  • Patent number: 6113151
Abstract: A high pressure quick connector is disclosed for use in connecting brake lines of a vehicle, particularly to a brake junction for an anti-lock brake system. The connector includes a housing for receiving a tube retainer. The tube retainer has a lower cylindrical portion that is positively attached to enclose a flared end form to provide a fluid seal. Retaining means in the form of a snap ring works in conjunction with a pop top to provide a low force and a positive insertion indicator. The snap ring has ears that are compressed together and inserted up inside a slot in the pop top. Upon installation of the tube retainer and retaining means into a central bore of the housing, an end portion of the housing makes contact with the pop top so that the pop top slides up the tube. As the pop top slides up the tube, the snap ring ears are released from the pop top slot. The snap ring expands upon release into a final latching position with the housing and tube retainer.

  • Publication number: 20180207468
Abstract: An exercise machine, such as indoor cycle, includes a multi-function wheel brake actuator. A braking force is induced on a wheel by finely or coarsely adjusting the brake actuator. The brake actuator may include a knob whereby a user may finely adjust the braking force on the wheel and a lever to actuate interval settings whereby the brake actuator provides set positions of braking resistance. The lever may include a spacer to reduce friction of the lever. The exercise machine may further include a pop-pin assembly with an over-center cam mechanism to clamp members together. The pop-pin assembly also includes a fine adjustment to adjust the clamping force. Implementations of the pop-pin assembly may be arranged to apply the clamping force by pivoting a lever of the pop-pin assembly either toward or away from the members being fixed.

  • Patent number: 10656773
Abstract: In an electronic shopping mall system (1), a receiving unit (1302) receives a content containing a higher-precedence material sent by a sending unit (1301). A display controller (1303) displays the content received by the receiving unit (1302) on a screen. The display controller (1303) displays, in response to an occurrence of an event, a pop-up on the screen in a manner superimposed on the content. In addition, when the higher-precedence material displayed on the screen is hidden by the pop-up, the display controller (1303) disposes an alternative material within the pop-up, and displays the alternative material on the screen. An executing unit (1305) executes a process associated with the higher-precedence material or the alternative material.

  • Publication number: 20120209693
Abstract: How can one be sure that marketing ads displayed on a PC are seen by the end user and not blocked by any internet pop-up blocker? How can one distribute prompt messages across an enterprise network without using email or internet explorer pop-ups? The desktop ads and messages display process concerns displaying ads of messages on the end user's desktop, detecting end user activity, and responding the various local events on the PC. The process will allow marketing ads to run on a computer without using internet pop-up windows. It will also allow display ads based on contextual information, like specific time of day or a specific PC end user action.

  • Patent number: 5625812
Abstract: A method for determining data structure by analyzing an outer join protocol statement used to access the data by sequentially parsing, identifying and storing each token on a push-pop stack. These steps are repeated until a join condition token is identified. The top three data are popped from the push-pop stack and represent a right database root structural node token, a join type token (left or right), and a left database structural root node token. The right and left node structures represented by the popped root node data are linked into one structure using the join type specification and the structural node points specified by the current join condition token. A root node datum representative of the resulting node structure is pushed back onto the push-pop stack. When all tokens have been processed, the node data represented by the resulting root node on the push-pop stack is ordered in accordance with the contained hierarchial data.

  • Patent number: 5903869
Abstract: A stick-on audio microchip recorder/playback product for message conveyance-, audio mail-, product promotion and self-reminder purposes. The product enables a user to record a personal (or business-oriented) message or self-reminder, and non-permanently fasten the recorder upon surfaces such as household doors, walls, mirrors; compatible (carry-able) objects such as appointment books or notebooks; or upon interiors of mailing-, packaging- or shipping vessels, in desired temporary locations where the intended recipient would be most likely to encounter it. The recorder is easily removable by the end-user, and reusable. A microchip recording/playback circuit, microphone, speaker, battery and record/playback controls, are secured in a housing. Preferably, the housing has on its underside an attached stick-on fastener, including a stack of "pressure sensitive" peel-off adhesive stickers, each having on their undersurface a medium adhesion substance.

  • Publication number: 20130228588
Abstract: A dispensing carton for interfolded sheets is disclosed. The carton has integral stationary means for enabling dispensing of the sheets through a single dispensing opening in a stationary wall portion of the carton to provide substantially droop-free pop-up dispensing of one sheet at a time. The carton has top, front, rear, bottom and end walls. The means for dispensing has means for defining a “T”-shaped dispensing opening having an elongate head portion which is centrally disposed in the top wall of the carton and which has a linear back edge, a stem portion that extends downwardly through a medial portion of the front wall of the carton, and a flared portion having arcuate edges disposed intermediate the head portion and the stem portion. The opening is configured to be sufficiently constrictive to enable substantially droop-free pop-up dispensing of one sheet at a time.

  • Publication number: 20160263416
Abstract: An exercise machine, such as indoor cycle, including a multi-function wheel brake actuator. A braking force is induced on a wheel, such as through eddy currents or frictionally, by finely or coarsely adjusting the brake actuator. The brake actuator may thus include a knob whereby a user may finely adjust the braking force on the wheel and a lever to actuate interval settings whereby the brake actuator provides set positions of braking resistance. The exercise machine may further include a pop-pin assembly with an over-center cam mechanism to clamp members together. The pop-pin assembly also includes a fine adjustment to adjust the clamping force. So, for example, the seat stem may be clamped to the seat tube, or the handlebar stem clamped to the head tube, with a lever actuating the over center mechanism.
