Including Plural Sensors Or Sensor Responsive To Plural Conditions Patents (Class 72/20.4)
  • Patent number: 10850468
Abstract: A high-speed hydraulic forging press is disclosed. The high-speed hydraulic forging press includes a forging hammer, a movable beam, a main hydraulic cylinder, a single-rod elevation hydraulic cylinder, a plurality of main hydraulic pumps, a high-pressure energy accumulator, an intermediate-pressure energy accumulator, an oil tank, a programmable logic controller and a valve-regulation system. During a rolling process, when a rolling resistance applied to the forging hammer increases to cause pressure in the main hydraulic cylinder to reach a predetermined value, the programmable logic controller controls the valve-regulation system so that the high-pressure energy accumulator stops supplying the hydraulic oil to the main hydraulic cylinder, and that the hydraulic oil in the main hydraulic cylinder is supplied by at least one of the plurality of main hydraulic pumps.

  • Patent number: 8234897
Abstract: A press-forming device has a punch (2), a die (7) which relatively moves with respect to the punch (2), a strain amount measuring means (8) which is provided inside a member to be controlled and measures a strain amount of the aforesaid member to be controlled which occurs in accordance with press-forming, when at least one of the punch (2) and the die (7) is made the aforesaid member to be controlled, and a strain amount control means (9) which is provided in the aforesaid member to be controlled and controls the strain amount of the aforesaid member to be controlled which occurs in accordance with press-forming. The strain amount control means (9) controls a drive amount of the aforesaid member to be controlled so that the strain amount measured by the strain amount measuring means (8) is in a predetermined range during forming. Thereby, reduction in a surface strain, improvement in shape fixability or the like of a press formed product can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20100206033
Abstract: A driving device driving motors of rolling rolls that corrects asymmetry between top and bottom roll driving systems of a twin-drive rolling mill in which top and bottom rolling rolls are driven by upper and lower motors, respectively, so that torques propagate to the top and bottom rolling rolls simultaneously. To this end, an upper/lower axis system imbalance correction section that corrects inequalities of torques propagating to the top and bottom rolling rolls is provided in either one or both of an upper motor control section that controls the upper motor and a lower motor control section that controls the lower motor in a driving device of motors for rolling rolls used in a rolling mill. The top and bottom rolling rolls are driven by the upper motor and the lower motor, respectively, and one of the upper motor and the lower motor is located on a rolled material. Thus, torques propagate to the top and bottom rolling rolls simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 7216519
Abstract: A device for determining the quality of a part includes a sensor for detecting a strain on a selected portion of a part forming machine. A controller utilizes the detected amount of strain to make a determination regarding the quality of a corresponding part. In one example, the sensor detects a compressive or tensile strain on a machine frame when the sensor is aligned to detect a strain parallel to a direction of a force applied during the part formation process. The controller uses one or more characteristics of the sensor output and determines whether the detected amount of strain is within an acceptable range. In one example, monitoring the strain during the formation of a plurality of acceptable parts provides information for determining the acceptable range. The disclosed arrangements allow for making part quality determinations without requiring a sensor to be “in line” with the load.

  • Patent number: 6474227
Abstract: With a method of controlling synchronous drive of a plurality of pressing machines, each of the pressing machines has a motor, a drive shaft to which a torque of a flywheel driven by the motor is transmitted through a clutch and a slide driven by the drive shaft so that a rotational position of the drive shaft of each of the pressing machines is synchronous each other. The method has a step of detecting actual velocity information of the motor and a step of detecting actual rotational-position information of the drive shaft. The detected actual rotational-position information is compared with the reference rotational-position information from a reference rotational position information generating section. Based on the result of the comparison, the reference velocity information from a reference velocity information generating section is compensated into characteristic reference velocity information of each of the pressing machines.

  • Patent number: 6456898
Abstract: A press monitoring and control system includes a press machine, a press configuration module and a press controller. The press machine has a lower die coupled to an upper die, wherein the lower die includes a top surface supporting a strip of material to be formed into a part after a stripper plate coupled to the upper die contacts the strip of material. The press configuration module includes an input module that processes a set of input data corresponding to a particular job and generates a data signal corresponding to the set of input data. The press controller is coupled to the press machine and the press configuration module. The controller processes the data signal, compares the data signal to a set of parameters corresponding to the particular job, and generates at least one servo signal to adjust at least one servo in response to the data signal.
