Abstract: A fence clip installation tool includes a pair of handles pivotally joined to respective jaws pivotally maintained between two plates to enable the jaws to counter-rotate in unison. Clips of a compatible design may then be nested between the jaws and compressed or deformed about objects upon closure of the handles.

Abstract: A contact magazine loader for guiding the insertion of individual electrical contacts into a crimping section of a crimping tool. A magazine is adapted to be placed in removable and rotatable engagement with a hand-held crimping tool. The magazine is approximately cylindrical, has a plurality of channels evenly dispersed around the radial periphery of the magazine, and is preloadable with electrical contacts. Each preloaded electrical contact is positioned within an individual insert casing. Each insert casing is adapted to being linearly slideably received into one of the channels. As a shuttle assembly is moved into compressed configuration, an insert casing guides the preloaded electrical contact into the crimping section of the hand-held crimper. A trigger assembly allows a user, with a single movement, to cause the shuttle assembly to return to its released configuration, and to rotate the magazine to axially align a subsequent casing with the crimping section of the hand held crimper.
Abstract: A tool for fastening fencing material to a post with a staple. The tool includes a base plate; first and second handles; first and second crimping arms, and a cam operatively engaged with the first handle. A slide is operatively engaged with the cam. The first and second handles and the first and second crimping arms are pivotally interconnected and attached to the base plate so that when the first and second handles are pivoted towards one another from an open position, the cam advances the slide, which advances the staple so that the crimping arms may crimp the staple to the fence post. A method for attaching the staple to a fence post is also described and claimed. An inventive staple is also disclosed.

Abstract: A closure tool (10, 40) for closing heavy-duty clips (11) as used for example in the building trade and in agriculture has a body (13), a pair of handles (14) mounted on the body (13) on pivots (15) and a pair of anvils (18, 20) movable relative to each other from a spaced position to closure position in response to relative movement of the handles (14) and the body (13). A moving member (17) is engaged by the handles (14) and is movable therewith, and one of the anvils (18) is connected to and movable with the moving member (17). The handles (14) may have spigots (44) engaged in a slot (43) in a cylindrical moving member (17) in a barrel part (41) of the body (13), or each handle (14) may have a quadrant shaped first gear engaging a rack second gear moving member slidably mounted in the body.
