A clamp integrated into the separating shaft clamps the positioned separating discs on the separating shaft. A disc positioner automatically positions the separating discs on the separating shaft in accordance with a cutting program, wherein the disc positioner is integrated into the separating shaft in addition to the clamp clamping the separating discs on the separating shaft.

    Abstract: A carpet recycling machine includes a carpet-pile removal machine and a carpet-thickness identification means. The carpet-thickness identification means is incorporated in a carpet handling system that includes a conveyor. In use, carpet is placed pile down on one end of the conveyor which feeds the carpet in to the carpet-pile removal machine. The carpet is urged to pass the carpet-thickness identification means, which measures the thickness of the carpet's backing substrate. This measurement is used to control an offset setting means of the carpet-pile removal machine in order to set an offset between a blade and first roller. Thus the height that the blade cuts the carpet can be set for each piece of carpet processed. As the carpet continues past the carpet-thickness identification means, towards the carpet-pile removal machine, the carpet is urged into the carpet-pile removal machine to be separated in to pile and backing substrate.

The safety signal is output from the controller (26) to a high voltage generation circuit (30) to stop generation of a high voltage in the high voltage generating circuit (30). In this manner, the acceleration sensor (24) is used to detect any unexpected, sudden danger, while diminishing influence of the acceleration caused by vibration inherent to the own nature of the work apparatus, its intended regular operation and its posture change in regular operation.

    Abstract: A press for forming a workpiece with a tooling set includes an actuator assembly carrying a movable half or punch of the tooling set and having a two phase operation. In the first phase the actuator provides relatively low force in moving the punch to an intermediate position in close proximity to the workpiece. A sensor detects the position of the punch, and when the punch reaches the intermediate position provides a continue signal. The second phase of actuator operation is conditioned on occurrence of the continue signal, and uses normal high force to press the movable tooling half against the workpiece to complete the operation. Also provided is a sensor for measuring the board width while moving on the servo-driven friction belt system, where the width is input to a computer controlling the friction belt system and which determines the optimum laser pattern.
