Accompaniment Patents (Class 84/712)
  • Patent number: 7915513
Abstract: An automatic accompaniment generating apparatus capable of generating automatic accompaniment as intended by a user. In an arpeggio sounding data generation mode, when key depression tones are input by a user's key depression operation after arpeggio pattern data is selected and a loop count is set to a value of “1” by the user, the sounding of the key depression tones is started, and the generation of a sounding data list is started based on the tone pitches of the key depression tones and sounding pattern data included in the selected arpeggio pattern data. In the case of the loop count being set to “1”, the reproduction of the sounding data list is completed at the end of one bar, and thereafter only the key depression tones are sounded until a key release operation is performed by the user.

  • Patent number: 7705231
Abstract: A method for generating an accompaniment for a recorded audio melody includes providing a recorded audio melody that includes segments; performing a frequency analysis of the recorded audio melody; summing the total duration of each fundamental frequency within a segment of the melody; based on the summing, computing a probability for each possible chord for each segment; based on the computed probabilities, selecting a set of chords for the segments; and outputting the set of chords as an accompaniment for the recorded audio melody. Various other methods, devices, systems, etc. are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5744744
Abstract: An electric stringed instrument having an integral accompaniment system is proposed. The vibrations of the strings on the electric stringed instrument are detected as analog signals by a pickup device. A portion of the detected signal is extracted, has its voltage adjusted, is converted into a digital signal, and is read into a CPU as a digital signal within a range of 0-5 volts. An amplification factor of the digital signal is determined according to sound volume data included in accompaniment data stored within the accompaniment system, and the proportion of sound volume between the player's performance and an automatically generated accompaniment is adjusted by multiplying the sound volume of the player's performance, or of the accompaniment, by the amplification factor. The sound volume adjustment is effected only once and only when an automatic balancing switch provided on the instrument is depressed.

  • Patent number: 5062097
Abstract: A device for playing back a music or video source such as a digital audio tape recorder, Compact Disc, Laser Vision Disc, video tape recorder, television and FM broadcasting and analog records comprises means responsive to control information supplied from a music or video source device for controlling an externally controllable electrical or electronic musical instrument so as to perform the musical instrument automatically in synchronism with playback of the source device. An electrical or electronic musical instrument is performed automatically in synchronism with playback of a source so that a reproduction atmosphere which cannot be obtained by mere playback of the source can be created.

  • Patent number: 4945805
Abstract: An electronic music and sound mixing device, to be combined with a doll or a toy animal. The device comprising a mix ROM and a speech ROM for storing digital data of melodies, accompaniments and animal voices, a logical control circuit for controlling the operation of this device responsive to external signals to play a single song or all of the stored songs, once or continuously. The devices further include melody and accompaniment generators for treating the digital data read from the mix ROM and couples their output to a mix circuit which mixes the signals and shapes them into square waves for coupling to an amplifier for generating an audio output. The device can also output synchronized signals simultaneously to drive a motor to give facial expressions and limb movements to the toy animal in accordance with the song played.
