    Abstract: A step-by-step ratchet mechanism has a mount, a hand lever carried on the mount and pivotable about an axis, and a ratchet provided with a toothed set wheel and with an output shaft rotatable about an axis of the ratchet in the mount. Two catches are provided, which a) are each hinged on the hand lever and are pivotal around an axis of the catch, b) are each provided with a toothed quadrant with several teeth that cooperates with the set wheel, c) have a supporting flank that neighbors an abutment of the mount and d) are provided with a spring pretensioning the two supporting flanks towards the abutment. Two mean position levers are carried on the mount and are each pivotal about an axis of the mean position levers, one mean position lever being assigned to each catch. The mean position levers have a stop flank.

    Abstract: An integrated drive arrangement for a vehicle propulsion system for transmitting vehicle drive torque and for independently driving external implements. The drive arrangement includes a power input shaft having a number of axially spaced drive gears and being driven by a prime mover. The pump shaft of a variable displacement pump is drivingly connected with one of the drive gears of the power input shaft. A fixed displacement motor is connected in closed circuit to the variable displacement pump. A number of drive pinions are spaced axially along an intermediate shaft which is spaced from the power input shaft and are connected to the intermediate shaft and the power input shaft by an electromagnetic clutch. First and second power take-off shafts are drivingly connected with the intermediate shaft such that the power input shaft imparts independent rotation to the power take-off shafts and the pump shaft.

    Abstract: A speed change lever apparatus for use in a bicycle. The apparatus has a winding member for winding up a speed change control cable and a cable-pulling lever operable to pull the cable by causing the winding member to pivot only in a cable winding direction. The cable-pulling lever returns to its home position after completion of speed change operation. The improved apparatus includes a position maintaining mechanism for stepwisely maintaining a position of the winding member and a release lever operable to release the position maintaining mechanism. The release lever also returns to its home position after completion of release operation. At the respective home positions, the cable-pulling lever and the release lever are operable in substantially same directions to enable a cyclist to disregard the direction of lever operations. Further, the home positions of the levers are disposed at different yet adjacent locations relative to a direction normal to the lever operating directions.

    Abstract: An adaptor plate assembly for use in interfacing a transmission gear housing having a standard bolt/hole pattern with a power takeoff unit having a non-standard bolt/hole pattern is disclosed. The adaptor plate has passageways in alignment with standard apertures in the gear housing and with openings in the power takeoff unit. Guide and support fasteners having guide heads are initially positioned in ones of the passageways of the adaptor plate and in the housing apertures. The power takeoff unit is initially guided and supported by the guide heads. Securement fasteners are then used to complete the connection of the power takeoff unit to the adaptor plate and the gear housing.

When changing to a garbage pressing operation in the stationary state of the vehicle, the variable displacement pump (18) is shifted by a change-over valve (28) to drive the pressing cylinder of the accessory hydraulic power system (30).
