To Move Tool Face Patents (Class 72/482.4)
  • Patent number: 9062751
Abstract: A method of connecting plates in a torque converter including: forming a head of a rivet with an end surface that is curved or forms multiple planes; forming a portion of an interior surface of the cover to protrude or indent with respect to a surrounding portion of the interior surface; disposing the body of the rivet in respective holes in respective portions of the plates; and displacing the plates such that the end surface of the rivet head contacts the portion of the interior surface, the respective portions of the first and second plates are at an acute angle with respect to the surrounding portion of the interior surface, and a longitudinal axis of the rivet is at an acute angle with respect to a line orthogonal to the surrounding portion of the interior surface.

  • Patent number: 7640776
Abstract: Expanded metal machine includes a fixed blade, a displaceable blade, displaceable in a vertical and a transverse direction and which has a cutting edge with cutting projections interspaced in the transverse direction. Conveying device for conveying a flat material in a direction of conveyance between the blades. Ram for effecting a periodic vertical movement of displaceable blade, and a transverse displacing device for effecting a transverse displacement of displaceable blade that is synchronized with reciprocating motion. To enable a precise fine adjustment of the cutting gap, fixed blade is held in a fixed one-piece or multiple piece blade holding fixture vertically adjustable by a depth of cut adjusting device for adjusting a vertical depth of cut between the blades. Depth of cut adjusting device has at least two oppositely tapering wedges, displaceable in a coupled manner and having parallel sloped surfaces held in blade holding fixture in a sliding manner.

  • Patent number: 7395685
Abstract: A thin walled body is deformed in a process in which the body is gripped securely in a holding station and, whilst gripped in the holding station, tooling engages to deform the peripheral wall of the body at a predetermined wall zone. The tooling is provided at a tooling station which is adjacent the holding station during deformation. The predetermined wall zone is co-aligned with the tooling by rotation of the body about an axis prior to securing at the holding station.

  • Patent number: 7134303
Abstract: A device (1) for socket-deforming an end of a tube, for example a tube of a heat exchanger, and for cutting that tube to a desired length, the cutting taking place at the end to be deformed. The The device (1) comprises a deformation and cutting member (5) to be inserted into the tube to be worked, the member (5) comprising deforming means (15) arranged to at least locally modify the inner diameter of the deformation and cutting member (5) by varying its perimetral dimensions, said deforming means (15) being arranged to cooperate, for effecting said dimensional variation, with actuator means (40) with a movable support (12), the deforming elements carrying cutting elements (31) for separating an end tube portion by acting from the inside of the tube without chip removal, in order to obtain a deformed tube of the required length.

  • Patent number: 6499330
Abstract: A displacement indicator device 10 for a press brake compensator 16 includes a first recess 20 in a lower wall of a preselected portion or a die holder member 14 of the press brake compensator 16, an indicator rod 18 snugly inserted into the first recess 20, a second recess 34 in a side wall 36 of a preselected portion of a wedge portion 38 of the press brake compensator 16, and a lifting cam 40 snugly inserted into the second recess 34. The indicator rod 18 is displaced by the movement of the preselected portion of the wedge portion 38. The indicator rod 18 displacement corresponds to the vertical displacement of the die holder member 14. An indicating scale 32 discloses the amount of displacement of the preselected portion of the die holder member 14 by aligning a reference mark 28 on the indicator rod 18 with a horizontal line and corresponding number on the indicating scale 32.
