Abstract: An objective is to provide a position and posture adjustment method capable of promptly adjusting the position and the posture of a robot with respect to a workpiece while making variations caused by the operator small.
Abstract: A cutting device 15 that, after a sheet S is stuck on a wafer W on a sticking table 13, cuts the sheet S along the outer edge of the wafer. The cutting device 15 comprises a robot body 62 disposed beside the sticking table 13 and a cutter blade 63 supported by a tool holding chuck 69 positioned at the front end of the robot body 62. The cutter blade 63 is detachably attached to the tool holding chuck so as to be replaceable and is arranged so as to cut the sheet S in a state that the posture thereof is adjusted along a preset movement track.

Abstract: A semiconductor wafer saw and method of using the same for dicing semiconductor wafers are disclosed comprising a wafer saw including variable lateral indexing capabilities and multiple blades. The wafer saw, because of its variable indexing capabilities, can dice wafers having a plurality of differently sized semiconductor devices thereon into their respective discrete components. In addition, the wafer saw with its multiple blades, some of which may be independently laterally or vertically movable relative to other blades, can more efficiently dice silicon wafers into individual semiconductor devices.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing and stacking sheets cut from a web of material, in which by longitudinal cutting, at least two web sections 7a, 7b of predetermined width are cut from the web of material 7, by transverse cutting, a predetermined number of sheets of material of desired length are cut from each of the web sections 7a, 7b, and the cut sheets are delivered to stackers which stack the cut sheets according to the different cut formats.
Abstract: A process for obtaining disposable cleaning cloths is disclosed which consists in taking a fabric piece of a width corresponding to that of the cleaning cloth to be obtained and subjecting it to successive intermittent transversal cuts in the direction of the weft spaced according to the length of the cleaning cloth. The cuts prevent unravelling and help the user to detach each cleaning cloth individually from the rest of the piece. The cleaning cloths have longitudinal edges which may not be unravelled in the direction of the warp. If the piece of fabric is of a width which is a multiple of the envisaged width of the cleaning cloths, longitudinal cuts are made in the piece of fabric spaced apart from each other in the direction of the warp after which intermittent transversal cuts are made. The resulting cleaning cloth consists of a rectangular portion of fabric whose four edges may not be unravelled.
Abstract: A sheet cutting apparatus and a method of cutting tobacco sheet into cut filler are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a fixed ledger blade and a rotatable cutter blade coacting with the ledger blade to simultaneously cut the tobacco sheet transversely and longitudinally into cut pieces useful as cut filler in a cigarette making process. The cut pieces may have a rectangular, zigzag or scalloped shape according to different embodiments of the invention.
Abstract: To provide for efficient handling of stock material (40) and cut-off elements (41), which may be workpieces or cut-off wedges, by a cut-off saw, with miter adjustments, a positioning finger (21) is pressed against the stock material to engage the stock material against a guide plate or bar (19) prior to clamping the stock material in position for cut-off. After cutting of the stock material, the clamp (5) is released, and the finger is moved to a position ahead of the cut-off surface, and then longitudinally in feeding direction to a removal conveyor (28) so that the cut-off element is raked away by the positioning finger. After removal, the positioning finger is retracted out of the path of the stock material and, while new stock material is being fed, is longitudinally returned to the starting position to again align new stock material against the guide plate or bar (19).
Abstract: A web 26 of packaging material on which a plurality of cigarette wrapper blanks 10 are defined in oppositely rotated and laterally dsplaced pairs, is fed between a reciprocatable punch 38 and a fixed support 36 having cooperating cutting edges 39 and counter edges 40, respectively, whereby the downward movement of the punch severs a pair of blanks from the web. The continued downward movement of the punch separates the two blanks of the severed pair through the cooperation of a further cutting edge 45 on the punch and a counter edge 46 on a turntable 41 disposed beneath the fixed support. The turntable is then rotated 180.degree. to successively feed the separated blanks to a suction conveyor 47.
