  • Patent number: 7036399
Abstract: A ratchet screwdriver having a base assembly including a handle and an insert, and having a cap rotatable on the base assembly, and there is pawl mechanism which is controlled by the cap. There is an intervening member in the form of a detent to serve as a stop for restricting the axial movement of the cap relative to the base assembly, so the cap cannot be removed from the base assembly until the detent is released. The detent, or other parts of the screwdriver, can serve as a rotation stop for the cap which has selective positions for setting the ratcheting position of the screwdriver.

Abstract: A wrench comprises a box end having a compartment and a cavity, a ratchet wheel rotatably mounted in the compartment, and a pawl mounted in the cavity for engaging with the ratchet wheel. An inner periphery defining the compartment of the box end allows universal movement of the ratchet wheel. Retaining edges are formed on an outer periphery of the ratchet wheel for engaging with the pawl to thereby prevent disengagement of the ratchet wheel from the compartment of the box end.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a T-handle ratchet wrench which includes a connection part located in the center of a main bar, while two flanks make up a handgrip. A driver extension goes through the connection part and a ratchet set can be assembled right inside the connection part. Meanwhile, a non-circular driver head or female part at the other end can attach onto various size sockets, thereby completing a simple T-handle ratchet wrench. In addition, the ratchet wrench has telescopic bars attached to the sides of the handgrip that can extend the length of the handgrip, which makes it easier for one to handle.

Abstract: The invention relates to a T-handle ratchet wrench including a lateral bar and a ratchet set. The lateral bar has a hollow connection part located in the center of the lateral bar and used for installing the ratchet set. Two flanks of the lateral bar make up a handgrip, respectively. The top of ratchet set is provided with a rotation button while a vertical bar extends downwardly from the rotation button. At least one of the handgrips includes a pivotal ear with a through hole, and the pivotal ear can be fitted into an insertion slot with a through hole at the free end of the lateral bar. A pivotal pin then passes through the through hole in the pivotal ear and the through hole in the insertion slot. This permits a pivotal movement of the handgrip on the pivotal pin. Accordingly, this configuration will considerably minimize the occupied space in packing, transport, storage and carrying. Particularly, the operators can more easily apply his force on the driver under special operation environments.

Abstract: Ratchet socket for fitting onto a screwed member. The ratchet socket is drivable by a tool to wrench the screwed member. The ratchet socket includes: a cylindrical main body formed with at least one internal circular hole and at least one through hole formed on the circumference of the main body and communicating with the circular hole; and a ratchet mechanism including a ratchet wheel rotatably disposed in the circular hole, a dog member movably accommodated in the through hole and a resilient hoop fitted around the main body to exert a resilient force onto the outer side of the dog member, keeping the dog member resiliently engaged with the ratchet wheel. When the dog member is engaged with the ratchet wheel, the ratchet mechanism provides a ratchet effect and the main body of the socket is one-way drivingly engaged with the ratchet wheel.

Abstract: A ratchet wheel screwdriver structure includes a rod, a handle, and a control unit. The rod has a turning part at one end and a ratchet wheel at the other end. The ratchet wheel can be locked in the hinge hole on the handle, and the handles has a receiving hole at each side of the ratchet wheel. The receiving hole has a control unit on the spring part, which provides a recessed space for the ratchet to pass through. At the bottom of the recessed space, there is a 2-tiered block, which can prop the ratchet wheel at the bottom side to limit the ratchet wheel to turn towards it from the recessed space. An operator can press the control part of at each side of the ratchet wheel to drive the ratchet wheel in two directions.

Abstract: A high twisting ratchet wrench comprises a wrench body, a ratchet body, an adjusting means; two brake blocks, and two elastomers. The ratchet body, brake blocks and elastomers are installed in a head at one end of the wrench body. Each brake block is installed within one of two actuating grooves in inner edges of the head. An outer peripheral surface of each brake block has a plurality of buckling teeth. The head of the wrench body has two actuating grooves for receiving the brake blocks. Each actuating groove has a rectangular shape. A cross sectional view of each brake block has a rectangular shape. Thus, the area of the buckling teeth is increased so as to increase a contact area of the brake blocks and the ratchet body and thus the twisting force of the wrench body applied to an object locating within the ratchet body is enhanced.
