Abstract: A fly fishing assembly includes a rod with an elongated sleeve mounted thereon and a cowl on one end of the sleeve for partially surrounding the rod in the vicinity of the reel to inhibit sliding of the hand of a user from the handle. By providing a flange on the bottom trailing end of the cowl, contact between the little finger of the hand holding the rod and the reel is prevented. Thus, the little finger can be positioned in front of the flange so that the caster can safely use it to lead the proper timing of casing.
Abstract: A fishing rod consists of a body having a tapered and slender rod body of a composite material. The rod body is covered by a woody layer for providing the body with a woody texture and an excellent mechanical property.
Abstract: A fishing rod structure including a handle and a fixing seat disposed on front section of the handle for fixing a line winder. A front end of the fixing seat is formed with a thread section on which a movable seat is screwed for fixing the line winder. A toothed section axially extends from front end of the thread section. A fitting sleeve is fitted in a top section of the movable seat. An abutting member is disposed on a bottom section of the fitting sleeve. The abutting member protrudes from inner circumference of the fitting sleeve to abut against the toothed section.
Abstract: An improved fishing rod of the type having a substantially cylindrical body with a peripheral surface. The improvement is a mark on the body situated so that the circumference of the fishing rod body with the mark thereon simulates the torso of a selected species of fish, with the mark having markings characteristic of markings on the torso of the selected fish species.
