  • Patent number: 11554421
Abstract: A cutting tool includes a substrate and a diamond layer that covers the substrate. The diamond layer includes a rake face and a flank continuous to the rake face. A ridgeline between the rake face and the flank forms a cutting edge. The substrate includes a top surface opposed to the rake face. When viewed in a direction perpendicular to the top surface, the rake face includes a plurality of protrusions. In a cross-section perpendicular to a direction of extension of the cutting edge, each of the plurality of protrusions includes an inclined portion and a curvature portion continuous to the inclined portion. In the cross-section, a height of the inclined portion in the direction perpendicular to the top surface increases as a distance from the cutting edge increases.

  • Patent number: 9999984
Abstract: A circular cutting blade is configured for cutting meat when turned about a rotation axis in a predetermined cutting direction. The cutting blade has a peripheral blade edge defined between the first and second sides and a plurality of circumferentially disposed cutting knives. Each cutting knife includes first and second knife sides and an arcuate knife edge that constitutes a portion of the peripheral blade edge. Each knife edge is titled and rises, relative to the rotation axis, between a first blade-edge location corresponding to a minor blade radius and a second blade-edge location corresponding to a major blade radius such that, when the circular blade is rotating in the predetermined cutting direction and cutting a work piece, the work piece first encounters the first blade-edge location of each cutting knife before encountering the second blade-edge location of that cutting knife.

Abstract: The invention relates to a solution for rapidly grooving a piece of plasterboard, enabling the creation of a plane cutting edge and a precise cut-out of the layer(s) of paper or cardboard. To this end, according to the invention, the cutting is carried out in three main steps by means of a blade having a particular shape and sharpness: a step of grooving, a step of breaking the plasterboard, and a step of levelling the cutting edge. The invention therefore relates to a blade (300) for cutting a piece of plasterboard, characterised in that it comprises at least one grooving corner (301) having a plane face and a bevelled face.

Abstract: To cut food material, in particular potatoes and sweet potatoes, into continuous close-loop shapes, a cutting blade assembly is used. The cutting blade assembly consists of an outer and at least one inner concentrically arranged cutting blade, where each cutting blade has a close-loop cross-sectional shape. The space between adjacent cutting blades forms a cutting tube. The cutting tubes ultimately form the cross-sectional shapes of the cut food material. Supports, such as blade guides and plungers are slidably positioned between the cutting blades in the cutting tubes. These supports maintain the distance between adjacent cutting blades and assist in separating cut food material from the cutting blades. This cutting blade assembly may be used in a method and system for cutting food material into continuous close-loop shapes.
