Including Cam Patents (Class 72/409.09)
  • Patent number: 11103910
Abstract: A conduit offset bender preferably includes an upper die, a lower die, a first guide plate, a second guide plate, a force transfer plate, two compression springs and an actuation device. The upper die includes an upper die base, a first pair of lugs, a second pair of lugs, a first boss flange and a second boss flange. The lower die includes a lower die base, two first lower boss flanges and two second lower boss flanges. Larger and smaller offset grooves are formed in the upper and lower dies. The two compression springs are retained in spring counterbores formed in the upper and lower boss flanges. A bottom of the first and second guide plates are attached to the lower die base. The actuation device includes a first handle plate, a second handle plate, a pressure roller, a cam roller, a pivot pin and a retention pin.

  • Patent number: 8800134
Abstract: The present invention relates to a positioning device for positioning an element to be crimped in a crimping tool, for example a wire end sleeve or an electrical connecting plug. The invention further relates to a crimping tool for crimping a connecting element to be situated in a pressing axis. To allow the element that will be crimped to be brought into the pressing axis, the positioning device has a retaining unit for retaining, about its periphery, the element that will be crimped. The retaining unit has a retaining opening which encompasses the pressing axis coaxially. The positioning device further permits the positioning of the element that will be crimped within the pressing axis, in order, in particular, to ensure the necessary insertion depth of the element to be crimped in the crimping tool. For this purpose, the positioning device of the invention has an axial stop, with which the position in the pressing axis of the element to be crimped can be defined.

  • Patent number: 8196288
Abstract: A double crimping tool for fastening an electrical conductor with insulation to a contact element, which includes a front crimping unit with a front drive cam plate and front crimping stamps for forming a front press section in the region of the stripped end of the conductor; and a rear crimping unit with a rear drive cam plate and rear crimping stamps for forming a rear press section in the region of the insulation of the conductor. The crimping stamps are displaced by rotation of the drive cam plates. By levers the two drive cam plates are connected to a shared force introduction element such that during the pressing procedure at first optionally the front or the rear drive cam plate is rotated by a predefined initial pressing angle while the other drive cam plate is made to rotate only after the first drive cam plate has attained the initial pressing angle.

  • Publication number: 20100077827
Abstract: An device for crimping together adjacent edge portions of two building panels including a frame supporting a rotatable shaft protruding therethrough, a first crimping member attached to the frame, a gear train supported by the frame coupled to the rotatable shaft such that a rotation of the rotatable shaft imparts rotary motion to the gear train, a drive mechanism supported by the frame and rotatably coupled to the gear train, and a second crimping member supported by the frame and coupled to the drive mechanism, wherein the second crimping member is configured to move toward and then away from the first crimping member in a repeating, reciprocating motion under influence of the drive mechanism while rotation of the rotatable shaft is maintained, such that the second crimping member is configured to bend an edge portion of a first building panel over an edge portion of a second building panel.
