Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a therapeutic gas delivery system (8) including a pressure generator inlet apparatus (10) configured to facilitate filtering of gas drawn into the inlet (14) of the pressure generator (16) of the system. The apparatus comprises a body (12) and a support (24). The body is configured to removably engage the inlet of the pressure generator and receive a particulate filter (18). The body forms an orifice (19) configured to conduct gas that has passed through the filter to the pressure generator inlet. The support is coupled to the body at or near the orifice. The support is configured to extend from the body toward the filter and support the filter. The support is configured to resist collapse of the filter into the orifice caused by gas flowing through the filter to the pressure generator inlet.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for treating air containing hydrogen sulfide gas, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals and other mercaptans in order to reduce odor and corrosion related to wet wells, dry pits, grease traps and the like. The system comprises a first and second stage air treatment system. A vacuum pump in the primary (stage 2) treatment housing vacuums the contaminated air from the source and pumps the air through a set of diffusers into a treatment fluid wherein the air is then passed through a pair of porous plates and upward through a discharge pump and then into the atmosphere. Prior to treating the air in the primary housing, it is treated in a pretreatment dry air filter wherein the air is inlet into the pretreatment (stage 1) housing and then through a microfilter prior to being passed into the primary housing for further treatment.
Abstract: An air humidifier has an electric fan unit arranged in a housing for delivering a through-flow of air between feed-air and discharge-air openings in the housing; at least one filter device for the through-flow of air; and a device for releasing liquid to the through-flow of air. A first housing component accommodates the fan unit with filter strips and feed-air and discharge-air openings. A second housing component is a vessel for storing liquid. The two housing components form autonomous structural units which can be fixed to and detached from one another. It is possible for the first housing component to be utilized as a separate unit independently of the second housing component.
Abstract: Sanding and screening are steps in floor finishing that produce large quantities of fine dust which is difficult to remove and which plugs porous filter elements of dust collection systems. Dust collection is enhanced with a floor screening attachment for a floor machine. A vacuum system with a liquid filtering medium is provided to collect dust produced during screening. A dust collection unit is also disclosed to collect and separate sawdust produced by sanding which can cause foaming of a liquid filter medium.
Abstract: A dust collector with an inbuilt cyclonic water filter, comprising a cup-shaped dust collecting unit, a water filter, a fan, a dust passage, an air flow passage, incoming and outgoing air passages; wherein, the outlets of the water filter open into the inlet of the outgoing air passage, and the outlet of the outgoing air passage is separated from the incoming air passage, passes through the outer wall of the cup-shaped dust collecting unit and is connected to the air flow passage. In operation, dust-containing air enters the dust collecting unit via the incoming air passage at a tangent, and the air flow in the dust collecting unit is whirled downwards into the water of the water filter, thereby, the dust contained in the air is wet and left in the water, while purified air is discharged.
Abstract: An air filter baffle unit that works with large type canister wet/dry type vacuums. The baffle unit also can be used in large air filter systems and can be ganged to increase filtering. The baffle unit has two sections that are connected for use. An inlet pipe is connected to the inlet of the vacuum. This inlet pipe directs the incoming dirt into the baffle unit, where it encounters a number of baffles and a water reservoir before it is expelled as clean air. In this baffle unit, there is no need for paper or other types of filters that must be periodically replaced. In this way, the baffle unit provides a simple, effective mechanism for filtering air using the wet/dry vacuum. The baffle unit can be also placed in an air filtering system that has a housing, an inlet and an outlet.

Abstract: A venturi scrubber for scrubbing a gas stream to remove undesired gaseous and particulate components. The device includes a scrubber vessel having an external wall, an upper inlet for admitting the gas stream, and a collecting reservoir at the bottom of the vessel for collecting scrubbing liquid. An internal wall extends from the upper part of the external wall to define an axial converging passage for receiving and converging the gas stream from the inlet. An adjoined downwardly extending venturi passage receives the downwardly flowing gas stream from the converging passage, the internal wall abounding the venturi passage terminating above the liquid level at the reservoir; and an annular space is thereby defined between the internal and external walls. An outlet duct for the scrubbed gas stream intersects the annular space at the upper part of the space.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner having a suction path at least partially submerged in a container of water is subdivided into two parts. An upper part supports a suction motor assembly, and a lower part includes a container of water engaged perimetrically by hooking means to the upper part, and a tubular jacket inside the container partially immersed in the water, so that an annular interspace is formed between respective side facing walls. The interspace forms a siphon to allow suction motor means to draw air and/or liquid from the outside. Also included is a perforated separating diaphragm submerged in the water, and a first removable funnel shaped deflector means placed in an almost suspended position inside the tubular jacket above the water level.
