Abstract: A blade clamping device comprises a main body which includes two opposited sidewalls and a base plate connected therebetween for defining a cavity for receiving a blade therein. A fixing device mounted between the two sidewalls. A pivot lever is pivotly mounted on the main body about an axis for driving the fixing device to fix or release the blade. A spring is biased between the main body and the pivot lever, which can hold the pivot lever in a predetermined position at which the fixing device clamps the blade tightly. The blade clamping device of the present invention can be kept in the position where the blade is released such that the blade can be easily detached or inserted as required. Furthermore, the operation becomes convenient and easy because of the short moving distance of the operation handle when an operator turns round the pivot lever to fix or release blade.
Abstract: A saw for undercutting door jambs or trim including a saw blade attached to a flange having a first portion attached to the saw blade, a second, offset portion that extends away from a plane defined by the first portion and a third portion that extends away from the second portion in a plane generally parallel with the first portion. The third portion of the flange has a saw attachment portion for use with a general purpose saw.
Abstract: A holder for a jig saw. The jig saw holder has a pair of opposing support members movably attached to the base member such that the support members can be moved toward or away from one another. Each support member has a jig saw receiving surface for receiving a first portion of the base of a jig saw. The support members are spaced apart from each other so as to define a region for receiving a blade of the jig saw when each jig saw receiving surface receives a corresponding portion of the base of the jig saw. The jig saw holder also includes a pair of adjustable members. Each adjustable members is movably attached to a corresponding support member adjacent to the jig saw receiving surface of that support member. Each adjustable member and the corresponding jig saw receiving surface cooperating to define a jig saw base receiving region for receiving a portion of the base of the jig saw. The position of each adjustable member is adjustable so as to vary the size of the jig saw receiving region.
Abstract: A sanding block attachment for a jig saw including a block portion adapted for securement to the reciprocating blade of the jig saw. The block portion has a generally rectangular configuration. The block portion is defined by a long front face, a long rear face, a short top face, a short bottom face, and long opposed side faces. A sheet of sandpaper is removably secured to the long front face of the block portion.
Abstract: An attachment arrangement is described which converts the reciprocal motion of a reciprocal saw into oscillatory cutting motion of a circular blade. The circular blade is provided between circular sleeves, which limit the depth to which the blade can cut into a substrate. Using this arrangement, wallboard may be cut without reaching studs, wires or pipes situated behind the wallboard.
Abstract: The machine tool comprises a frame (1, 2, 3) with two fixing elements (22 and 39) for fastening a scroll saw blade. The fixing element (22) is driven by an electrical motor (5) in a vertical reciprocating movement. The two fixing elements (22 and 39) are linked to each other by a metallic ribbon (45) passing on pulleys (46 to 50). The position of the pulley (47) can be changed by means of a cam (53) acting on an arm (52) so as to stretch the ribbon (45) to the desired value.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for slicing, lifting and carrying round bales or the like. The method for slicing the bale consists of making a radial cut through the length of the bale. The radial cut causes the circumferentially wrapped bale fibers to be cut which causes bale to open up. A partial radial cut, leaving the outer bale fibers uncut, can be made leaving bale substantially in a cylindrical shape to facilitate easy transport with a forklift like carrier. The apparatus consists of a mast assembly mounted to raiseable three point hitch of an agricultural tractor or the like. A pair of parallel forks are directly attached to mast and engage the curved sides of bale so as to lift and support bale for easy transport. A hydraulically activated knife assembly is attached to mast and forks. The knife has serrated teeth which cut through bale when knife reciprocates. A bumper or work guide when attached to the end of forks holds bale during cutting process.

Abstract: A work table and hold-down assembly for adapting a power hand saw such as a saber saw or jig saw for bench use. The assembly includes a work table which is clamped to the base of the saw, the work table having an opening through which the saw blade passes. A work hold-down member is held in adjustably spaced relation to the work table by a clamping swivel stem rotatably mounted in the opening of the work table, thereby permitting the work-holding member to be moved laterally with respect to the work. A safety shield carried by the work-holding member is in spaced, surrounding relation to the saw blade.
Abstract: A portable grinder utilizing a standard electric hand drill as a source of mechanical power has a support base structure upon the upper surface of which is journalled a drive spindle one end of which is adapted to receive, in driving engagement, the chuck of the hand drill, and the other end of which serves to drive a grinding wheel and other rotatively driven tools selectively attachable thereto. Adjustable means is provided for supporting an electric hand drill in rotary alignment with the drive spindle; and a cover member removably attachable to the base structure renders the assemblage fully portable.
