Since the pipe to be cut is put on a rotary table which is mounted a slide table, it can be continuously rotated and moved with respect to the band saw assembly during the cutting operation. Hence, the pipe to be cut can be completely cut by a band saw blade whose operable cutting length of the band saw blade does not have to be larger than the diameter of the pipe, which reduces cutting time while improving cutting efficiency. The service life of the band saw blade is extended since the cutting operation is not just performed by the rotation of the band saw blade.
