Abstract: A system for preventing the accumulation of excess lubrication in the form of lubricant lines on magnetic media disks for hard disk drives uses a mandrel design that produces negligible surface waves when the disks are dipped in lubricant baths. The mandrel has inverted tear drop shaped supports for the disks. The supports are smaller in overall size than an inner diameter hole formed in the disks and diminish the formation of waves in the lubricant bath.
Abstract: A low pressure steam jet fabric finisher (10) for steam setting of dyes on fabric during a steaming cycle, having a substantially cuboid housing (12) which defines a water reservoir (70) with a heating element (72) and a cylindrical steaming chamber (88). Steam from heated water rises into the steaming core (80) having an inlet (84) in fluid communication with the water reservoir (70) and thereafter into the steaming chamber (88) through a plurality of holes in the steaming core (80). Dyed fabric is rolled onto a helical coil spring (90) which is inserted over the steaming core (80) and placed in the steaming chamber (88) for dye setting during a steaming cycle.
Abstract: A low ratio yarn treatment apparatus for dyeing yarn packages mounted on perforated spindles. A first vessel is provided for holding a first spindle-mounted array of yarn packages to be treated and a second vessel for holding a second spindle-mounted array of yarn packages to be treated. A first conduit is provided in liquor flow communication with the first vessel and the second vessel for permitting treatment liquor to flow therebetween and a second conduit is provided for being connected in liquid flow communication with perforated spindles positioned in the first vessel and with perforated spindles positioned in the second vessel for permitting treatment liquor to flow between the perforated spindles in the first vessel and the perforated spindles in the second vessel.
