    Abstract: An automatic nut screwing device includes a positioning mold plate, a screw shaft, driving gear elements having driving gears, and transmission screwing elements having transmission screw gear units, bolt heads and bolt bodies. The transmission screw gear unit engages an upper out surface of the bolt head. The bolt head of each transmission screw element is fixed with the positioning mold plate. The shaft engaging portion engages with the transmission screw gear unit. The transmission screw gear unit engages with the driving gears such that the transmission screw gear unit is driven to rotate by the shaft engaging portion. A nut socket placing element has nut sockets when the screw shaft is axially rotated to enable the shaft engaging portion of the screw shaft to drive the transmission screw elements, thereby successively rotating elements that result in screw body being rotated to screw with the nut.

    Abstract: A fastening device includes a rotational drive portion that rotationally drives a socket, an advance/retract drive portion that causes this socket to advance or retract along a rotational axis thereof, a magazine that retains a plurality of heads that retain bolts, and a switching portion that moves this magazine to selectively position one of a plurality of heads ahead and on the rotational axis of the socket. One of the heads is selected and positioned on the rotational axis of the socket by the switching portion, then the socket is advanced by the advance/retract drive portion and the head thus selected is retained by the socket, then the socket is advanced further by the advance/retract drive portion and the head to detach is detached from the magazine, and then the head is rotated by driving the rotational drive portion, thereby fastening a bolt retained in the head.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for connecting underwater conduits and more specifically, to a method and apparatus which is capable of performing the diverless connection of underwater flowlines and connection of these flowlines to underwater structures such as flowline bases, xmas trees, and templates. The connection of underwater conduits is facilitated by the use of a remotely operated vehicle and connection apparatus both being launchable and recoverable by a support vessel. The connection apparatus adapted to mount on at least one of the underwater conduits and the connection apparatus allowing for docking of the remotely controlled vehicle which then captures and draws a second conduit to form a continuous flowline. Then a connection apparatus is clamped upon the conduits. The apparatus then bolts the conduits together.
