Abstract: A wet-type dust collector for a vacuum cleaner. The disclosed wet-type dust collector includes a first separating portion, the inside of which is filled with water for separating dust from air that is suctioned in from the outside; an exhaust pipe unit having an exhaust outlet and installed inside the first separating portion; and a passage-closing unit installed inside the exhaust pipe unit, wherein the passage-closing unit closes the exhaust outlet of the exhaust pipe unit by means of the combined forces of the suctioning force through the exhaust pipe unit and the buoyant force of the water, in order to prevent the water from leaking out from the first separating portion.

Abstract: An improved air filtration system is provided for a kitchen island so as to cleanse cooking vapors from the air. The system includes an updraft or downdraft air inlet vent for capturing, either individually or simultaneously, the vapor-containing air generated during the cooking process. The captured air is directed through an exhaust duct to an air filter which removes the cooking vapors from the air. The filtered air is then discharged back into the kitchen. The filtered air may also be dehumidified or heated, and a fragrance may optionally be provided to the filtered air. The air filtration system can also be used simply as air cleaner for the kitchen with the option of adding a fragrance to the air.
Abstract: Apparatus for use with a natural gas dehydrator wherein a portion of the wet glycol in an emissions separator is pumped under pressure as circulating wet glycol which may be used as a coolant for effluent removed from a reboiler and/or a power source for an eductor to form a vacuum in a first chamber of a liquid water removal separator apparatus. The cooled effluent, comprising at least liquid water, liquid hydrocarbons and uncondensed vapors, moves into the first chamber wherein the liquid water and/or the liquid hydrocarbons are separated from the uncondensed vapors. At least, the uncondensed vapors are removed from the first chamber and move into the eductor wherein they are compressed and combined into the circulating wet glycol. The separated liquid water is transferred to a second chamber of the liquid water removal separator apparatus and then removed therefrom. In some instances, the liquid hydrocarbons are transferred to a third chamber and removed therefrom.

Abstract: Hydrogen fluoride production apparatus removes phosphate rock dust from a hot gas mixture exhausted from a phosphate rock defluorination kiln; cools the hot gas mixture in a heat exchanger to a low enough temperature that it can be brought into contact with acid-resistant polymeric materials without destroying them; uses a water spray scrubber for further cooling the gas and absorbing the fluoride values as HF-rich liquor; and pumps the HF liquor to a holding tank. One such plant uses a gas tube steam boiler as the heat exchange and has several series-connected scrubbers to extract the fluorine values from the kiln exhaust so that the residual gas mixture can be exhausted into the atmosphere without exceeding permissible fluorine value levels. In this arrangement water is fed into the scrubber furthest from the boiler to extract HF from the process gas, and an HF-laden process liquor is fed out of the furthest scrubber into the second furthest scrubber, where it is sprayed into the gas stream.
