  • Patent number: 10183455
Abstract: (N+1) band-like cut members are manufactured by cutting a band-like member N times along the length direction of the reinforcing cords. At such time, cutting positions are set at locations in the width direction of the band-like member from a first end toward a second end, and cuts are made in the band-like member on the basis of the cutting positions. Setting the cutting positions includes: a step A in which cutting positions of the band-like member are set M times (where M is a natural number less than N) for every fixed first number of reinforcing cords; and a step B in which a second number of the reinforcing cords is set within an allowable number range, and the cutting positions are set at (N?M) locations using the second number such that band-like cut members having the second number of reinforcing cords are continuously produced.

Abstract: A compound miter saw includes a unique table assembly which incorporates an orientation system for a group of wear plates and a three position lock system. The wear plates between the table assembly and the base of the miter saw have a different configuration at each end which requires them to be assembled in to the table saw with any burred edge being positioned away from the table assembly. The lock system incorporated into the table assembly is movable between three positions. The first position locks the table to the miter saw. The second position permits rotation of the table with a spring loaded detent system releasably locking the table at various miter angles. The third position permits rotation of the table with the spring loaded detent system being disengaged providing free movement of the table.

  • Patent number: 6327949
Abstract: A safety device for a radial arm saw is presented. The device is readily attached to a radial arm saw by attaching it to the top of the table and the guide rail. The safety device has a three-sided, box-shaped handle part, which has a circular gripping handle between two of the sides. The handle is attached to a slide bar which slides through a carriage unit. The front face plate of the handle has a number of spring-loaded anti-kickback pins on one side. These anti-kickback pins are pushed in by the workpiece and the remaining, protruding, pins keep the workpiece against the table. The handle pivots upwardly from the slide bar. When it is desired to load a board onto the table for cutting, the handle is rotated up. Once the board is loaded the handle is rotated down and pushed forward. The front face plate holds the board against the guard rail and the anti-kickpins hold the board down. Once in that position, the saw blade can be pulled across the board, thus cutting the board.
