Abstract: A screen saver for a wireless terminal, such as a mobile telephone, calendar or the like. The screen saver derives information from the applications of the terminal and shows calendar items, to-do-items, mails/SMS'es/MMS'es, and other items to the user during the idle state of the terminal. The user may define which information is shown or not shown. New applications added may subscribe to the screen saver and there through show information on the screen saver.
Abstract: A method and system are provided for preventing the activation of a screen saver for locking user access to a computer while a user is near the computer. A controller capable of generating signals corresponding to an input device is connected to a user interface of a computer. The controller is connected to computer input devices (such as a keyboard or a mouse) and serves as a pass-through to the user interface for the input devices. The controller also includes a motion sensor for detecting a user's activity within a predetermined perimeter of the computer. The controller then determines if the user activity is non-computer activity by determining if input signals are being received from one of the computer input devices. If input signals are not being received from the computer input devices, the controller generates a pseudo user input corresponding to a command from a computer input device to prevent the screen saver from activating.
Abstract: A method of enabling the display of a picture file on a cellular telephone is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of enabling access to the picture file displayed on a cellular telephone from a location remote from the cellular telephone; entering information related to the picture file from the remote location; and providing the information to the cellular telephone.

Abstract: Audiovisual images from independent providers on the Internet are exhibited as part of an updating, shared, collaboratively-produced multimedia exhibition system. Each individual user can choose to include or exclude certain content by personalizing his collection of images, by optionally rating each picture. Groups of users can share their collections amongst themselves. Content providers on the internet can allow visitors to include their audivisual information by adding a single button. The server keeps profile information for each user and for the groups to which the user belongs.
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus (100) and method (800) for an electronic device having a device display for graphically providing the user with a message (104) while the electronic device is in a screen saver mode displaying a screen saver screen (100). The message is a simplified message derived from an associated message source (200) where more detail (202) is available. The message is replaced with a detailed message upon reaching a predetermined condition.
Abstract: An image reproducing apparatus according to this invention is an apparatus which has a function of a screen saver and reproduce an image on the basis of the image data read out from a DVD 600, and includes: a first field memory 410 capable of storing image data corresponding to a plurality of images; a second field memory 420 which previously stores an image data of an opening image; an input unit 310 for selectively inputting a screen saver image from reproduced images; and a screen saver control unit 111 which stores the image data of the pertinent image in the first field memory 410 whenever the screen saver image is selectively inputted through the input unit.
