Abstract: Methods and systems are described that are utilized for remotely controlling a musical instrument. A first digital record comprising musical instrument digital commands from a first electronic instrument for a first item of music is accessed. The first digital record is transmitted over a network using a network interface to a remote, second electronic instrument for playback to a first user. Optionally, video data is streamed to a display device of a user while the first digital record is played back by the second electronic instrument. A key change command is transmitted over the network using the network interface to the second electronic instrument to cause the second electronic instrument to playback the first digital record for the first item of music in accordance with the key change command. The key change command may be transmitted during the streaming of the video data.

Abstract: An audio media visualization method and system. The method includes receiving by a computing processor, mood description data describing different human emotions/moods. The computer processor an audio file comprising audio data and generates a mood descriptor file comprising portions of the audio data associated with specified descriptions of the mood description data. The computer processor receives a mood tag library file comprising mood tags mapped to animated and/or still objects representing various emotions/moods and associates each animated and/or still object with an associated description. The computer processor synchronizes the animated and/or still objects with the portions of said audio data and presents the animated and/or still objects synchronized with the portions of said audio data.

  • Patent number: 9804818
Abstract: A platform or system is disclosed for performing musical analysis to detect musical properties in received live or pre-recorded audio data. The analysis can include a synchronous analysis for generating estimated one or more transitory musical properties and an asynchronous analysis for generating one or more aggregate musical properties which can be applied to the transitory musical properties to generate confirmed musical properties, which can be stored as metadata associated with an audio file. In some cases, live audio data can be received, recorded, dynamically analyzed to provide realtime metadata (e.g., to a display), then the realtime metadata can be analyzed to provide confirmed, updated, or validated metadata. In some cases, initial analysis (e.g., dynamic analysis) can determine chord estimates, usable in further analysis (e.g., offline analysis) to estimate a musical key, which can then be applied to the chord estimates to determine the most likely chord estimates and determine chord progressions.

  • Patent number: 9805701
Abstract: For a parameter used by a tone generator unit to generate an audio signal, type of an effect to be given to the audio signal and degree of the effect to be given to the audio signal are set according to an operation of a panel strip which functions as a combination of an increase control decrease controls with an upper cursor part and a lower cursor part. This setting is made so that when an operation to further decrease the degree of the effect to be given to less than zero is detected, the type of the effect to be given to the audio signal is changed.

Abstract: A game system executes a game that progresses in response to action commands issued on a plurality of electronic devices. When a first action command has been issued on a first electronic device, the system notifies a second electronic device, which is different from the first electronic device, of the issuance of the action command on the first electronic device. The system also sets a first time period until an action triggered by the first action command is reflected in the game, and after the elapse of the first time period from the time based on the first action command, reflects the action triggered by the first action command in the game executed by the second electronic device.
