Abstract: The invention disclosed herein relates to a game that uses a plurality of specialized playing cards or tiles that entwines traditional symbols of Chinese origin (associated with the tile game of mahjong) together with numerically ranked and suited playing cards (associated with western-style card decks of the 52 playing card to a deck variety). Each inventive card or tile has displayed on one of its faces a symbol of Chinese origin, a numerical rank, and a suit of French origin. The symbol of Chinese origin is selected from the group consisting of a wan, a bamboo, a ring, a dragon, or a wind; whereas the numerical rank is selected the group consisting of a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, and king; and whereas the suit is selected from the group consisting of a spade, a heart, a club, and a diamond.
Abstract: Each of fifty-two playing cards has upper and lower portions when the card is in a selected orientation. Each card has a first face side with two numbers visible on its upper portion and the same two numbers visible on its lower portion. The two numbers are vertically oriented with respect to one another, are arranged in an identical order on the card's upper and lower portions, and are right side up on the card's upper portion and upside down on the card's lower portion. Each the two numbers is between 1 and 13, and is red or black.
Abstract: The construction of a set of playing cards comprising a group of single-valued cards and a group of double-valued cards is disclosed. In one embodiment, the power of a select group of conventionally high value cards is shifted to a select group of conventionally low value cards. Methods of using the disclosed sets of playing cards for increasing the probability of a winning hand in a game of cards are also described.
Abstract: A deck of modified playing cards enhances traditional wagering card games. In a first example, traditional card ranks are replaced with letters. For example, each Ten, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of one or more suits in a deck of playing cards is replaced with the letters “V”, “E”, “G”, “A”, and “S”, respectively. In another example, all Jacks are replaced with the numeral “11” to facilitate a 7/11 bonus game. In another example, all Kings are replaced with the number “13” and all Sevens are replaced with the letter “L” and word “Lucky.” In yet another example, pre-established cards are replaced with logos such that the logo card in a final card hand acts as bonus card or may act as a wild card. In such an arrangement, casino logos can be used to promote the casino and its amenities. In one version, awards include comps to businesses represented by the logo.
Abstract: A set of cards for playing a card game is described. Each of said cards is printed with indicia essential for the playing of the game and one or more of said cards is printed with such indicia towards a central region of the card, that is inwardly disposed from the perimeter edge. In accordance with the invention, one or more of said cards in the set is provided with one or more apertures in predetermined locations within said central region to allow at least some of the indicia printed in the central region of a first card to be seen through the apertures of second and optionally further cards when said second and further cards are superposed over said first card.
Abstract: A playing card device includes cardboard or plastic cards having a graphic design or a color on one of their faces which is repeated on the other cards. Each card includes a head that is globally circular or polygonal in shape and extended by a comma-shaped part such that the card has no axis of symmetry. Abstract: The combination of a deck of playing cards and a carrying case for them. Each of the cards in the deck of playing cards are elongated, have rounded semicircular ends connected by linear sides, suitable card names and denominations printed in the upper left and lower right corners, and have a height to width ratio in the range of 3.0 to 3.8. The carrying case is shaped to fit the deck of cards, is elongated with rounded ends and has a generally truncated ellipsoidal shape. The carrying case opens from the middle with the opening of each end having an oval shape. When closed, the top end telescopes snugly and securely with the bottom end.
Abstract: A deck of game playing cards is disclosed containing approximately 104 playing cards, each card having a back side which is similar to each of the other playing cards such that the cards cannot be distinguished by observing the back side, and a front side containing an indication of location, quantity and suit, such that when a first playing card is placed adjacent to a second playing card, the combination results in a playing card similar to a standard playing card, but approximately twice the size of the standard playing card.

Abstract: The present invention consists of a card game in which the players make two card hands where each hand consists of two cards. A deck of thirty-two cards where the deck consists of fifteen ranking pairs lettered A through 0 and two Jokers is used. All of the cards also have a point value, i.e., a numerical value. The letter ranking pairs are the highest hands except for the two Jokers, which are the highest when together and make 99. When the Jokers are together, each has a point value of nine, but when they are separate, each is wild and is to be used as either a six or a three, but has no letter value. Aside from the two Jokers and the fifteen ranking pairs, there are six other combinations better than a point value.
