Patent number: 9791232Abstract: A trigger reset that is disposed in a firearm handle including an electric motor, a battery, a gear box and cam lobe mounted on a shaft of the motor. A reset bar assembly is secured to the cam lobe. As shaft turns, cam lobe moves to provide a reciprocating motion to reset bar assembly. The reset bar assembly may be biased in lateral directions via a spring or the like. Rearward movement of the firearm trigger causes movement of the reset bar assembly in a rearward longitudinal direction. When the trigger reset is actuated, the motor rotates the cam lobe moving the reset bar assembly in a forward position thereby urging the trigger to a reset position prior to actuating the next firing sequence. The reset trigger system further includes a switch defining a face portion that is positioned on the exterior surface of the grip and immediately below the trigger for easy accessibility when holding or firing the firearm.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2016Date of Patent: October 17, 2017Inventor: David A. Patent number: 5852891Abstract: An exceedingly simple, logical, and reliable trigger assembly that allows the trigger to release smoothly with very little applied force. The present invention provides an improved, exceedingly unencumbered trigger apparatus for guns utilizing the resistant force of a spring to drive a firing pin or piston. This novel trigger assembly employs a fluid movement of simply interrelated parts to fire a gun. The invention basically comprises a pivotally moving sear having multiple pivot pins, one of which is sequentially connected to multiple linkages also having multiple pivot pins. When the trigger assembly is in a state of engagement, the sear is perpendicular to the linkages. By actuation of the trigger, the horizontal alignment of the linkages relative to one another is slightly broken, resulting in the upset of the perpendicular alignment of the sear relative to the linkages through the multiple pivots.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1997Date of Patent: December 29, 1998Inventors: Masamichi Onishi, Hideyuki Nakatani

Patent number: 5487233Abstract: A firing mechanism for a firearm having a spring pressed firing pin comprises a sear engagable with the spring pressed firing pin in its cocked position and releasable by the sequential release of a sear locking lever and a sear release lever through an abutting contact of a portion of the trigger element with the sear locking lever. The initial and final positions of the trigger, as well as the spring bias imparted to the trigger are readily adjustable, without disassembly. A second stage trigger pull may be incorporated by a second stage lever whose position relative to the trigger may be readily adjusted. All adjustment of the trigger positions, and the spring force on the trigger in either the primary or second stage pull are readily adjustable by screws which are accessible through the between of two horizontally spaced trigger housing plates. Five spacers for the trigger housing plates provide abutments for the various trigger springs and adjustments.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1995Date of Patent: January 30, 1996Inventor: Jewell, Arnold W.

Patent number: 5074190Abstract: The multiple firing gun assembly includes a semi-automatic gun having a firing trigger and a frame including a trigger guard to which is connected a multiple firing trigger biasing device. The device includes a biasing spring contacting and biasing the trigger forward into the ready-to-fire resting position. A connector clamps or otherwise secures the spring in place within the trigger guard. Preferably, the biasing force exerted by the spring is changeable. The spring is either directly in front of or directly behind the trigger and bears against it to either pull it forward or push it forward. In one embodiment, the spring is in the form of a long wire, the upper end of which is positioned against the rear end of the trigger and the lower end of which is secured to a rotatable paddle carried by a trigger guard clamp. The paddle allows the biasing force to be varied. In another embodiment, a spring-biased plunger contacts the rear end of the trigger.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1990Date of Patent: December 24, 1991Inventor: Vincent F. Troncoso

Patent number: 4803910Abstract: The assembly is adapted for use with a preferably semi-automatic gun. It includes a mounting block which is adapted to releasably clamp over the lower rung of a trigger guard bar and which bears a trigger-actuating component rotatably secured thereto. That component includes a supplemental trigger depending below the block and a number of spaced trigger-actuating fingers in the form of spokes or notches disposed in an arc on a plate bearing the supplemental trigger. A spring is trained around a stud on the block and has its opposite ends intercepting the fingers and the trigger of the gun to which the block is mounted. The spring acts as a trigger trip lever. Thus, the fingers during their rotation sequentially strike the spring which is rotatably secured to the block, the spring thereupon sequentially striking the gun trigger to effect the firing. The assembly is simple, durable and efficient.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1987Date of Patent: February 14, 1989Inventor: Vincent F. Troncoso
