For Relatively Movable Gun Barrels Patents (Class 89/41.16)
  • Patent number: 11892258
Abstract: A firearm synchronized discharge device for facilitating a synchronized discharge of two or more firearms are described together with associated systems, firearms and methods. The device includes an actuator for engaging with a movable trigger of a first firearm, a sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of a force applied to the trigger and a first controller operatively coupled to the sensor and to the actuator. The actuator is configurable between a first configuration that prevents movement of the trigger toward a firearm-discharge position of the trigger, and a second configuration that permits movement of the trigger toward the firearm-discharge position of the trigger. When the force meets a criterion and the one or more other firearms are ready for discharge, the actuator is caused to transition from the first configuration to the second configuration to permit actuation of the trigger and discharge of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 11293708
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gun (1) with a pair of barrels (6?, 6?) flanking each other, each delimiting a cartridge chamber (12?, 12?). The gun further comprises a pair of firing pin tips (8?, 8?) for a cartridge (10?, 10?), movable towards the cartridge chambers (12?, 12?) by means of a firing device operated by a trigger (4?, 4?); such device acts on the firing pin tips to allow a substantially simultaneous advancement thereof. The invention also relates to a two row magazine for a double barrelled gun.

  • Patent number: 10928152
Abstract: A turret intended to be mounted on an armored vehicle includes: a barrel system having a barrel liner and a protective tube against impacts and vibrations connected to the barrel liner at a junction with a mask of the turret; and a rigid and interchangeable interface system to attach to the turret a piece of functional equipment including at least an aiming system. The interface system is fastened on the protective tube against the impacts and vibrations such that the interface system is placed in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the barrel system. The interface system includes, in the following predefined order: an essentially semi-circular or semi-cylindrical enclosure serving as a support surrounding the protective tube against the impacts and vibrations; a base attached to the enclosure; a plate over the base; and a support fastened perpendicularly to the plate.

  • Patent number: 10557683
Abstract: A controllable firing pattern firearm system is described herein. The controllable firing pattern firearm system includes a firearm, one or more actuators for adjusting at least one of a position and orientation of the firearm, and a controller controlling the actuators to produce a designated firing pattern on a target as the firearm is fired. The controller receives several user inputs to generate the commands for the actuators to produce the designated firing pattern, where the designated firing pattern may be a spiral firing pattern. The user provides input through a control panel having several control input mechanisms. The user inputs include a firing pattern size or target diameter, projectile firing density, and a distance of a target from the firearm, among other inputs. A method is also described herein for firing a spiral firing pattern on a target with the controllable firing pattern firearm system.

  • Patent number: 7926408
Abstract: Improvements to projectile devices (particularly air guns) include techniques for measuring and controlling the velocity of projectiles in the barrel and after leaving the barrel, allowing the use of non-toxic projectiles. Tracking of a projectile's flight by its unique sound and/or its unique electromagnetic signal or signal modulation are also provided, along with after-barrel guidance that can be used to improve accuracy. Control for discriminating between authorized and unauthorized users is also provided. A projectile device can also be used for inexpensive and harmless practice using optical and/or acoustic information gathered by targeting and imaging systems built into the device.

  • Patent number: 6701661
Abstract: A device for adjusting the relative positions of a first module and a second module on a firearm system includes an intermediate barrel adapted for mounting to the firearm system such that an axis of the intermediate barrel is fixed relative to the first module. A first adjusting cam is rotatably supported on the intermediate barrel and operatively engages the second module at an attachment point so as to displace the attachment point along a first adjustment line in response to rotation of the first adjusting cam. A second adjusting cam is rotatably supported on the intermediate barrel and is rotatable independently of the first adjusting cam. The second adjusting cam operatively engages the second module at the attachment point and is arranged to displace the attachment point along a second adjustment line in response to rotation of the second adjusting cam. The first and second adjustment lines are non-parallel to each other.
