the first frame. When an indication is received that the first frame is to be closed, and an application-specific condition is true, the application logic is transferred from the first frame to the second frame using a command, while preserving the state of the second frame. The first frame is then closed.
