  • Patent number: 4555986
Abstract: A rotisserie consisting of a rotating cylindrical cage and two baskets which are connected to such cage to rotate with it and within it. The baskets are weldments having facing open circular ends with the diameter of one greater than the other so they can be telescoped together and secured in a number of relatively spaced positions for holding meat. The cage has six bars sixty degrees apart and is opened by removing two of the adjacent bars which are readily removable for that purpose. The baskets each have inner cylindrical parts and outer conical parts and are adjustably secured to the cage via central rods only at the apex of each conical part. The entire rotisserie can be readily dismantled for cleaning by loosening only five thumbscrews and two wing nuts, the latter being for the removable bars.

  • Patent number: 4553523
Abstract: An adjustable grate includes first and second identical grate members each with first and second parallel supports. A plurality of upper and lower elements are secured to and extend perpendicularly to the parallel supports providing a space between the upper and lower elements. The grate is assembled by positioning the second support of each grate member between the upper and lower elements of the opposing grate member. The width of the grate is adjusted by sliding the first and second grate members together or apart. The length of the grate is adjusted by moving an upper end of the first grate member above the upper end of the second grate member until the distance between the upper end of the first grate member and the lower end of the second grate member is the desired length. First and second extension members are then positioned between the first and second supports and the upper and lower elements of each grate member.

  • Patent number: 4522117
Abstract: An apparatus for preparing scrambled eggs on a grill surface, wherein liquid scrambled eggs mix are placed within egg rings, each having a lower edge portion in intimate contact with a heated grill surface, and the egg rings are moved repeatedly to and fro, preferably in a reciprocating motion, while maintaining the lower edge portions of the egg ring in intimate contact with the grill surface. The egg mix is rapidly moved within the confines of the egg rings, and that rapid movement is continued until the egg mix in each ring has congealed into a mass of cooked scrambled egg. A carriage mounts at least two such egg rings, and each egg ring mounts a comb-like interceptor member which engages, moves, and mixes the eggs in the egg ring as the egg ring moves to and fro. The to and fro movement which is preferably reciprocating movement, is such that it produces a wave-like motion of the liquid eggs during a first portion of the cycle of rapid movement of the eggs in the egg ring.

  • Patent number: 4457219
Abstract: This invention relates to an annular rotating roaster. The user may apply a cone-shaped flame separator which has numerous outstanding scales on its inner wall, when making a fire in the roaster. Each of the scales has a perforation beneath. The heat from the burning charcoal goes through the perforations and the scales to the meat. Thus, the meat won't be scorched. In addition, the degree of heat exposure is adjusted by the turning handle. Therefore, tender meat is produced. Moreover, the fat from the hot meat does not drop directly on the burning charcoal. As a result, no smoke or ashes rise, keeping the meat from being contaminated.
