Secondly, rinse water that is recovered in the storage tank is reused in a subsequent wash cycle to reduce the total amount of fresh water needed to complete a full cycle of the washing machine through its wash and rinse cycles.

The water resumes recirculation until it again exceeds the chose turbidity threshold and the water in the system is again displaced by fresh water.
