Multiple Acting Patents (Class 74/134)
  • Patent number: 9086103
Abstract: A rotation transmission device includes coaxial input and output shafts (1 and 2), a pair of opposed bevel gears (3 and 4) rotatably mounted around the input shaft (1), and an intermediate bevel gear (5) meshing with the opposed bevel gears (3 and 4). The output shaft (2) and one of the opposed bevel gears (3) are rotationally fixed to each other. A first one-way clutch (6) is provided through which the rotation of the input shaft (1) is transmitted to the one of the opposed bevel gears (3). A second one-way clutch (7) is provided through which the rotation of the input shaft (1) in the reverse direction is transmitted to the other of the opposed bevel gears (4). Thus, the output shaft (2) can be rotated in the normal direction irrespective of whether the input shaft (1) is rotated in the normal direction or in the reverse direction.

  • Patent number: 7896377
Abstract: A multi-speed system configured to increase the speed or decrease the pedaling effort of a lever propelled bicycle. The multi-speed system is composed of a manual control device 70, mounted on the frame close to the rider's hand placement on the handle bars, and other connected components configured to change wheel rotation per pedal. It has the ability to transfer manual force to the transmission means to change propulsion speed and effort. Depressing a control lever 2 down will allow the rider to increase in speed and lifting the control lever 2 up would allow the rider to decrease pedaling effort.

  • Publication number: 20030060316
Abstract: An adjustable bicycle chain guide device includes a plate mounted to a crank axle and the plate has two protrusions. Two rollers each have an extension and the two extensions are respectively connected to the two protrusions. Each of the extensions has two holes defined therethrough and each of the protrusions has two rows of positioning holes so that the positions of the rollers are adjusted on the protrusions by engaging bolts with different positioning holes.

  • Patent number: 4802387
Abstract: A transmission is provided which has unidirectional output rotation in response to multidirectional input rotation. A reversing member is provided for changing the direction of rotation of the output member. A first mechansim rotates the output member in a first direction in response to a first direction of rotation of the input member, and this first mechanism does not drive the output member in response to a second direction of rotation of the input member. A second mechanism rotates said output member in the first direction in response to the second direction of rotation of the input member, and this mechanism does not drive the output member in response to the first direction of rotation of the input member. The axis of rotation of the input member and the axis of rotation of the output member are coaxial.
