Abstract: An assembly of dies for producing W-shaped flanges of a heat-insulating protective component and a method of producing the same by using the assembly of dies. The assembly of dies comprises a terrace-forming die and a bending die. The method comprises only two procedures, namely, stamping a composite base plate into a terraced composite base plate by using a terrace-forming die, and bending and compressing the two terraced sides of the terraced composite base plate by using a bending die so that each of the two terraced sides forms a W-shaped flange.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for manufacturing a truss structure using multi-point pins, a method of manufacturing a truss structure using the apparatus, a truss core sandwich panel having the truss structure, and a method of manufacturing the truss core sandwich panel. The apparatus includes a metal plate, clamps, an upper die and a lower die. The clamps hold the metal plate. The upper die has upper multi-point pins which press the metal plate downwards. The lower die has lower multi-point pins which press the metal plate upwards. The metal plate has first and second points that respectively correspond to the upper and lower multi-point pins. The first points are extended downwards by the upper multi-point pins, and the second points are extended upwards by the lower multi-point pins. Thereby, many symmetrical sides are formed in the truss structure, thus increasing the stability of the truss structure.

Abstract: A stamping apparatus includes a lower die defining a cavity, with a land portion surrounding the cavity. A movable upper die includes a drawing punch that corresponds to the cavity. A binder movable towards the land portion of the lower die engages an edge portion of the blank, wherein the land portion of the lower die and the movable binder each include a plurality of beads that crimp the edge portion of the blank when the movable binder engages the edge portion of the blank. The plurality of beads are oriented orthogonal to a terminal edge of the edge portion. By orienting the plurality of beads in this manner, the crimped edge portion of the blank is allowed to move inboard towards the cavity when the blank is engaged by the drawing punch before being constrained by a throat portion defined by the binder and the lower die.

The degree to which each segment of the wire receiving portion of the connector is compressed may be defined as a ratio encompassing a given range of values designed to optimize the selective corrosion effect.
