Abstract: Means for displacing elements, such as the rollers of printing machines, located between the upright frames of a pedestal machine. A rotatable drive shaft is supported in each of the frames parallel to the direction in which the displacement is to proceed, and is drive connected to the said elements. Adjusting shafts having hand wheels attached to their free ends and coupled to the drive shafts extend, when in working position, into the space between the upright frames. In rest position, they are displaceable out of said space, which is thereby cleared for access to the equipment.

Abstract: A detachable handle assembly is provided for a powered garden tool, such as a hedge trimmer. The handle assembly according to the present invention includes an elongated first member having a hand grip formed at one axial end. A clamp assembly is connected to the other axial end of the elongated member and detachably, clampingly receives the garden tool so that the garden tool can be moved by means of the elongated handle member. In addition, the clamp assembly is adjustably coupled to both the garden tool and the elongated handle member such that both the angle and pitch of the garden tool relative to the elongated handle member can be infinitely variably adjusted.
Abstract: A substitute toggle switch cover plate has an elongated opening within which is reciprocatively captured an actuating member having a recessed carrier portion at the inside adapted to loosely enclose the control lever of an electrical toggle switch, and a slide knob at the outside for moving the carrier member together with the toggle switch lever between "on" and "off" positions.
Abstract: A cable hauling apparatus comprising clamp jaws that are oppositely movable by means of a pivotable hand lever is provided with two hand grips associated with the hand lever. One of the two hand grips is located on one side of the apparatus and the other hand grip is located on the opposite side of the apparatus.
Abstract: A connecting bar is provided for extending between the combined rudder and wheel brake controlling pedals of an aircraft and includes a centrally disposed rearwardly and upwardly inclined control arm or handle portion. The opposite ends of the bar are connected to the associated combined rudder and wheel brake controlling pedals in a manner enabling lateral deflection of the upper end of the control arm or handle portion to actuate the rudder controlling movement of the corresponding pedal, upward displacement of the control arm or handle portion to effect wheel brake application movement of both rudder pedals, and simultaneous upward and lateral deflection of the control arm or handle portion to effect rudder actuation and wheel brake application movement of the corresponding rudder pedal.
Abstract: An extension attachment device for power tools, such as an explosive-actuated riveter, in which the power tool can be activated remotely by means of an operator applying force in only a single direction. The cradle on the extension attachment device for removably holding a tool is constructed and arranged to accommodate a variety of power tools in order to perform work in locations normally accessible only by ladder.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an auxiliary handle adapted to be removably attached to a rotatable part of an outboard motor steering handle for rotation of the steering handle part to control outboard motor engine operation and for lateral swinging movement of the steering handle to control outboard motor steering operation. The auxiliary handle comprises an attachment section adapted to be removably fixedly connected to the steering handle part for common rotation and lateral movement, together with an extension section, and a linkage connecting the extension section to the attachment section for effecting common rotary movement of the attachment section in response to rotation of the extension section, for effecting common lateral movement of the attachment section in response to lateral movement of the extension section, and for permitting movement of the extension section relative to the attachment section in response to application to the extension section of a force above a predetermined amount.
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for extending the reach of a portable chain saw for the purpose of cutting tree limbs and branches which would otherwise be inaccessable to the operator of the saw. An elongated post which can be held in the hands is equipped with means for securing a chain saw thereto at the front end. A pivotable lever is also attached to the front end of the post for contacting and depressing the power trigger on the chain saw. A finger operated control trigger is located at the rear end of the post, and means are provided for connecting the pivotable lever and the control trigger so that the lever is pivoted and the power trigger of the saw is thus depressed by the lever when the control trigger is operated.
