  • Publication number: 20040144226
Abstract: A cutting apparatus for cutting a material, such as leather, having a drum, a plurality of rollers, a cutter and a pair of belts. The drum includes a drum surfaces and rotates about an axis. The cutter has a cutting edge that is in contact with the drum surface and is oriented generally perpendicular to the axis. The rollers are arranged generally parallel to the axis and support the belts for rotation thereon. Each of the belts is disposed on an opposite side of the cutting edge and is positioned such that a portion of each belt extends about a corresponding portion of the drum surface forward of the cutting edge. The portion of the belts and the portion of the drum surface are positioned to frictionally co-engage the material and drive the material into contact with the cutting edge.

Abstract: A building unit for constructing a multi-layered, finite length structure, and a method of building such a structure is disclosed. Rolls of stock material are stored in cartridge stations adjacent to a build table. Mounted on the build table and capable of traveling the length of the build table is a build shuttle. The stock material is moved onto the build shuttle and as the shuttle travels the length of the table, the material is dispensed and laid onto the table. The shear assembly on the build shuttle cuts the material to a specified length. In this manner, a plurality of layers are laid onto the table until a structure containing a desired number of layers is achieved.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a processing center for automatic food treatment without human intervention throughout the process. Various food products like vegetables or fruits are placed within the storage compartments of the apparatus and, depending on apriori preprogrammed parameters, are automatically cut in 3 dimensions. The desired 3D cut is obtained by the following cutting steps: 1. Slicing of the product. 2. Horizontal cutting of sliced product. 3. Vertical cutting of sliced product. Various possibilities are established by the above process so as to allow preparation of ready made salads with predetermined size of cut components like onion, cucumber, tomato, radish, banana, apple, orange, melon, etc. The apparatus is equipped with motion converting mechanisms, multimode control and with approppiate computerized control means.

One face of the mold block is disposed with a solid die, while the other face of the mold block is disposed with a channel passing through the mold block. A pressing lever is pivotally disposed in the channel of the mold block. A housing covers the seat body and is formed with a window for a pressing section of the pressing lever to extend therethrough. In use, a paper or a sheet is pushed into the fissure of the seat body and then the pressing section of the pressing lever is depressed, whereby a protuberance of the pressing lever is moved downward to force the mold block downward with the die punching the paper or the sheet placed in the fissure. Therefore, a product with a shape as that of the die is formed.
