Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide fibre material from an aqueous liquor with dyes, in the presence of an alkali metal salt or an ammonium salt and in the presence of an assistant, which process comprises dyeing said fibre material with at least one sulfonated 1:1 metal complex dye or with a mixture containing at least one sulfonated 1:1 metal complex dye and at least one sulfonated metal-free dye, in the presence of 10 to 45 percent by weight of an alkali fluorosilicate or ammonium fluorosilicate or a mixture thereof, based on the amount of the 1:1 metal complex dye employed, and in the presence of an assistant at a pH value of 3 to 5.The process of the invention is suitable for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide materials to give non-skittery and level dyeings of good fastness properties.
Abstract: Liquid formulations of disperse dyestuffs for dyeing hydrophobic synthetic fiber materials or mixtures of synthetic fiber materials with cellulose fiber material or wool contain from 0.1 to 10% by weight of pulverulent highly disperse inorganic oxides or silicates or mixtures of both said oxides and silicates having a specific surface area (BET) of 20 to 800 m.sup.2 /g.

Abstract: A process for preparing pigment dyes comprising reducing a colloidal dispersion of an impure dye to form a solution of the leucobase, introducing into this solution a finely divided substrate and, by adding an oxidizing agent, oxidizing the leucobase to form the vat dye, which thereby precipitates and deposits on the substrate.

Abstract: The preparation of dye-silane compositions are disclosed. A dye-silane compound is formed in which the dye is covalently bonded to a cyano silane compound. These dye-silane polymer compositions have particular utility as dye adduct reactants in the preparation of dye containing polysiloxanes.
Abstract: A preparation of dye-containing gas permeable silicon polymer and resin compositions are disclosed. Homopolymers and/or co-polymers of polysiloxane are formed in which a photoactive center substituent containing a dye is covalently bonded to the matrix structure thereby rendering the dye non-diffusible. These dye-silicone polymer compositions have particular utility in gas sensing fiber optics devices.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide fibre material levelly from an aqueous liquor, with 1:1 metal complex dyes which contain sulfo groups, in the presence of an alkali metal salt or an ammonium salt and optionally in the presence of an assistant, which comprises carrying out dyeing in the presence of an alkali metal fluoride or ammonium fluoride, of an alkali metal fluorosilicate or ammonium fluorosilicate, or of an alkali metal fluoroborate or ammonium fluoroborate, at a pH in the range from 3 to 7.The process of this invention is suitable for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide material in level shades of good fastness properties.
Abstract: Coloring compositions comprising an aqueous paste or dispersion of a filler which has been dyed with a water-soluble polycationic dyestuff, preferably together with a binding agent, are used in the coating of paper and the fixing, dyeing and printing of non-woven fabrics, including tissue paper.
Abstract: The invention relates to an improvement in certain processes for continuously dyeing polyamide carpets whereby stain resistance is imparted to the carpets during the dyeing process. The improvement involves adding an alkali metal silicate (e.g. sodium meta silicate) and a sulfonated phenol-formaldehyde condensation product to the dye liquor used in the dyeing process. If either the silicate or condensation product is omitted from the liquor, the improvement is not achieved. The improvement provides a convenient and economical means for providing stain resistant polyamide carpets.
Abstract: There are described a new class of organic dyes containing silane groups, the composite pigments obtainable therefrom by associating them with a substrate (SiO.sub.2, TiO.sub.2, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3), and the processes for preparing same. The silane organic dyes have the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein all substituents are defined later. The silane dyes (I) are utilized per se for dyeing natural fibres, such as wool, and man-made fibres, such as the polyamide, polyester, polyacrylic fibres and the like, while the composite pigments prepared from said dyes by association with an inorganic substrate are employed in paints, air enamels and stoving enamels, in the pigmentation of plastics, in the inks, in the printing of textiles etc.
