  • Patent number: 10022775
Abstract: A device and a method for forming hollow cylindrical bodies. The device has a plurality of stations. A tool is allocated to each station. The tools are arranged on a common carrier. The tool can be moved between two reversing positions via a main drive. This reciprocating movement is executed intermittently. One of the two reversing positions forms a rest position in which the tool carrier stops in a rest phase. While the tool carrier stops in a rest position in the rest phase, a transport device transports the bodies from one station to the respective next station.

  • Patent number: 7428837
Abstract: A rotating speed of a main motor (61) of a second press (3) is regulated so that an angular difference between a press angle of a first press (2) and a press angle of a second press (3) is constant. Further, when the work is carried-out from the first press (2), a work transportation device (10) is controlled based on a press angle of the first press (2). When the work is carried-in into the second press (3), the work transportation device (10) is controlled based on a press angle of the second press (3). Further, when the work is transported, the work transportation device 10 is controlled based on a signal from a transportation device control section (31) for controlling the work transportation device (10). • Patent number: 7353677
Abstract: Apparatus and a method for establishing setup parameters for use in a machine. In one embodiment a tooling component is removably mountable to a host machine. The tooling component includes a memory that contains information defining setup parameters for the host machine for use with the tooling component. A controller associated with the host machine reads the information from the memory and configures the host machine based on the information read from the memory. In another embodiment, an information carrying tag, is associated with the tooling component. The information carrying tag is read and the identifying information obtained from the tag is used by a controller to select a set of setup parameters from one or more sets of setup parameters stored in a storage device accessible by the controller. A mechanism is provided to precisely position the adapter on the base plate for the host machine to minimize variations in production using the setup parameters derived from the stored information.

  • Patent number: 6530257
Abstract: In order to easily, rapidly and precisely carry out a setting work after exchange of a pressuring unit, a shank module is provided that is capable of integrally exchanging a shank of a pressing unit. The shank module is configured to removably link a main body and a ram. By adopting the universal pressing unit, adjustment after exchange of the pressing unit becomes considerably easier. Additionally, in carrying out a universal design of a terminal-feeding mechanism, improved workability is implemented by linking the setting of press conditions with the feed conditions of a terminal belt. In order to accomplish this goal, an anvil unit of a press mechanism is configured to be detachable from a main body base. Furthermore, a positioning mechanism is provided on the anvil unit. The positioning mechanism positions the setting position of moving elements of a driving mechanism of a terminal-feeding mechanism corresponding to the terminal belt.
