Clamp Driven By Yieldable Means Patents (Class 83/388)
  • Patent number: 9307773
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for cutting dough, including, a conveyor for conveying an elongated or endless dough piece in an essentially horizontal direction; a slide, arranged translatable in the essentially horizontal direction of conveyance of the conveyor, a cutting blade, extending horizontally and essentially perpendicular to the direction of conveyance of the conveyor, and coupled to the slide, translatable in an essentially vertical direction, a moment, having an arm extending essentially vertically, with a first arm part extending above a fulcrum, and a second arm part extending below the fulcrum, the first arm part coupled to the slide, and the second arm part coupled to a first drive for rocking the arm about the fulcrum, and a second drive, for translating the cutting blade in the essentially vertical direction with respect to the slide.

Abstract: A fully automated optical fiber cutter includes a fiber cutter body and a fiber clamp. The fiber cutter body includes a cutter cover body and a cutter main body, which are pivotally connected. Inside the cutter main body is provided with a movable blade-fixation seat, which comprises a blade for fiber cutting. The fiber clamp is installed on the cutter main body. The fiber clamp includes a clamp main body and a clamp cover body, which are pivotally connected. The cutter cover body, the clamp cover body and the blade-fixation seat are linked by a linkage component. When the fiber in use, the cutter cover body is pressed to drive the clamp cover body close and push the blade-fixation seat to move, thereby the blade is aligned to cut the fiber.

  • Patent number: 5901627
Abstract: The present invention relates to shearing apparatus, and method of operating the same. The apparatus may include a plurality of spring clamping members positioned longitudinally along a first die shoe, the clamping members positioned in raised stepped sequence from a centerline perpendicular to longitudinal sides of the die shoe to sequentially contact with the sheet material. The shearing apparatus may include a die assembly having linear bearings and guide rails for guiding movement of the die shoe, and gas springs which return the die shoe to the open position. The shearing apparatus provides straight cuts with a maximum cut-edge tolerance of 0.0015 inch. The shearing apparatus may include a second die shoe having an angled blade to allow a higher shear to break ratio.

  • Patent number: 5125306
Abstract: An overload assembly is disclosed for use with a tube cutting apparatus of the type having a die set for holding a tube while a blade cuts the tube. The die set comprises two die jaws having cam followers which contact a die jaw cam to move the die jaws to clamp the tube. The overload assembly allows one of the die jaws of the die set to stop moving when an obstruction is encountered. The overload assembly includes a spring mounted through a lever arm to the cam follower. An overload biasing force is applied to the cam follower through the lever arm. If an obstruction force exceeds the overload biasing force, the lever arm is rotated and the effective length of the lever arm is reduced, causing the overload biasing force to decay to a lesser value. A scarfing blade may initially score the tube prior to cutting. In one embodiment, the overload biasing force is applied to the die jaw which does not encounter a binding force between the scarfing blade and the tube.

  • Patent number: 4951538
Abstract: Single blade, single cut tubing cut-off apparatus moves a blade along a first path of travel in which a first portion of the blade pierces the tubing and a second path of travel in which a second portion of the blade completes the cut, all in a concerted process. Motion of the blade is controlled by a cam and follower. The tubing is clamped for cutting by a pair of pivotably mounted jaws opened and closed by spring biased cam action.

  • Patent number: 4914996
Abstract: A pressing tool including means for cutting a blank from a strip fed longitudinally into the tool. The cutting means comprise a stationary lower punch carried by a press table and a vertically mobile upper die normally located above the punch and intended to be moved in the direction of this punch by the mobile press slide. Means are provided for cutting the end scrap from the strip, these means comprising shears having a stationary blade and a mobile blade, a device for transfer of a cut blank, prestamped blank, or stamped blank, from the station which the blank occupies to the following station, and means to lift each cut blank to the level of the transfer device. The stationary blade is carried by the support of the punch while the mobile blade is carried by the die.

  • Patent number: 4854202
Abstract: Apparatus and method are disclosed for cutting paper pads to provide a paper pad which has a beveled edge. The apparatus includes a gripping assembly for gripping the pad and a positioning assembly for bending the pad intermediate its ends. A cutting assembly is provided for cutting the pad with a perpendicular cut while it is bent such that when the pad is returned to its original planar configuration, the cut edge will assume beveled configuration.
