  • Patent number: 10661468
Abstract: A linear saw, machining method using the same and numerical controlled machining device. The linear saw has: a machining part (1), for cutting a machining object in a linearly extending direction of the linear saw, and generating a slot on the machining object; and the linear saw further includes a space-keeping part (2) arranged such that the whole linear saw does not contact the slot or is not subject to an acting force of the slot when the space-keeping part passes through the slot. As the linear saw is provided with a space-keeping structure, the linear saw has time and space to recover from a deformation generated by cutting the machining object, thus effectively preventing accumulated errors, and greatly improving the position precision of the machining seam.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for forming longitudinal undercut grooves in wood products. It also concerns a cutting blade (5, 12, 14, 15) that could be used in the method. According the invention a longitudinal straight groove (4) is formed in a wooden work piece (1) in a first step, for instance by means of a circular saw blade (2). In a second step the work piece (1) is moved pass the cutting blade (5, 12, 14, 15) to form an undercut groove (7, 8, 9, 10), which undercut groove is either symmetric or asymmetric. The cutting blade (5, 12, 14, 15) has a number of cutting heads (6). The cutting width of the cutting heads increase from a first cutting head (6a) to a last cutting head (6b).

Abstract: The present invention provides a band saw blade 1 which has less difference in cut areas of workpieces with small diameters and cut areas of workpieces with large diameters, and is capable of weakening the cutting resistance and preventing unintentional bending of a cutting line and noise generation when a workpiece, which cannot easily be cut, is cut. The band saw blade 1 has, on the back surface 5 of a body 3 thereof, a wavy back surface 5 which is changed periodically or irregularly. A plurality of imaginary curves L1,L2 running parallel to the wavy undulation provided for the back surface 5 are formed opposite to the back surface. Moreover, a plurality of saw teeth 2,4,6,8,10 having tooth tips which substantially describe the imaginary curves L1,L2 are formed. Thus, constant areas can be cut by the band saw blade 1 regardless of the diameter of the workpieces required to be cut. The succeeding tooth 7 has left-hand and right-hand set teeth 7L, 7R bent in the left-hand and right-hand directions by splitting an approximately central portion 7D of a tooth edge on a tooth line in its thickness direction; and the clearance between end tip insides of the above left-hand and right-hand set teeth 7L, 7R is smaller than the thickness of the preceding tooth 5. Further, the thickness of portions of the left-hand and right-hand set teeth 7L, 7R near their end tip portions are approximately equal to the thickness of portions of the left-hand and right-hand set teeth near respective base portions thereof.

Abstract: A saw blade comprising a basic body (8) lying in a longitudinal center plane (9) and having an edge and including along its edge a group (6) of recurring teeth (1, 2, 3, . . . ), the group (6) comprising at least one unset leading tooth (1) being provided with a phase and having an effective cutting-edge section (10) and a preferably even number of trailing teeth (2, 3, . . . ). All of the trailing teeth (2, 3, . . . ) have different plastic deformations at their tips (28) by displacements of material in the running direction (24) of the saw blade. Each of the trailing teeth (2, 3, . . . ) have both a positive enlarged rake angle (gamma.sub.2, gamma.sub.3, . . . ) and a reduced height (h.sub.2, h.sub.3, . . . ) with respect to the leading tooth (1) produced by different plastic deformations.

  • Patent number: 6065380
Abstract: This invention concerns a saw blade (S) including at least one part with fine teeth (6) and at least one part with grouped teeth (7). The part of the blade with grouped teeth (7) includes a number of groups (4) of, for example, V-shaped indentations (10) in the blade (S), each pair of indentations defining a saw tooth (1). Each group (4) comprises an even number of indentations. In an arbitrary group (e.g. indentations one, three, five, etc.) a first imaginary line A), drawn between alternate tips (11) or base, is a straight line which forms a small angle (a) in relation to the longitudinal direction of the saw blade, the tips or bases being evenly distributed along the line. The invention also concerns a method and a device for producing a saw blade with grouped teeth by means of a tool comprising a punch and a punch die. The punch for cutting out the saw teeth is completely symmetrical and has substantially V-shaped tips. A saw blade blank is fed through the tool and cut in at least two stages.

  • Patent number: 5848473
Abstract: A reciprocating saw blade comprises an elongated substantially flat body having a tang end and a distal tip end, a back edge and a spaced apart cutting edge. The cutting edge is formed of first and second pluralities of alternately and oppositely facing slicing teeth which define gullets formed therebetween. The first plurality of the slicing teeth extends from the one end and merges into the second plurality of the slicing teeth which extends to the other end. Each slicing tooth includes a slicing face facing one end, a planing face facing the other end, and a tip including an uppermost planar surface. The tips of the second plurality of teeth are substantially tangent to a first tooth tip tangent line. Each tip surface of the second plurality of teeth lies at a greater angle to the first tip tangent line than the tip surface of the first plurality of teeth. A method of making a reciprocating saw blade in accordance with the present invention is also disclosed.

Abstract: A circular saw blade having a plurality of spaced sets of teeth, each set including a first forward ripper tooth and a second rearward cleaner tooth. The top surface of each member of the pair is slanted in an opposite direction, while the ripper tooth of each pair is preferably partially chamfered on its two front edges. Each member of the pair has its two side surfaces tapering inwardly toward its respective rear surface. The cutting face of the ripper tooth is longer than the cutting face of the associated respective cleaner tooth. Each ripper tooth is preferably spaced about 15 degrees around the outer periphery of the blade from the next adjacent ripper tooth, while each associated cleaner tooth is located about 5 degrees behind the respective ripper tooth. In this manner, a single blade may be used as an all-purpose cutting blade to make clean cuts in various media without splintering.
